Ever the showman, Bosworth decided to call out Broncos star John Elway. This made Broncos fans furious. So furious, about 10,000 fans wore shirts that read "What's a Boz worth? Nothing" on the front and "Ban the Boz" on the back to the game. "But if they had looked inside the shirt at the little tag that said Boz 44, Inc., they would have realized they paid fifteen dollars for a shirt made by THE BOZ's company, plus BOZ gave all the profits to the Children's Hospital. Of the current 32 teams in the NFL, only nine have won three Super Bowls or more. The Denver Broncos are one of them. The Broncos have been one of the more popular NFL teams throughout my lifetime (1980s onward). With multiple championships won with hall-of-fame quarterbacks John Elway and Peyton Manning, it's easy to see why. Elway's late 90s Broncos teams were star-studded, particularly the 1998 powerhouse team with guys like Terrell Davis (RB), Shannon Sharpe (TE), Bill Romanowski (LB), and Mark Schlereth (G). Along with Elway, Davis and Sharpe have been inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. These guys became household names in America. Elway, who is now Broncos president, has served in the organization's front office since 2011. Sharpe and Schlereth have gone on to have careers in TV and broadcasting. I was a fan of the 1998 Atlanta Falcons "Dirty Birds" team that made it to Super Bowl XXXIII against the Broncos. That Falcons team was great, going 14-2 overall in the regular season with a perfect 8-0 record at home. It was disappointing to watch Falcons coach Dan Reeves and players like Chris Chandler (QB), Jamal Anderson (RB), Jessie Tuggle (LB), Ray Buchanan (CB), and Eugene Robinson (S) lose to Elway and the Broncos. I like rooting for underdogs. It was Atlanta's first appearance in the Super Bowl and it would've been the city's first Super Bowl win. Instead, Denver won their second Super Bowl in a row. That was in January 1999. The previous year (1998), Denver beat the Green Bay Packers in a much "sexier" made-for-TV matchup. The Packers were reigning champs, had hall-of-famers Brett Favre (QB) and Reggie White (DE), and were coached by Mike Holmgren, one of the best coaches in NFL history. Denver's coach during this successful period was Mike Shanahan. Along with two Super Bowl victories, he led the Broncos to five other postseason appearances during his 14 seasons (1995-2008) as head coach. His son, Kyle Shanahan, was one win away from coaching the San Francisco 49ers in this year's Super Bowl (2022's Super Bowl LVI). Kyle has been the Niners' head coach since 2017. Peyton Manning rode out on a white horse when he won Super Bowl 50 in February 2016. It marked the end of his legendary 18-year NFL career, the last four of which were spent in Denver. The less-heralded Gary Kubiak was the head coach of the Bronco's third championship-winning team. Kubiak only coached the Broncos for two seasons (2015, 2016) before retiring due to health issues. I remember Super Bowl 50 best for the incredible defensive play of Von Miller (OLB). Against the Carolina Panthers, he racked up 11 sacks and recovered three forced fumbles. He was named Super Bowl MVP. Only two other linebackers this century have been named Super Bowl MVP: (1) the Baltimore Ravens' Ray Lewis in 2001 and (2) the Seattle Seahawks' Malcolm Smith in 2014. 8/27/21 When I was just getting into watching American Football,  I  watched some games when I got the chance. I never knew until yesterday, that the Baltimore Ravens played the Denver Broncos earlier in the season of 2012 and lost to them. Guess I have more fun reading to do:)   My full attention to  watching American Football came when the playoffs started. I saw pictures of Peyton Manning in the newspapers and read about how dangerous the team would be against the Baltimore Ravens.  I liked both teams, but was already favoring the Baltimore Ravens as my team of intrest and choice.  I felt intimidated based on what I read.   Obviously The Denver Broncos were the team excepted to win.  Come the day of the playoffs, I said  to myself, "If you are going to stand behind the Baltimore Ravens, BELIEVE IN THEM." The same can be said to which ever team YOU THE READERS SUPPORTS. I am not a fan of people jumping from team to team, but this is just my opinion.  I believe the term is call bandwagon.  You stick with your team even during the most painful whipass experience you are witnessing for your team.  This is the definition of a true fan...I think so. Anyhow,  The Denver Broncos were playing The Baltimore Ravens in the playoffs of 2012. Peyton  Manning  and The Denver lost in overtime 2. I was happy my team pulled off the win.   I watched as the Superbowl Championships  hosted The Denver Broncos in week one of 2013 season.  Not only did Peyton Manning and The Denver Broncos kick my team's ass, but they did with style and grace.  Did you see the looks on the Baltimore Ravens faces?  They were out of breath, out of time, out of sight and out of mind.  In short, The Denver Broncos  got medieval on The Baltimore Ravens's ass. There would be other times I have endured a painful lost to other teams.  Dare I say 2019.  As in Remember The Titans?  Enough said. In short, not only did The Denver Broncos go onto beating my team, they beat The New England Patriots in the playoffs that year. Another team I did not know about at the time. Let alone The Patriot's reputation for winning Superbows.    I watched how The Denver Broncos  dominated the season and playoffs only to have their asses handed to them right from the start of the Superbowl 48. 12 seconds into the start game The Denver Broncos are down two points because of a bad snap.  