I went in January to have 7 teeth removed and a bottom plate made. They gave me an estimate and said Insurance would not pay all of it. So I asked a family member to help and he paid what insurance did not. All taken care of, I thought. Now they are trying to get 800+ dollars out of me. And I cannot use the denture they made. I can't eat with it, I can't even talk with it. I went back several times for adjustments, they didn't work. I have all the paperwork to prove it. Dentistry on a Saturday!!! Relaxing interior décor around a train theme, hence the name Dental Depot. Each bay has an antique cabinet for samples... the train(s) periodically parade through along the exterior walls above the window. Pleasant distraction. Music of more contemporary songs, only thing that doesn't follow the theme. The dentists, staff, and hygienists have always been patient and kind with me. They relax me by being friendly and calm. The bays are semi-open so you hear sounds from other patients and their procedures. Also, your back is to people behind you -- slightly unnerving at times, but just a nuisance mostly. In and out in very little time, reasonable rates. I prefer Dental Depot. read more

Visited for extractions and was completely dissatisfied. I was overcharged and given poor aftercare that did not meet the proper standard of care in my opinion. This is a mass market McDonald's style business and the result is much the same. Poor quality all around. The more I think about it, the angrier I get. I came to this place to get my cavity filled. The dentist told me that I needed a root canal and my bottom left wisdom tooth pulled. I was hesitant about my bottom left wisdom tooth being pulled because it was not causing any problems and it also has not come up yet (I am 23 years old). So I went home and thought about it and decided to trust the dentists' "professional" judgement, and so I rescheduled to get the extraction and a root canal performed.. The tooth that needed the root canal was the tooth that was next to the wisdom tooth that was going to be extracted. He first performed the root canal and did not put a crown on my tooth yet, then proceeded to pull out my wisdom tooth in the back. In the process, of pulling out my wisdom tooth, a nurse came and asked him what he wanted for lunch and it seemed like he began to rush. He ended up breaking my tooth that needed the root canal....and so he said that the tooth was no longer useful so he needed to pull it out too...In the end..I got a wisdom tooth and another tooth that should never have cracked pulled out... I am extremely upset because I put my trust into this dentist..and in the end, all I am left with a missing tooth... All he could say was "sorry"..I tried not to cry..but I ended up crying anyways. I truly do NOT recommend having any kind of work done here. My husband & I both had dental cleanings & had no issues. I was told they'd "watch" my smaller cavities instead of filling them. I had to ask to have them filled. Cavities are decay; they're not going to get any better. Best to fill them while they're small. But after the fills were completed, I had a LOT of sensitivity. I went back in for them to "fix" this issue. It wasn't fixed. It's now been 6 months & I still can't eat anything remotely hot, cold or sweet. My teeth HURT. I've never had this kind of sensitivity & now can't eat or drink anything that's not room temperature. My husband doesn't have AS much sensitivity, but is also having issues with his teeth now. We are currently in the process of seeking another dentist to fix the issues caused by the dental work at Dental Depot. If you need anything beyond cleanings, save yourself the headache & find a better dentist. read more

I recently had a tooth extracted and had a bad experience in the past. I was very nervous to have it done, but the staff at dental depot couldn't have been nicer! The dental hygenist and dentist both put me at ease and even let my husband in the room when they extracted the tooth. I was given nitrous oxide and several shots. They had to cut the tooth out and I was given pain medicine and antibiotics before and afterward. They are great people and very affordable. I recommend them to anyone. read more

Do yourself a favor and go anywhere but here, and by here I mean ANY Dental Depot. They wanted my son to wait 5 days for antibiotics over Christmas weekend with an infected tooth and swollen jaw. This is after the Sheridan location forgot to complete a root canal but told us it was done which left my son open for his first swollen jaw and same infected tooth. I brought my daughter to the Sheridan location because she had some tooth pain. Doctor said it was baby teeth and no cavities. When her pain continued even after the baby teeth fell out, I took her to the Harvard location only to learn that the Sheridan office missed the cavities and now she needed a root canal and crown on her front tooth in addition to a couple fillings! They are butchers and you're better off going anywhere but here. read more

I went in for an infection in my gums. I asked for antibiotics for the infection. The doctor said he'd give them to me if I agreed to the extraction. I understand, because my insurance pays alot more for an extraction, rather than just an office visit for antibiotics. The doctor pulled 3 teeth. Two came out clean. One broke during the extraction, because the roots were imbedded so deep. He forgot to write the prescription for antibiotics, and I had to ask the office staff to remind him. I am a single mother, and the next two days were the worst two days of my life, because I didn't know it'd be that painful, so I didn't know to ask for pain medication. read more

Dr. Tsai did not thoroughly check my teeth. He just said I needed two root canals after looking at my x-rays. I told him about a filling that came out in one of my teeth and about two cavities in another (that I can see plain and clear). He didn't even take a peek at those two. He just looked at my x-rays and said that I need two root canals on two other teeth. Very disappointed and upset about my visit. Total waste of time. I will be going to another dentist for a second opinion. I've always heard that Dental Depot pushed root canals heavily and I truly believe this now. Will not be returning! read more

