For example, one of the trees was a 9 foot dead tree stump and they only cut 4 foot off, leaving a 5 foot stump. Still charged me $1500 more at the end for everything. Never came back to finish the job despite the request. Also, Ryan and the subcontractors don't really listen to instructions. I asked them to NOT mow my lawn multiple times. They kept mowing it despite having crocuses, snowdrops, and mini irises. TWICE. Ryan also told me it's stupid and insensible to put flowers in lawn. That's his opinion but to have them mow is again despite me telling them I want the remaining foliage a chance to live is too much for me to handle. Landscaping is expensive and expectations don't always align with reality. But this company's main issue is that it's too big and or subcontractors don't care. If you want brain dead lawn cutting, no problems here though.

Despite my contract from last year citing an expectation for a 2% annual increase, I got a ~25% rate hike. The woman I worked with was not kind and not willing to help me understand where this came from. I ended up finding the owners email and was able to reach out to them to try to learn more and find a more reasonable solution, but even going over their new math, it still didn't make sense, and still had me over 20% higher than last year for the same work. They cited that I was charged incorrect last season (despite having their invoices with exact man-hour times spent and their own provided labor rate). Additionally, the new contract (which I did not sign) created new clauses in the fineprint to do price hikes in subsequent years without needing a reason. So disappointed, but I'm not comfortable going into contract with a company that doesn't honor their own contracts, hoping you won't notice.

I would never use Foraker again. Their communication is terrible and they do subpar work. Here's my…read moreexperience: I had pooling of water on the side of my house during/after it rains. I call out Foraker for solutions and they quoted me for a trenched drain (which would tie in 2 downspouts and a sump pump outlet) and grading of soil in that area. I was led to believe either one would solve my issue. I opted for the trenched drain (which was the more expensive option) because I hoped the final product would look better. At this point, the quote was only given verbally and my agreement was only verbal. I was expecting them to send me a contract to sign outlining the work to be done but that never happened. Next thing I know, I get a text saying they will be out tomorrow to do the job. They completed the project and left without saying a word. I inspect the work after they left and was disappointed with it. They used black corrugated pipe to connect to my white downspout and left it duct taped together. On top of that, it rained the next day and the problem still persisted. So now I contact them expressing my concerns about the quality of work and the persisting issue. I get a very rude response from the owner (Trevor) that he is not changing the pipe color, the duct tape just needs to be removed and the persisting problem is because I didn't do the grading. He stated (in text) that they will come out and put a drain box at the low point of the pooling and tie it in with the drain. I never responded because I was looking into other options. Shortly after with no notice or even a knock at the door, Foraker is back installing the drain box that was never even approved by me. Again after completion, the workers left without a word. A week later it rains, surprise surprise the pooling is still an issue because the soil around the box is lower than the box itself. I get a call from Foraker about payment and I explain the still persisting problem and the remaining issue of the pipe color. This is when the owner THREATENED to come to my house and rip out all the piping because "it's his since you haven't paid for it yet". That's the type of response you can expect from them if you criticize their work. I was the one forced to diffuse the situation and compromise with subpar work. Now I paid $2500 for a drain and drain box that doesn't resolve the issue and that I didn't even ask for. Also stuck with mismatching pipes that I was told to "just spray paint" by the company. All because Foraker doesn't want to fix things the right way and doesn't care about their customers. The owner kept saying how he has 20+ years of experience and I'm surprised they lasted this long with this type of attitude towards customers.

After paying over $5,000 to have my fence installed by a professional licensed fence company, why would I have a tree company repair it! Anything could happen in the future and I would be liable! The owner of the property was rude, condescending and never once apologized! He's been reported to the township, contacted the county clerks office and will be filing a complaint with the Attorney General's Office. I'm gonna get my fence repaired, But any business owner that conducts themselves this way, should definitely be reported. This company lacks accountability, integrity and professionalism. Unreal.
