    Old fence / gate

Al did a great job replacing my old gate. The gate pickets were rotted at the bottom and two posts needed to be replaced. Would recommend him to anyone who has fencing needs.

Alfred & his guys did a fantastic job on our fence!!! The old fence between mine & our neighbors house was destroyed by the tornado that came through Highlands Ranch in June. I asked Yelp for some bids and they were all about the same, we had people come over to give their estimates & our neighbor & my wife liked Al the best! He gave us his estimation of when the work would start & we were about 2 weeks ahead of schedule, so that was great! The communication between us was almost instantaneous as Al's wife handled most of it. Al contacted me this past Thursday (8/17) to drop off the materials & say that they would be here on Friday (8/18) & that it would take 2 days. He was right on point! They'll be finished later today (8/19) & we couldn't be happier! We both chose to have metal post installed & Al wrapped wood around them so you can't even tell, but with the post also being cemented down, no tornado or high winds will ever tip the fence over! We'd (myself & neighbors) both highly recommend Al's Fencing for any fencing need you may have! Price, quality of work & timeliness to get here & complete, were all excellent!!!

We had our back fence replaced two weeks ago. 55' in length separating our backyard from our neighbor. The quote was competitive and the work was done in a quick and timely manner. The quality of the work is great. I highly recommend Al and his crew.

Al and his team replaced 3 fence posts for us after recent wind storms impacted our fence. He was able to preserve a good portion of the wood - greatly reducing the cost to me. Al was communicative - gave an immediate quote - and performed the work promptly. Al was great to do business with and I would use him again in a heart beat.

Al and his crew were very prompt and professional, explaining everything that they were doing and how long it would take. Amazing value for a new quality fence and a very friendly and quick crew!

    Al's fencing communication.

I received a time window of 5-6pm on Thursday. At 6:10 I decided to text to make sure he will still coming. Daisy texted me back and said he was stuck in another city and it was raining. I completely understand that. I was kind of irritated because there was no communication until I texted. We rescheduled for Sunday at the same time. I asked that he texts me when he is in his way. Daisy said he would. Sunday -No show and no text. BUYER BEWARE!

We had…read morecompleted a beautiful high end kitchen remodel and the crowning jewel was to be the metal and glass cabinet doors that our architect had drawn in. However, the company she had used in the past wouldn't call me back. I found MetalArc using Google. And I'm beyond happy I did. First, their commitment to their craft is top notch. They will work diligently to get the project right. The level of refinement that we were looking for with these doors was not a hurdle they shied away from but rather they accepted the challenge and worked side by side with me to get it exactly right. The finished product is stunning, we couldn't be happier. Second, David's level of communication is a rarity. He is such a well spoken, clear and eloquent communicator. It is a lost art in today's day and age. I was impressed time and time again with his clarity and thoughtfulness in every conversation and email. This was truly a "project" that required communication and collaboration and he impressed me time and time again. Third, he is a good man whose primary goal was not only meeting but exceeding expectations. On top of being an expert in his craft, he has mastered being a good person. I can't say enough good things about him (and his brother, Joseph!). Thank you we will continue to sing your praises.

Most railing companies said that they couldn't do it. MetalArc was one of the few willing to accept the challenge and the unknowns that came with it. They worked hard to understand my vision and priorities. I am very particular in what I want and don't want. They respected that and were not put off by it. They are very, very kind people. The project gave them challenges beyond their expectations, but they were patient and stuck with it each time. I am thrilled with the final result. On my end, there were a few challenges as well. I had to be extremely patient with the schedule. The project was bid at a flat rate, however, they increased it when they had a better understanding of the project. This was after I was already committed and had made a large deposit. I was frustrated by that because I thought the project was clear from the beginning since I had a picture of what I wanted to replicate. The payment installments were confusing and, as things took longer, they added new installments. I had to be firm that the final installment would be paid when the project was done. They had a few employees turnover which directly impacted my project. All but one did great work; but the one caused some major hiccups as did the transitions in general. We finished the project as a team. The results are beautiful. We are on good terms. We are planning to work together again, thankfully on a much more straightforward project!

