Alfred & his guys did a fantastic job on our fence!!! The old fence between mine & our neighbors house was destroyed by the tornado that came through Highlands Ranch in June. I asked Yelp for some bids and they were all about the same, we had people come over to give their estimates & our neighbor & my wife liked Al the best! He gave us his estimation of when the work would start & we were about 2 weeks ahead of schedule, so that was great! Al charged by the foot, regardless of material choices, and I was able to have galvanized steel posts and a gate with a quality locking mechanism. I opted for overlapping pickets for full privacy which was a reasonable upcharge, and everything turned out looking fantastic and feeling very sturdy. He was able to tie into some of my existing fencing, which helped strengthen the old fence. We all agreed and set up the appointment for a free backyard fence estimate for Wednesday, November 8th. About 1 1/2 hours prior to AI's Fencing showing up he messaged me and told me that his project was running late and that he was in Elizabeth, Colorado. Even though my husband and I didn't like how things happened, we understood. AI's Fencing apologized and asked if we were available on another day/time? We said okay, how about Friday, November 10th between 9am and noon? He said that that worked out for him and that he would text us about an hour before his arrival. Sounded good! Well, not soooooo good!!! AGAIN, another no show and this time no call, no text, no email as to if he was on his way or if he had to cancel???? How exhausting and what a waste of time for us! The reason we thought we'd try contractors on Yelp was because we got to tired of this type of treatment from business owners, contractors and the like off of Craigslist, Angie's List and Thumbtack???? To Yelp, do these people really want to work and make money? Do they want to grow their business? Or is this some type of scam where they get you to give out your home address, phone number, get information regarding when and when you're home when you're trying to schedule them to come to your home, in the meantime, they never intend to come by for that estimate... Tanner, the guy who came to do the estimate/sales, was wonderful and very helpful, but after he left we heard NOTHING. Two other companies came out 4 and 5 days later and got quotes back to me same day. I finally sent messages to Al, since I really liked Tanner, and got a snippy reply back that they were really busy and would get the quote back "tomorrow" which they did--sent as a bill not as a quote and they still haven't addressed that--but said they were just really so busy and maybe the other companies just weren't very busy and that's why they responded promptly and did the quote the way they promised. Really put off by this--quote was very comparable with the others but attitude made me choose one of the others instead.
