Remember that horrible creeping fear when you were little and your mum wouldn't tell you why she was picking you up from school early but brought your toothbrush? Remember that cold, clinical waiting room with large posters boasting of the horrors of tooth decay and gum disease if you DARE to have that one sugary snack? Thankfully, Gentle Dental is absolutely nothing like any of that. I hadn't been to the dentist for nigh on 10 years due to a fear of wisdom teeth removal but was forced into action when a chunk broke off from one of my back teeth. Two visits later - one check up and x-ray and one for treatment and I'm back in pain free business with a very sparkly mouth to boot. NHS friendly and as the name says - very gentle, I can't say nice enough things about my new dentist! They even have magazines that men would want to read in the waiting room!

Plus points: 1) Registration is a breeze and you can print the forms off from the website 2) You can make appointments online 3) They will call you as soon as you make the appointment with any cancellations they have that day in case you want to duck in and get it done 4) It's pretty damn clean (which is an essential element for any doctor or dentist I think yet usually lacking to some degree) 5) They accept NHS patients and are friendly to you if you are one (had a bad experience where quality of service dipped dramatically when I was using the NHS plan instead of private) Drawbacks: 1) It's in Balham which is not convenient for a mid-work day appointment 2) You often have to wait 10-15 mins even if you have an appointment Overall, it's my top choice for getting my teeth looked at and the personal care is definitely top notch.

Anyway, I noticed that my teeth were becoming slightly crooked and asked Dr Soin for his advice and I was pleasantly surprised at the range of options I had. In the end I chose an invisible brace which I even had to point out to my wife at first as it was far less obvious than I thought it would be. It was important to me to get the choice right as I knew it would be in place for a few months and Dr Soin was really good at managing my expectations around what to eat and my oral hygiene during the treatment. I had regular maintenance and cleaning check ups all of which fitted around my working schedule well. The staff are really great at answering all of my questions and reassuring me when I get nervous. My teeth are now straight and I'm surprised how many people have noticed the difference. I'm very impressed and it's been worth it. I would recommend Wimbledon Dental Spa to anyone considering this type of work.

After I already made an appointment with an Orthodontist (friend of mine) get my braces "installed", I contacted the Wimblesdon Dental Spa after reading a few great reviews and made an appointment to clean and fix some of my teeth. After the initial assessment with Dr Soin, he advised me that there are more work to be done than I initially thought or estimated and that it will take some time to do. Unfortunately for Dr Soin, I was not planning on rescheduling my appointment in getting my braces, but he understood my urgency and made it clear to me that it is very important to get the work done before I get my braces. Dr Soin then worked around my deadline and did a great job in doing so. Its great to deal with a dentist that his/her patients needs in to consideration and not just another numbered patient. I can honestly say that The Wimbledon Dental Spa has been instrumental fixing my teeth in the short space of time I provided.

Simply hate needled and people prodding around in my mouth but this practice obviously know their stuff. It was quite easy to get to, took the 249 bus and it was the stop opposite the dentists. The paperwork was quickly and the place was in a good shape. First time I was with a lady dentist and she was delicate, yet professional. She made me feel like I was a person, not just another number they're trying to run through their system to bag the pounds! If you live in the area, then I strongly recommend them!