Colorado Fence and Deck - This fence used to butt up against the concrete retaining wall. They moved it, moving the property line, and left it like this

    Colorado Fence and Deck

    (24 reviews)

Should have been a 5 star experience; it was a 2.5 star experience…read more On Day 2 of an estimated four day job, the owner of Colorado Fence and Deck showed up unnanounced to do a "walk through" while the work was ongoing. Shortly after, the crew left before all of the agreed upon work was completed. Crew lead returned later the same day to complete the work after I discussed my concerns with the owner. Within a couple of days, a deck floor board (actually two boards pieced together) near the deck entrances began to make noise when stepped on. The owner confirmed that he was aware that two boards were used when I expressed my concern. We set up another day for someone to come out and address the issue. The crew lead arrived on the agreed upon date and completed the replacement, as well as adjusted the fence gate repair that was already not working correctly. The request for the fence gate to be addressed was not communicated to the crew lead even though I included it in my appointment confirmation text. To date, the adjusted gate is currently working as expected. Unfortunately, the deck board that was replaced is also moving and is making noise, suggesting that the board is not secured as the other floor boards of the deck (which are not making noise). This problem is obvious by sound and feel, even when the dog walks on the deck board. As noted by another reviewer, some of the boards used on the deck probably should have been set aside for a more consistent quality deck floor. To date, the owner of Colorado Fence and Deck has not followed up to confirm that all of the repair work was completed satisfactorily. To be clear, the work has not been completed satisfactorily. 6.19.2026 Update Owner of CF&D contacted me after the Yelp review and agreed to send his crew to address the deck concern noted above. He also offered to improve communication, which was appreciated. The crew lead confirmed they made adjustments and tested the boards for the fix of the movement/noise. After three weeks of limited use, the repair continues to work, so I have updated the rating to three stars. Unfortunately, the gate issue has returned. I will be looking to see what other solutions I can implement to allow full time use of the much troubled gate.

The owner likes to…read moreget reviews taken down or untag his company from other social media platforms and then block you when you complain instead of owning up and fixing his mistakes. If I could give zero stars I would. They cut my internet line leaving myself and my husband to not be able to work, as we work from home. When asked what they are going to do about it Ryan told us it's not his problem. We asked for some type of reimbursement for our neighbor as she is the one that hired them and he said absolutely not. We were interested in getting a quote for a new deck but not now. Not after this treatment. Ryan was extremely rude and unprofessional in this matter. Not the type of company I would personally ever do business with. Edit: Ryan, based on multiple Google reviews you have the same MO of telling people it's not your fault and not your problem if you or your crew messes up in these circumstances. The initial contact with your crew was nice and we understood accidents happen. Profanity was not used until your tone and reaction to the situation was it's not on you it's on US to get it fixed. Your crew also used profanity towards us. I also want to point the fact out that WE DID NOT HIRE YOU. WE DID NOT SIGN ANYTHING STATING YOU ARE NOT LIABLE FOR DAMAGES. You can state that you contacted the internet service but you and your crew told us we had to call and figure it out, which we did not you. Regarding reimbursement, you said it was outside your responsibility. It was YOUR equipment, YOUR crew that cut the line, YOUR responsibility. I did not hire you, but yet I'm liable for YOUR mistake, don't think so. You have extremely poor customer service, and you and your crew lack professionalism. You should own up to your company's mistake, take responsibility, and do what is right. Also, we had to pick up after your crew left boardS with screws and nails. AGAIN, we did not hire you. I'm glad your customer was happy but did you even look at the pictures because this is what you call a professional job? SECOND EDIT: This incident happened back on April 9, 2026. It is now May 29, 2026, and we STILL have exposed lines. I was contacted via text by what I assume is office personnel about having the lines buried back on April 22, 2026, stating that they put in a ticket to have them buried. I text back on May 21, 2026, asking if someone was coming out to get this resolved. I received no reply. I have personally contacted 811 three times, and they keep referring me back to the owner, Ryan, as he is the one who exposed them, to make sure they get reburied. According to Ryan, today, May 29, 2026, it is not his responsibility and there is nothing else they will do. You and your whole staff should be extremely ashamed of how you treat people and the poor quality work that you provide. Seeing how the conversation went today, May 29, 2026, with you on the phone, where you admitted that you use a power auger and you knew the lines were there, you just do not care what you ruin or how crappy your work comes out, just shows you have no business owning a company. Ryan, you continuously put in your comments that if there are any problems, reach out to you to be resolved. Well, that's a little hard to do when you block my number. You also blocked my wife's number. Your crew came back out to address concerns that my neighbor had with your work, as apparently it was not up to her standards, as you wrote up above that it was. There was one entire panel of fencing that was not properly cemented the first time. Your crew told my 86-year-old neighbor that she had to clean up their mess by hosing or sweeping it up. You also changed the property line by at least a foot. I am still unsure how my neighbor's pool lines will be buried back on her side, as they now lie in my yard, and the fence is up. Seems like if people complain about your work, you have an excuse like oh, well, sometimes lines get mis-marked and get cut. Well, maybe if you weren't using a power auger (which, according to 811, is not allowed within 18 inches of marked utility lines, and you definitely were within 18 inches), and actually hand-dug to find the lines, you wouldn't cut so many.

