We just moved into our new house and the plan was to install a 3 rail fence with wire mesh for the dogs. We reached out to Denver Fence and they came by right of way and had an estimate to us soon after. Greg Garcia managed the installation for us which was complicated by the need for permits. Greg took care of managing the approval process and he kept us informed on the status of things. The fence is amazing. We have had so many compliments from people passing by and of course, it keeps the puppies from running off. There were some tricky spots and we installed 3 gates. Greg was really kind and responsive, but they just showed up to our house without warning and started the work on our fence. I got home to let our dog out and he almost ran away since our yard was just open... They did not perform the job according to our conversation and our fence looks awful - there are mismatched pieces intermittently in the fence. We called the next day and asked if they would come back and perform the job as we had discussed and they refused. We were patient and understood that sometimes things don't always turn out as planned, but this work was unacceptable; they still refused to come back. We now have to pay all over again to have our fence re-done entirely. read more

Over a year ago we replaced the entire perimeter of our backyard with a new fence. A few months after the fence was completed we noticed that almost every nail had a black streak (1-2 feet) down the fence. Turned out that bad nails were used and the nails were corroding. When I showed this to the company, initially they said they would take care of the problem and replace the fence, using the right kind of nails. However; the company's owner changed her mind and would not complete the replacement after replacing a few sections, saying it was our problem not theirs. It was a long process getting the problem only partially resolved, and I had to personally pay over $800 to complete getting only the sections that faced my property replaced since the company refused to honor their warranty. I would strongly recommend not using Denver Fence Construction and Repair. We are mostly satisfied with the quality of the work, and the two-star rating should not reflect the crew that actually performed our repairs. It is worth mentioning that not all of the work under our estimate was fulfilled. For example, one of our fence posts was replaced, but the crew failed to put concrete around it. I had to go back and do that myself. Our biggest grievance with this company is working with Greg. He is unprofessional, condescending--particularly to women--and acts as a bully by escalating conversation when questions or concerns arise. Greg said he would arrive with his crew at 9:30am to walk through the repair work to be done. The crew arrived promptly, even early at 8:45am, but Greg was a no show. When it was clear that the work being done did not match up with our estimate we attempted to contact Greg. His tone was condescending and dismissive to our concerns. He finally arrived two hours later to check on progress, and said he would come back in half hour to confirm the work because I was unavailable. We had to call Greg to get him back over because our concerns about the work and how it didn't line up with the estimate. We did not see Greg again until the project was completed. On the phone Greg was very agitated, he kept saying how "unreasonable and unbelievable we were. We definitely overpaid for the repairs that were made and resigned ourselves to that knowing trade services are hard to come by right now. But Greg's behavior is unacceptable and he is a poor representative of this company. I asked him to apologize to my wife for his tone and previous interactions with her throughout the day and he said "I ain't doing that shit." If you're OK being talked down to in a condescending manner, having work done that doesn't align with the estimate, possibly not having all of the work completely fulfilled, and dealing with an aggressive and agitated bully then this is your company. read more

This is definitely the company you should choose to do your fence....whether new or replacement. Gregg was our contact for the bidding and he was accurate, on point and more knowledgable than any other fence companies. The 2-3 man crew did a remarkable job that makes other new fences in our area look cheap. They had to build us a large swing gate to accomodate our motorhome and boat, plus another side gate. This was engineered, welded and total construction right in our yard. Not pre-made as we thought would happen. It fits perfect!! The entire project of several hundred feet took these couple of guys only 4 days to tear out and rebuild. NO junk left behind! read more

I needed a ten foot section of chain link fence connected to close my fence in for my dogs. At Lowe's I could only buy 50 feet of fence and I couldn't find somebody to do such a small section for me... until I found Denver Fence! I called them yesterday... TODAY my fence was "buttoned up," as the guy said. They were fast. The fence is sturdy. The price was very reasonable. AND they cleaned up my back porch for me?? I could not have asked for a better experience working with Denver Fence Construction, Greg (the owner), and his crew. I have several trees that I did not want the root systems damaged from the deep holes necessary for the posts, and I also wanted the fence built around two trees, so the job had its challenges. Greg didn't hesitate at all and he came up with some really creative ideas on how to make it all work. Manny, his head crewman also came up with a good idea and did a really nice job building the fence. His crew also moved some heavy rocks for me as well. I called them twice in the past 2 weeks for an estimate and to schedule repairs and they said they'd get back to me. They asked me to email pictures of the fence I need repaired which I did immediately the first time I called them. These people wont even return a simple phone call for an estimate. We needed chain link fence in our backyard that is high enough to contain our dog. Very simple and straight forward project. Greg called us to schedule the estimate in a timely fashion and emailed our quote shortly after. His team did a neat and timely job of installing the fence. Our only complaints are that Greg told us they could install the fence the next day and that it would be a one day project. Neither of these proved to be true. After speaking to the project manager, he said they would have to wait until the temperature reached 40 degrees so that the concrete for the posts would set. It took a total of 2 days to complete the job... Not a huge deal, but not what we were promised. I also had to call him to check the status of the job on a couple of occasions as he did not call us back. Those things aside, the fence seems to be sturdy and the job was done well. Greg was quick and prompt to come to our house and give us a bid for a wrought iron fence. We got bids from two other well known fence companies, and Denver Fence beat their bids. They started their install 2 days after the HOA approved the plans. The men installing the fence were fast, did an outstanding job and were on time each day. Greg saw the project through from start to finish. The wrought iron fence and the wrought iron gate are gorgeous. Denver Fence not only met, but exceeded our expectations. While a longtime user of yelp! I've never actually felt compelled to go online and write a review for a business until Denver Fence Construction completed our new fence. Ray came out promptly and gave us an estimate that we had within a couple of days and was more competitively priced than any of the other companies we looked at. Not that pice was the deciding factor, but Ray was very thorough in his bid and offered some great suggestions as well. Ray and his team came out as scheduled and completed in 2 days as promised, with no hidden costs or surprises. The entire team was incredibly pleasant and hardworking and we couldn't be more pleased with the job they did in transforming our backyard. My wife, who hopefully won't see this comment, and is ever the skeptic, was absolutely blown away and thrilled beyond words with the finished product.
