Such nice staff. Was taken in for my endoscopy right away and I was out of there within an hour.

Front desk was extremely rude and made us feel incompetent. I would not recommend this facility.

The doctor even flagged my mothers chart. My mother was scared and very upset. As her daughter responsible for her I was scared to death. What I wasn't understanding was my mother was still fairly independent and fairly sharp cognitive. When the doctor flagged my mother's chart that's when I told my mother she was done with Kaiser. The doctor didn't want to listen to how my mother said she was feeling which I found to be disrespectful. My mother just went to her new doctor ( my doctor) not a Kaiser doctor for her annual checkup, had a cognitive evaluation and was given a clean bill of health. The doctor said cognitively she was normal for 86 years old and that one of her medications can slow the cognitive circuits a little and she was in good shape. The Kaiser doctor never said anything about this medication being able to slow the cognitive circuits a little. We both feel such a sense of relief. I feel I saved her level of independence and quality of life she has.

I've been a Kaiser Permanente member since birth and generally have had positive experiences, but…read moremy recent visit left me feeling disappointed and frustrated. For the past few days, I've been dealing with typical viral cold symptoms that escalated to include a persistent cough, chest pain, shortness of breath, throat irritation, nasal congestion, bloody discharge, and a severe headache that turned into a migraine. Concerned about these symptoms, I tested twice for COVID-19--both negative. After my chest pain worsened, my friends and family urged me to seek urgent care. At urgent care, I explained my symptoms and received a strep, flu, and another COVID test--again, all negative. Despite feeling like there might be an underlying issue causing my symptoms to worsen, I was given a breathing treatment, prescribed an inhaler, and sent on my way, feeling like I had wasted both time and money. After following the care plan to the letter with no improvement, I made an appointment to see my Primary Care Physician (PCP). Instead, I was met by a nurse, Ms. Roberta Owens, at the East Denver Clinic on August 26th. I arrived slightly late, feeling absolutely miserable, and received a call while checking in, warning that my appointment would be canceled if I didn't check in within 10 minutes of the scheduled time. Already struggling to speak due to my symptoms, this added stress was not helpful. Ms. Owens quickly took my vitals and started asking pre-questions. From the start, our exchange felt defensive and combative. I was coughing so severely that it interrupted my speech, yet she continued to push the conversation. There were no tissues in the exam room when I asked for one, adding to my discomfort. I expressed my main concerns--particularly the intense sinus pressure and headaches--and suggested that I might need a referral to an ENT specialist. Instead, she ordered a chest X-ray, which unsurprisingly came back clear. Back in the exam room, Ms. Owens reiterated that what I had was likely just a cold, dismissing my concerns. While I understand that sometimes immediate medical remedies aren't possible, compassion and kindness can go a long way. Unfortunately, Ms. Owens seemed dismissive and didn't listen to understand my concerns. Her demeanor left me feeling emotionally drained on top of already feeling physically unwell. This experience was a stark contrast to the quality of care I've come to expect from Kaiser. I hope that future interactions will be more attentive and empathetic.

This place definitely gets a gold star for customer service!!!…read more I was scheduled for what I thought was a bone density exam but the technician was walking me to the lab for bloodwork. I asked I thought this was a bone density exam. After back and forth about the appointment the technician looked up my order and sure enough I was booked in the wrong section. She then proceeded to tell me that they normally don't take walk ins but I can ask. So the technician walked me to the correct office and sure enough I received the same canned statement. I then said I took the day off for this is there a way i can get in? The clerk went to the back and asked a technician and sure enough she said I can get fit in. All in all the procedure took about10 minutes. Way less time than to drive to the appointment and the hassle of figuring it out but it's done and all came out well. And I can't forget to mention about the great valet service I received as well. Top notch!!!

My spouse recently had major surgery at UCHealth Cherry Creek, which was also her very first…read moresurgery and exposure to general anesthesia. While some aspects of her care were excellent, our overall experience was deeply distressing due to the conduct of certain post‑operative nursing staff. First, I want to acknowledge the providers who delivered outstanding care. Dr. Bouchard was excellent: clear, thorough, and compassionate in both pre‑operative and post‑operative communication. The attending resident was likewise excellent, demonstrating strong clinical skill and a respectful bedside manner. These physicians gave us confidence in the procedure and took our concerns seriously. Unfortunately, the quality of care in the post‑operative area did not reflect the same standard. After surgery, my spouse was slow to wake from anesthesia and in excruciating pain. While she was still groggy and doing her best to communicate her pain, one of the nurses was noticeably impatient, dismissive, and appeared focused on the fact that it was near closing time rather than on my spouse's condition. When adjusting the bed, this nurse repeatedly moved the head of the bed up and down very quickly, causing my spouse to scream in pain. There was no apparent attempt to pause, slow down, or modify her approach in response to my spouse's obvious distress. A second nurse was also rude and unhelpful until one of the anesthesiologist helped my wife. At a time when my spouse was barely emerging from anesthesia and struggling with severe pain, this nurse asked, "I don't know what else to do for you, what else is going to help you?" The burden was effectively placed on a post‑operative patient, rather than the nurse using her clinical expertise to assess, problem‑solve, and advocate for appropriate pain management and supportive measures. It was especially alarming that this nurse then suggested that my spouse might need to be transported by ambulance and admitted to a hospital, framed in a way that felt more like a threat or a way to move her out of the recovery area than a thoughtful clinical recommendation. From a patient‑centered care and safety perspective, this experience was unacceptable. My spouse was vulnerable - just out of surgery, in severe pain, and slow to wake from anesthesia, yet she was made to feel like an inconvenience. The tone, rushing, lack of empathy, and apparent prioritization of closing time over patient comfort and safety were completely inconsistent with the standard of compassionate care we expected from UCHealth. If we had known this was how the post‑operative nursing care would be handled, we would have requested a different facility. Patients undergoing major surgery, especially for the first time, deserve nurses who are clinically competent, patient, and empathetic, and who respond to pain and delayed emergence from anesthesia with professionalism and care - not frustration, dismissiveness, or implied pressure to leave because it is near closing time. I would strongly encourage UCHealth to review staffing, training, and culture in the post‑operative area at this location, to ensure that other patients and families do not have to endure the same experience.