One of our favorite projects was transforming our mudroom by removing a wall and building a custom breakfast nook. This was a complex project, but Steve's expertise and creativity shone through. He even suggested a design element in the booth walls that perfectly complemented the Craftsman lines of our home - it's those little details that make a huge difference. What we think truly sets Steve apart is his incredible craftsmanship, creativity, and his consultative approach. From the start, the privacy fence was not built to the agreed-upon specifications. The HOA drawings which their salesman explicitly confirmed in writing (attached via email and said quoting exactly) called for horizontal beams to be mounted in-line. Instead, they face-nailed the beams, which altered the entire aesthetic and structural look of the fence. They claimed the HOA requires this which is not true. Additionally, the installation was plagued by issues: - Workmanship: The fence height was inconsistent, ranging from 71" to 79" on a promised 6' privacy build and 48" around on a promised 45" picket build. In several areas, there was a 3-4" gap between the bottom of the privacy fence and the ground. They faced the privacy pickets the wrong direction and blamed my wife for it. They mostly corrected the height after it was called out, but there are still gaps and inconsistencies. - Property Damage: Despite assurances that our landscaping would not be in the way, they broke our paver walkway and destroyed the edging between our garden and rock bed. We also found dried cement mix stuck/spilled across our landscape rocks. They mostly fixed this but it shouldn't have happened to begin with and the walkway is permanently damaged. - Gate & Staining: The metal gate installation was miscommunicated and poorly executed. The "custom" gate that we paid extra for is just an oddly angled gate that doesn't fit the opening or slope properly (and the previous standard gate was already mis-mounted). When they finally came to stain the fence, they did so just hours before a major rainstorm, despite the forecast, which was negligent. The most disappointing part was dealing with the VP of Operations, Jerry, and the owner, Shawn. After failing to deliver the product we contracted for, Jerry attempted to deflect blame onto my wife. When I pushed back on the invoice to address the fact that they had not corrected the beam alignment or secured an alternative HOA cap approval as discussed, management immediately resorted to threats of placing a lien on our home - all while holding our 50% deposit for staining work that hadn't even been performed yet. They over-promise, under-deliver, and resort to intimidation tactics rather than standing behind their work. Save yourself the headache and choose a contractor who actually values integrity.
