He is not very personable at all. Initially, he seemed to be professional and caring. But after several appointments he began to exhibit a demeaning attitude and only seems to care about getting paid. At one of my appointments he tried to perform three procedures that where not necessary or part of my plan. I still have problems with some of the work he performed on my mouth. Also, he would become very confrontational if I questioned or where not comfortable with a certain procedure. Avoid this Dental Office at all cost, especially if you are a Veteran. He does not appear to have your best interest at heart and is only concerned about getting paid. Totally, disappointed with Dr. Horner!

When I booked I made it clear that I wanted a cleaning since I was about to lose my dental insurance due to my husband's death last week. After an exam and at least a dozen X-rays later I was given a quote of over $3,000 worth of work they wanted to do. After expressing that I just wanted a cleaning I was told I could come back 2 hours later for a cleaning. In my 52 years I have never been examined by the dentist first then told to come back later for a cleaning. After checking out I was charged $200 for a "deep cleaning." I will not be back to Aspen dental. I feel like I was taken advantage of. I have never had to pay that much for a dental cleaning with insurance before. The only positive thing was that the hygienist was good. Too bad the rest of my visit wasn't.

The day of the procedure i had lost my credit card so i asked them to bill me. What they failed to do was check my coverage. If they had checked they wouldve saw that i had a waiting period bc my plan had just started. i received a bill in the mail for $600 bc my ins would not pay for it. Upon speaking to the girl in billing she had a different response every time. One day she would say its cosmetic and the next would be another reason. Usually when i go they check. Yeah i shouldve checked myself but i thought the price i was quoted was the price. I even said wow thats cheap and she replied with yeah bc its only two teeth. Not once did they check my coverage and eligibility. They even scheduled me for a cleaning afterwards. When i got there they wouldnt see me bc i told them i need to further investigate the bill. I drove from out of town for nothing. The two girls were so disrespectful and rude towards me. I cant go back there. My insurance is aware of the situation and im gonna take it a step further and notify the BBB bc apparently this happens quite often. After examining it he said I might need a root canal. Since he was not certain about it, he referred me to a root canal specialist who could give a second opinion. I appreciated that. How often do doctors ask for 2nd opinions? The front staff are super friendly people. I always look forward to seeing them and talking with them. The waiting room is modern with modern art. The music they play is very pleasing to be the ear. It's soothing and puts me in a relaxed mood. They have their own WiFi to connect to. The restroom is easy to see in case you want to brush your teeth before you go back. My husband and I always look forward to our appointments with Dr. Bullards office!
