I got a laugh from the review below complaining about waiting for an hour from her appointment to see the dentist, she clearly has never been to visit a dental or medical professional in Puerto Rico, typical wait times are on the order of 3-4 hours and appointments are usually just advisory. Dr. Cruz has always been timely for me, except for once when there was an emergency case which he allowed to skip the line.

They yell at the patients, ignore you and it is because the can get away with it.The receptionist is the niece of the dentist and she treated me very bad she would not even speak English to me and I don not know Spanish! When you go in to see the dentist there are signs all over the walls not responsible for any repairs no guarantees on any work done. The signs are in Spanish but the tech told me what they said. They nickel and dime you by taking X-rays that they already took on your first visit but lost, Then they send you a bill and tell you take it up with your insurance.If you want to be verbally abused and gamble with your smile then go see him you will definitely regret it. I can honestly say I never had such a horrible dentist experience in my life I felt like I was in an episode of saw.The dentist thinks he is Donald Trump he won't speak to you he talks to you thru his technicians and there is terrible communication. Por otro lado los plásticos están mal hechos, les tienes que cortar los borden tú mismo porque te laceran la encía, ellos no lo hacen. A demás estuve más de 2 meses esperando por los retenedores, una vez pagas te sometes a su manera atropellada de trabajar, mejor vayan a un ortodoncista que les asista. ¡No recomendado!

The office setting in Plaza Las Americas is very beautiful and displays a very modern medical setting, not to mention the spectacular view from the dental procedure office that oversees the San Juan Convention Center. Dr. Gonzalez Lopez is a gentleman and was very very professional and meticulous in his diagnosis and when performing the root canal, he detailed everything he was doing or going to do. He is sensitive to how you are feeling with regards to pain so that he can ensure that it is minimized and that you remain comfortable. Recently, when I returned to see him after a long hiatus, I was impressed by how gently and kindly he treated me (I had just emerged from a bad period of confusion and depression...). He explained options clearly and fully, gave recommendations / referrals to a skilled maxo-facial surgeon, and spent more time contacting my insurance company than I am spending writing this.
