OK. Here is the follow up from my prior review... I am back for an early and elective tune up of the old choppers prior to my attending an international conference. I just wanted to get them cleaned and polished again. Sort of like wanting to wash a new car before taking it on the road to be seen. Upon inspection Dr.Thurman decided that she wanted to touch up a little of the work she had recently performed. Looked great to me already but she wanted them to be perfect. She is now taking care of my kids teeth today as well as I was so sold on this place that I am now bringing the whole family. Dr. Thuman takes the time to make sure everything is perfect. Everyone that works here is very professional yet you feel like you are being cared for by family. From the front desk experience till they put you on the rack (chair) for work, these people care for you. The amenities are crazy good as well. Massage chairs that you control while they work on you. Pick a show to watch or listen to on the TV in your room while they work on you. The lobby is a clean and serene place to read or jump on their WiFi to get work done. I am beyond happy with the whole experience. On a side note they actually read my prior review (it was already a glowing review) and responded in a very unexpected and positive manner. They now have Men's Magazines in the waiting area...Doesn't get much better than this unless they served martini's in the waiting area (hint hint) ...I'll figure out a way to give them 6 stars. if they pull that one off :-) read more

I started going to Dental on 45 for the first time approximately three years ago, when they were fairly new. I was in need of a new dentist and didn't know where to begin. I stumbled upon their Groupon offer, which is available right now, of $39 for a checkup w/exam, cleaning, x-rays and a goody bag. Dr. Nataliya Korniychuk is wonderful. So friendly and thorough. She did, indeed, give me a a complete exam. The most complete exam I've ever had. She took the time to check for all the things a great dentist should check for. When my x-rays were ready, she reviewed them closely and pointed out any problem spots. She cleaned my teeth, once again, thoroughly, and discussed the treatment plan she would set up for me if I were her patient. I felt no pressure to become her patient. But I decided to and have never regretted it. She teaches you how to take of your teeth so you won't end up with big problems. And everyone there is genuinely friendly. From your first phone call to schedule an appointment to every phone call from then on. She encourages 6 month visits which has help me immensely. I have no reason to even think of going anywhere else, and that is a very comforting feeling with how hectic our lives can be. And she has made the environment very calming and soothing. Dr. Thurman is the most caring and knowledgeable dentist I have ever met. She goes above and beyond to provide the best services possible to her patients. I originally found Dental on 45 on Groupon. I bought the basic teeth cleaning with x-rays etc. I really liked that they did not treat me as a Groupon customer (some places do knowing you didn't pay full price). Dr. Thurman is great. After my first appointment with them I decided to stick with them and make my future appointments. They have massage chairs which are great and are very accommodating! read more

I found Dental on 45 through Groupon and have returned here for regular visits since. The entire office is very clean and the staff is welcoming and friendly. The dentist is extremely thorough and gentle - you can tell she really cares about what she is doing and takes her time. I do not have dental insurance, but the experience here is worth paying a little more out of pocket. read more

I'd like to thank Dr. Korniychuk and her assistants for helping me in my time of need! One day I had cracked one of my front teeth while wrestling with my son. It was close to quitting time and I had a very important business meeting to attend early the next morning. I Called Marlene and she said to come on in "we'll stay open for you". It was well after 7pm when I arrived, Dr. Korniychuk and her staff were pleased to see me and they immediately took care of business. I was in and out within an hour and ready for work the next day! I love it here. I too had a Groupon and that's how I was introduced to your doctor Natalia. I actually gave her a hug last filing I had because everywhere else I've been I wanted to kill the person because of the pain and they put me through. The office is very clean and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. They have cable to watch while you're waiting and nice new facility. Also when it comes to cleaning, doctor Natallia is the most thorough dentist I've ever been to. And very gentle. It took me years and a lot of disappointment and many dentists before I found her and I will never go anywhere else. read more

I moved into SW Gurnee recently and Dental on 45 is very close to my new home. I selected Dental on 45 and was pleasantly surprised by the Professionalism, Friendliness and Caring of Dr. Chi and her assistant Stacy during my recent visits. I had an urgent need to talk to and meet Dr. Chi today. She called me back and agreed to stay late with her assistant Stacy in order to see me and meet my needs. What a patient first!! My friend was using Dr. Korniychuk. Dr. K. recommended a crown for a tooth that had minor cracks. After crown procedure, friend had and still has pain. When asked about this post procedure, Dr. K. said the drilling probably got close to a nerve and now a root canal will be needed. When further questioned as to why Dr. K. never explained this risk up front that there may be pain that would require a root canal, her response was that some people have this issue and some don't. This risk needed to be clearly explained by Dr. K. BEFORE performing crown placement! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! read more

My son had an appointment here as he needed to find a dentist closer to his home and after x-rays and exam, they told him he needed 17 fillings!! He saw a different dentist just a year ago and no mention of such problems. He subsequently went to another dentist today who told him there were actually only a couple areas that needed to be taken care of in the near future. Dental on 45 insisted that these all needed to be taken care of immediately and wanted to schedule appointments to take care of these in the next month. Clearly they are in desperate need of patients if they have to advertise a discounted rate on Groupon. We are looking for good, honest dental care and are not impressed with distractions like massage chairs and tv. read more