WRETCHED EXPERIENCE!! I had the displeasure of seeing Evelyn (Danielle) Abram, LCSW, for what was…read moresupposed to be an evaluation for adult ASD/Asperger's. She did diagnose me as having Sensory Processing Disorder and PTSD, but it all went downhill from there. In our first appt, she was nice at first, then at several points she became aggressive in her manner and attitude, almost hostile. I felt threatened. At one point, in response to my comments on an issue, she fired back at me: "Do you know what love is?" and when I said yes, she snapped, "Then you don't have Asperger's." WTF?? And that wasn't even the worst of it. Her attitude was very abrasive, condescending, and not at all caring. My 2nd appt was by phone, for which she was 10 mins late. I only have 30 mins for lunch, so I was late getting back. During the call, she ignored my real issue and steered the conversation to my childhood and relationship with my parents -- completely off-topic. She then said she'd put in a referral to the psychiatrist for a "med eval." I assumed she meant a medical evaluation, since I'd already made it abundantly plain that I will NOT take drugs of any sort. It's against my personal and spiritual beliefs. The next day, I got a call from Kaiser to schedule a "MEDICATION evaluation" with the psychiatrist! First, there are NO drugs to treat Autism/Asperger's, nor even Sensory Processing Disorder; second, I'd made it perfectly clear I would not take drugs. However, my aim in all this was to get a referral to an out-of-network clinic specializing in adult ASD, since Kaiser has no protocols for diagnosing adults with ASD, so I went ahead and scheduled the appointment. Third appt with Danielle Abram was at her office on 11/18, and this one left me literally traumatized. My system is on overload from the SPD, and I am seeking to reduce my work hours so I can at least try to cope by reducing the number of hours exposed to the stress. I've already tried everything I can -- earplugs, noise-canceling headphones, even bomb-testing earmuffs (which I'm wearing as I write this) -- but the sensory overload and burnout are at critical mass. During this 3rd appt, Danielle told me I could get fired for making such a request of my employer, and basically incinerated all my hopes of getting relief. I broke down sobbing, uncontrollably, and SHE KEPT TALKING!! I asked her to please stop, I couldn't take any more, and she stopped for about 15 seconds, then started talking again. WHEN A PATIENT IS UTTERLY OVERWHELMED WITH SENSORY OVERLOAD, YOU DON'T KEEP ADDING TO IT! My husband was at the appt with me and had to ask her again to stop talking -- she just kept going on, completely oblivious to the fact that her patient was in total meltdown. Finally she said she'd send paperwork to my employer's HR dept for FMLA, to request a reduction to 30 hrs/wk for ONE MONTH. As if that solves anything!! This is an ONGOING problem, a cascade effect that has resulted in severe burnout and stress, as well as anxiety, because of the SPD. She said she'd draw up the paperwork that evening. I can't even go into all the eff-ups that happened after that, but suffice it to say, I didn't receive my paperwork until 12/8 - TEN DAYS after she said she'd write it up. When I opened it, I found she'd COMPLETELY NOT UNDERSTOOD my issues: she had me down as suffering "anxiety and depression" (nothing about SPD), and recommended that I work 30 hrs/week for one month, at a rate of 10 HRS FOR 1 DAY PER WEEK. She can't even do basic math!! Wtf...saying a stressed-out person should work a single 10-hr day???? She also indicated on the paperwork that my condition is expected to "last 1 year" (this is LIFELONG! -- I've had it for over 50 yrs now, and it doesn't ever go away), that it's "not expected to have flareups" (100% WRONG) and that any flareups would NOT require missing work. Um, lady, have you ever actually studied SPD??? Do you even have the first fricking clue?? So the FMLA paperwork I requested nearly two months ago is totally worthless. I can't show that to my employer -- it's not a true picture of my condition or how to treat it, AT ALL. Oh, and the appt with the psychiatrist I had to schedule almost a month in advance, then eventually canceled because when I FINALLY got an answer from them, they said it was a medication evaluation only, which I had repeatedly said I would not take drugs. I am so traumatized over this whole nightmare, I need therapy just for this alone. I wasted copays twice, took off work a half day each time to drive all the way across town, just to be bullied and abused by this horrible woman who has NO BUSINESS working with people who are stressed and emotionally fragile. Thank goodness my husband now has insurance through his new job, so I can go elsewhere.
