I am planning to do some drawing and possibly more painting over the Summer. They offer kids classes too. We used water colors as the base today and she started by teaching several techniques, which was incredibly helpful once we started our abstract pieces. We also used pastels on top, which I thought added a really cool texture to my work. The teacher made each part seem so simple, everyone in the class was able to make something really beautiful. Being that the event was on a Saturday the parking lot was relatively empty so I didn't have to find street parking, but I did notice many of my classmates found street parking. No one complained do it must have been easy. The class was small and intimate with 8 of us present. The instructor Karin introduced us to the Art Students League of Denver, the offerings, and some history. We went around the room and discussed everyone's level of experience and interests. She really listened and worked to tailor our experience based on our responses. Each seat was set up with the materials we needed and we started off with introductory stitches. After an hour we focused on our Art piece and near the end of class picked up remaining supplies to finish our work at home. 10 mins before leaving we all did stretching exercises and cleaned up the room. I'd recommend attending if others are interested in learning something new or expanding their skill set.

Relevant represents only two artists: fine art photographer David Yarrow and bronze sculptor Gib Singleton. They certainly have no need for additional representation. Both artists have worldwide reputations and are producing work of exceptional quality. Singleton describes his style as "Emotional Realism." His work includes both western themes plus biblical and devotional pieces. The sculptures range from abstract, to impressionistic, to more realistic and show a great depth of feeling. David Yarrow's photographs are one-of-a-kind. He began his career as a lauded sports photographer, but has turned his direction to fine art work including fashion, landscape, wildlife, and indigenous cultures. The gallery is showing huge, archival pigment prints of amazing quality. A number of them are staged, surrealistic western scenes featuring supermodels Cindy Crawford and Cara Delevingne. These are memorable as are the wildlife photographs which seem to capture almost impossible perspectives. Denver is very short of photography galleries these days. The chance to see so much of Yarrow's work in person should not be missed.

I wish I could have been there in person to take my classes and present my capstone project. There was one professor that I didn't love but overall the classes were great and I got so much out of the readings, assignments, and meetings. To give you a short summary of my Capstone presentation assignment, I was supposed to design an animal-assisted therapy program and present it in front of our peers, school advisor, and capstone professor. I loved presenting in front of my class and thoroughly enjoyed it. I've always loved working with animals and working with children and this is my first step toward living that dream!

We confirmed and paid for our class online, arrived for our 6:30pm class, we were gifted with pre-roles and gathered in the smoke room and met 12+ cool people, we painted, smoked more, were gifted more pre-roles & edibles while paintings dried, those who did not smoke sat with the others or remained at their work station. This entire experience was exactly what we wanted and they delivered. The music was perfection, Foster the People channel, one banger after the other after the other, after the other. We highly recommend this experience and we will be back when we return to Denver. The instructor was friendly, knowledgeable, engaging, multitalented and they offer an array of services in and aside from the venue/experience.