About one year ago I started the process of getting dentures at this location with Dr. Calvin Nguyen. They had no problem tsking my money (ALOT OF MONEY) as well as alot of money from my insurance company. And of course they were nice. When the dentures didn't fit they basically started treating me like shit on thier shoes and began DEMANDING more money from me. To this day the dentures don't fit. They won't stay in my mouth. I cannot eat with them. In addition they dig holes in my gums. It is my intention to report them to the Better Business Bureau and the Dent Licensing Board. If I could do it over I would go somewhere else. I wouldn't want them to treat my dog. I don't think they care about doing anything but taking your money. DON'T USE THIS DENTIST. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would. Firstly the people that work in the front d communicate with each other or the doctors and the only reason I say that is because I would have one person call me about the root canal that I was getting and then they would tell me they would call me back and then I would get a call just for it to be someone else making sure they knew I had an appointment. What's even better is when I asked them why no one called me back about my questions all I hear is an "oh yeah" in the background how professional. Now this is where the real nightmare happened, I go in for my root canal the assistant come in tells me we are doing the start of a root canal and doing a filling not a problem the numbing lady comes in and gives me 4 shots in each mouth and when I told her I felt some discomfort she said "yeah I probably just got close to a nerve" so after she numbs me about an hour goes by and nobody has came to check up on me or anything. not to long after the hour mark a lady comes in and I tell her I've been numb for over an hour now and nobody has come in to start so she offers to put more shots in my mouth and I tell her no. I have TMJ and with most numbing shots it relaxes my jaw to much and it slips out of socket which really hurts. so finally they come in to start which a lady at the front desk had called me before my appointment to get my orthodontist number because I have braces well when the doctor looked at my mouth she asked me "where you able to get ahold of your orthodontist" and I had told her the lady at the front desk had already talked to him.(this is what I mean about lack of communication) so then the assistant asks her why we aren't starting on the filling and she said we don't do fillings on Saturday. so then I ask the assistant lady if my entire mouth needed to be numb just for the root canal and she said no. So tell me why I paid for a filling and I got numbed for a fillin IF THEY DONT DO FILLINGS ON SATURDAY! I feel like the entire staff team should know that then. after all that I got up got a refund and left I didn't trust w single person in there to perform a root canal.moral of the story is I should have read the reviews before booking there read more

We used this office for 2 years and every visit was traumatic for my child. The nitrous oxide they use does nothing. In fact I doubt it's anything but oxygen in that tube. At the time, my 8 year old needed fillings. They put the "gas" on her and then started waving the needle around. She immediately began to cry and the staff showed no compassion. They told her if she didn't stop they'd have to send her to a dentist for babies. They got pretty forceful with her to the point that I had to intervene. (Please note my daughter has used the gas at a different dentist and had wonderful results) I wouldn't recommend this dentist to my worst enemy. They permanently traumatized my child in regards to dental work. (An added downside is they use metal fillings which look awful) read more

Good place to get your teeth cleaned. The dentist is nice, but I needed an oral surgery for my wisdom tooth. The staff told me over and over that they would send my x-rays to the surgeon for 2 months. After calling them every week to send x-rays and the pain got worse; I had to go up there and pick up my x-rays. And deliver them myself to the surgeon. And Dental Depot resepist blamed me. Said I needed a referral (that their doctor gave me), then she said it was because I needed to sign papers (which I did the very first time I came) and didn't need to sign anything to leave. And then they tried to blame me for them not calling me. If something goes wrong it's your fault, just except it and move on. read more

This is probably the worst place to get dental services. I had an extraction that should have been routine, but took several hours and left me with a permanent dent in my gums! You never see the same dentist from visit to visit and the turnover is frequent. No one stays at this organization. Avoid this practice if at all possible. read more

I had a dentist appointment on yesterday, and when I left I had more than a toothache! My appt. was @ 1:00, and I didn't leave until 2:45, and only spent 5 min. with the dentist, and 3 min with the office manger. however, the lady that did my x-rays was nice, it only took her several times to get it complete, showing my tooth had a big hole in it, and was covered with white all over the screen. the female dentist finally came in at 1:45, and look at my tooth and stated it was infected but appeared to be afraid to touch me, thinking I might be contagious or something. (did I mention I was black?) I never pull the racist card, but in this case I'm more than sure of the facts. she proceeded to tell me she would prescribe me an antibiotic (assuming for the infection), and 800 mg of ibuprofen. I explained to her that I would have the tooth removed on Saturday, but meanwhile would she please prescribe something more stronger for my pain because it was a lot deeper then just ibuprofen. she proceed to tell me with the new laws, they aren't able to do that, unless I had the procedure of having it pulled (how can you pull an infected tooth?) I felt like she had told me we see your gun shot womb, but we can stop the bleeding until you come back to have the bullet removed. I explained that the same procedures that she is in the process of doing I had the same work done 3 months ago on the same side, with pain pill before and after the extraction, and with coming back to the room at my request she still refused. I then asked to see the office manger when I explained my dilemma to her, she showed no sympathy whatsoever. I only spoke with her to follow the chain of command to go beyond her head. the kicker to the entire story is while they neglected me in the room for such a long time, I was able to see & hear dentist speaking to other patients, and what I didn't tell the office manager is that I specifically heard a dentist tell another tech to prescribe a pain medicine for a white man, who I could clearly see hadn't had any tooth pulled. (did I mention I was black?) so now, exclude all the "laws", their procedures (which clearly just are meant for some) and tell me how they can justify the treatment I received, and possibly the treatment they will give to you!! read more