It only got worse as the game went on.  Yeah, 12 seconds, THE 12TH MAN, they had something to smile about. I may not be a Broncos fan in colors, but I like the team and found it painful to watch as the The Denver Broncos got manhandled by the Seattle Seahawks.  I saw a colleague of mine who is Denver Broncos fan later on after the game.  The look on his face said it all.    Suprisingly I just learned that Peyton Manning only started playing for the Denver Broncos in 2012.  Before 2012 he was with the Colts.  I can't say I have seen much of Peyton Manning in The Colt's Uniform.   To me, The Denver Broncos's colors are what suits him best. When Peyton Manning announced he was going to retire,  Peyton Manning went out on top in Superbowl 50.   Aside from watching Justin Tucker,  Tyler Huntley,  Lamer Jackson and  Marlon Humphrey to name four, Peyton Williams Manning was my personal  favorite player to watch outside of my team.  I can proudly say, if it wasn't for The Baltimore Ravens  being a NFL Team,  I would have been wearing The Denver Broncos merchandise.   I would have also own A Peyton Manning Jerseys too. Oh, I also enjoy the Peyton Manning commercials on television and internet.  When I saw former Ravens Joe Flacco become the starting quarterback for The Denver Broncos,  I was curious about the team. I quickly lost interest after hearing about how the team lost games with Joe Flacco as quarterback.   I hope someone like Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson and Peyton Manning can fill the spot for The Denver Broncos.   I would like to see this team become a force to be reckoned again. My second favorite NFL team due to #18, one of the greatest QBs to play the game. I'm actually a huge colts fan so I've had the pleasure of watching Peyton Manning play. I was very devastated when he left. I'm very happy with Andrew Luck but for now, Peyton is still my favorite QB and I'm glad he plays for Denver as opposed to teams like SF or WAS. Mile High Stadium is brilliant and the organization is a very intense and passionate and large and ambitious one. By far the most impressive sporting anything anywhere in the Rocky Mountains. By far. So massive kudos for that. They lose 1 star because... well, I just don't like them. And when I watched them beat the Bills at Mile High that was pretty depressing. Great crowd though. I was watching the Broncos live at home just a year or two ago. I've visited many times. Now that I've seen every NFL team play live & been to every NFL stadium (current and former), time to review them on Yelp! I love stadiums! I've been to every cool stadium in the UK & North America, due to my obsession with travel & sport. I've toured America as a musician for 7 years. In that time, I've seen sports games at (or visited when empty, or both) almost every major stadium in US and Canada. I have pictures of most which I'll upload at some point. Not until you got Manning. Which is funny because I never liked Manning either, not personality wise. Yelled at his fellow players too much, too methodical, too self-absorbed, not passionate enough. I always loved Brady. But even I am sensible enough to know Manning is probably the best QB ever to play the game. And that you do NOT trade him. And when the Colts did, and their behaviour afterwards, I just could not dislike the Colts any more than I do. They're anchoring my list as the 32nd, least fave NFL team of all. And I had to, therefore, by default, cheer for Peyton, because I want him to rub his second ring in their faces, and for Andrew Luck to never win one there. He's really getting it done for you, but no ring yet. He deserves another one. And now that he's with you I realize you guys have a wonderful stadium, great, loud support, and a good history with Elway and all. I liked Shannon Sharpe too. So you guys are alright with me. I am not a huge football fan but I do like the Broncos!! They are a great team full of valuable players. We decided to get tickets when our friends came to visit because they are huge fans. I didn't like the stadiums lack of escalators. My feet were sore from all the walking. Next time I will go prepared and wear tennis shoes. They have a good selection of food and alcohol. I thought it might be the average stadium food but they really do have pretty good food. I liked the fact that I could get any mixed drink I wanted. There was also a descent amount of bathrooms available which makes me happy! We had a bad experience during the game because there was a guy behind us that was drunk and being very loud and obnoxious. We texted the number to let authorities know about him and they came and kicked him out. So that was great to know that they care about your overall experience, and will take action. (1/2/2011) This was an awesome game to take my wife to for her first NFL experience. She loved how large the stadium was. The staff was just as friendly as ever, and the crowd was full of die hard fans as always. The only thing that wasn't remotely pleasurable was the pizza we had. I remember once upon a time Invesco sold Freshetta pizza, and they were hella good. We went on a trek to find the wonderful pizza only to find "Chicago Home Run Inn" pizza. Apparently it's sold at King Soopers as well, but I wouldn't buy this God aweful pizza again with somebody else's money for a hobo. THIS WAS AGREEABLY THE ABSOLUTE WORSE TASTING AND SORRY EXCUSE FOR A PIZZA THAT MY WIFE OR MYSELF HAVE EVER TASTED!!!! And that's saying a lot! I love pizza. I've had pizza at so many places I can't even count them all, but I would've just assumed to throw this up, but I was afraid to taste it again. Other than that, it was a tough loss, and a close game to end the season. We'll try again next year guys. read more

