I completed the link and when I arrived the time was 9:50am and I asked the front desk personnel how much would my cleaning be and informed her I didn't have insurance. She went to ask the office manager Kim, and returned and told me it would be $79. I was called to the back by a hygienist and she told me she had to take x rays and then proceeded to probe my gums and she showed me my x rays and we talked about some tarter build up and she informed me that I would need a deep cleaning. Which I wasn't shocked because I've had deep cleanings in the past. She then called Dr. White in and he looked over my x rays and did a probe of his own and agreed with a deep cleaning. Side bar: The hygienist was very thorough and detailed. No complaints with her at all. My problem arose after she told me I could have a seat in the front and wait on the office manager to book my follow up appointment. I asked her if I wasn't getting a cleaning today and she responded and told me no that I would require more time. I was confused but wanted to speak with the front office to see what my options were being that I scheduled and paid for a cleaning. I go back to the front and wait for about 25minutes and was called to the back. The office manager informed me that I wasn't getting a cleaning today and that I only paid for a comprehensive exam which initially is $360 but they were running a $79 special. I then asked her why wasn't I informed of this prior to paying for my "cleaning" and was told it must was a communication mishap. Then I went on to ask her how much will my deep cleaning be and she told me $1380. I am flabbergasted because I've never paid no more than $600 for a deep cleaning. At this point she became very condescending with her remarks. She didn't acknowledge the fact that I wasn't informed I was paying for a comprehensive exam and not a cleaning. I strongly feel that I should have been told upfront that I wasn't paying for a cleaning but for an exam. I've never scheduled a cleaning and left an office without some sort of cleaning. Even if they didn't have time for a deep cleaning, I honestly felt as though I should have been offered a basic cleaning or at least some floss or a toothbrush I feel scammed honestly. I'm willing to bet that I'm not the only person this has happened to. A better upfront clear communication strategy needs to be implemented with this establishment. I ended up being in the office for a total of 2 hours and left with a photo copy of my X-rays and no itemized receipt.

Both times I waited no more than 10 minutes in the waiting room, which were clearly busy each time with other patients. The facility is clean, staff members are all very friendly. I like when staff talk just in random, "Hey you are my daughter's age.", "Your nails are so cute.", "Can I get you a warm blanket?". As a healthcare professional, this helps patients relax and feel, well, like family. Dr. Pfeffle on both occasions spent at least 25 minutes speaking to me 1:1, educating me on side effects, showing me my X-ray, and answering any of my questions, patiently. I have literally been seeing Dr. Lukes for 40 years. My entire family started seeing him until now…read more Over the years, his office staff has ruined his business. It took 2 years for my dad to get a full set of dentures. He needs a replacement but refuses to go back to him. My mom has spent so much money on my mouth and hers and is so dissatisfied with the staff that she found another dentist. We were still reluctant to leave because of the relationship that we've had with DR. Lukes. I have veneer overlay over my front teeth. A few years ago, one of the assistants started chipping it off my teeth thinking that it was tartar. After speaking with him about it, they expected me to pay over $10,000 to get them done again. I let that situation go because of the relationship Dr. Lukes had with our family. A few months ago, the office manager Sophia called stating that my insurance didn't pay for one of my twins because they thought that I had other dental insurance. I informed her that I only had one insurance at the time and why would they pay for one twin and not the other. Never heard anything else from them about the situation. Today I called to verify appointments for my twins and got the rudest person, Amy, on the phone. I explained that I spoke with the office manager and that we only had 1 insurance at the time. She went on to say that she had the office manager discussed us as if they were talking bad about us and that they reached out to me. She said that they won't see one of my twins until the bill is paid. It's as simple as calling the insurance company and informing them that they are the only insurance company. I've had this problem somewhere else and it was that simple to resolve. In my entire 40 years of dealing with them, I have never had someone so rude. I asked her to have Dr. Lukes call me when he's available and she said no and that he doesn't handle the office and that they have an office manager. I told her that I'm sure he would want to know that his employee is being rude she hung up in my face. I called back and asked to speak to the office manager and she said no and that she was out of the office. I asked her why would she say to speak to the office manager and she's not there. I repeatedly asked her to leave a message for Dr. Lukes to call me when he's available and she refused. I'm going to post this review on every platform that I can find and maybe Dr. Lukes can find the time to read it and respond. Meanwhile, since she hung up in my face a second time, I will transfer my entire family, spouse, mom, dad, my twins, cousins, and myself to another dentist office and they can shove those 2 appointments that I wasn't able to cancel in her ass because she was rude and hung up. And since she was rude, I should contact an attorney for my veneer overlay that they scrapped off my teeth. I've suffered with my mouth looking a mess because I don't want to pay over $10,000 to do them again. Dr. Lukes is a great dentist. He's expensive and has not had the best assistants nor office people since Virginia left. Probably why they don't have as many patients and close on Fridays now.