Went to my first game at Mile High Stadium. Besides the walk (had a boot on due to an ankle/foot injury) it was great. Got in, got our food and head to section 521 (again, the boot made hiking up the stairs a bit challenging). Great game, and we lost by one point to the Bears. When the game was over, the NWS has issues a severe thunderstorm warning for that area. And stated to take shelter. Which we did. Their people, Argus, kicked everyone of us out during this severe weather event (lightning strikes was closed by, and was not deemed safe for anyone to be out). Instead of letting the people ride out the storm, they put everyone's safety in jeopardy. And told us they are not responsible if we get injured or killed. I was like what the hell! That right there made my experience turned south. I would be afraid if there was a tornado warning and they did that to their fans. There should be some kind of protection that venues like this should have into place, especially when it comes to severe weather, which could lead to a person(s) getting harmed or death from. read more

It all began when some marketing genius from Nike waltzed into Mike Shanahans office and sold them on the concept of tweaking their team colors and dramatically changing their uniforms. I couldn't find an actual listing for the Broncos team store, so I guess this will go under here. We had a Living Social deal for the team store and my husband is a huge fan, so we stopped in. There were a couple items we had questions about, and two different employees were less than helpful. I received a very short reply from one girl when I asked if they had any larger child sized jerseys - she said "that's all we have" and walked off. My husband got the same response from an older woman working when he asked her about a t-shirt. I should have known this would happen - as we walked in the store, a very frustrated woman and child were leaving. The woman said "I'm sorry it would be too much effort for you to actually help me find something". You know, I can see if it's during a game and the store is crawling with people, but with only half a dozen people in the store and an equal number of people working, it's pretty sad that customer service was the last thing on your mind. The day I moved to Colorado was the day of the 1997-98 AFC Championship game, Denver vs. Pittsburgh. Bad day, that one. That was Elway's year. We returned the favor, though, in 2005-06, when Jake the Snake met his match in the Pittsburgh D and it was the Broncos fans' turn to cry. So I would have given them just one star because I don't like them, but the fact is that--all kidding and rivalry ribbing aside--the Broncos are a class organization with a proud history. This is more about the team store than the actual team itself. Last week I saw a couple of items on the NFL.com website that I wanted for Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe. So I figured why order from them, when I can go over to Invesc, uh I mean Sports Authority FIeld and buy it there. So I went in there today with the intent on purchasing any Shannon Sharpe Hall of Fame items that I could find. And to my surprise, there was nothing. Really?! OK, there was a single boring generic t-shirt that they only had in medium and large. But come on! The best tight end in team history in Sharpe and you dont have anything for sale?! If I had asked for a Tim Tebow hall of fame t-shirt or cap, then I'm sure that someone would have gone to the back and brought me out one. And he hasnt even played a full season as a starter, but I can bet you that those t-shirts are somewhere in the stadium! I asked a clerk and he said they didnt have anything else other than the t-shirt I saw. How in the hell do the Broncos not carry anything for a hall of fame tight end, especially when the Broncos have had a hard enough time getting anyone into the Hall? Wow, I'm completely shocked at the results of Super Bowl 48. I really thought that it would have been one of the most evenly matched Super Bowls ever. League MVP & #1 offense versus the #1 defense, and a very young quarterback. Like the Steelers in Super Bowl 45, you just never got anything started, it seemed like the time just flew by. I must be a fan as my three boys managed to talk me into attending the big parade to celebrate the Bronco's Super bowl win! The energy and enthusiasm was infectious! Yes, we were just a speck in the sea of one million blue and orange fans but what an experience. The Bronco pride was on full display. As I watched the parade of firetrucks loaded with Bronco's of current and even past go by I was smitten. I love to watch them play but now I admit I just love having them as part of our great State. They are a uniting force. I watched very diverse fans of all ages, demographics and even languages come together and cheer - I realized the Broncos are indeed as good as it gets! read more

What a football team! I have been a Bronco fan for 40 years, before Elway, way back in the M&M era, (Moses and Morton). We rode high through the Elway years, 5 times he took us to the Super Bowl, I remember the seasons well. Now we have Peyton, the player ever to play the game. The beauty of the last two seasons will be remembered for a very long time, let's enjoy this Peyton era while we can. I cannot believe the low scores on the Broncos! What do you want? Yes we lost the super bowl, but the journey has been spectacular. I can't wait for the season to begin, GO BRONCOS! read more
