Plants and trees will obviously need to grow in.
    Jon J.

EcoLandscapes installed steeping stones, flower beds, and a gravel fire pit area in my yard. They did an amazing job - very happy with the outcome. Dan came to my home for the estimate and provided a photo shopped rendering of the design, which was very helpful for my wife and I to plan the layout. Mike and the installation crew were very efficient and helpful. I was out of town while they were doing the work and Mike texted me at the end of each day with an update. Highly recommend this crew for hard and soft landscape work.

I don't have TEN stars available or I would truly award them. Mike, Eddie and Tom installed a raised bed for me where an old holly tree was removed. They got rid of the old roots, stones and made an incredibly beautiful replacement area for planting. Mike and the team were courteous, tidy, and did the job like it was for their own home. They took time to do it well and I am sure this will be a beautiful permanent accent now which only adds to our garden. I will DEFINITELY use Ecolandscapes again.

Just had the front yard transformed by Dan and crew. From securing the design, to understanding my long term goals for the space, Dan and team were attentive, professional, friendly and wonderful to work with. I'm looking forward to my next project with them!

Before. (it was actually worse than this, but this is the pic I had)

We hired EcoLandscapes Design to completely re-do our side yard. Due to an abundance of shade and a dog, the "yard" was reduced to dirt and mud. We contacted Dan for ideas on how to best transform this space into a comfortable and usable outdoor living area. Dan got back to us within a day and was at our home that week to look at the space. He provided us with a vision and recommendations while encouraging us to provide him with our ideas and vision. Dan's team that worked on our yard was fantastic. Seth, Sean, Tom, and the other members were there on time every day. They made sure to connect with us on what they would be working on and stay in touch to ensure we were in the loop. Everyone at EcoLandscapes was accessible and professional. Our yard and patio ended up being exactly what we wanted and needed. The pricing was in line and fair for the work that was completed. We will use them for all our future projects and highly recommend them.

We had EcoLandscapes recently come out to help us tackle some steep slopes with poor soil on our property. This is the kind of business you want to work with. Daniel was knowledgeable (I wanted someone who really knew native), pleasant, professional and responsive. His team, led by Mike, was great - careful and professional. My neighbors even commented on how great they were working (when I wasn't home during the day) which says a lot. We had a huge rocky, woodland meadow, a blooming pollinator bed and rain garden installed. Looks great now, can't wait to see they grow next spring!

    Garden

I have used EcoLandscapes three times now. Dan comes up with great ideas to replace old overgrown gardens and to repurpose existing plants. Our house was covered in huge bushes and his team quickly removed them and transformed the garden with new plants. Dan sent follow up instructions on how to care for the plants and how to try and keep the deer away. I wish I had more projects for them.

The appointment on 9/10 comes and goes and no one shows up. After an hour of waiting-- I've made plans to work from home and be available for when this is scheduled-- I call their office to see what the delay is. I'm told that due to staffing changes, this appointment has fallen through the cracks, but they'll arrange to send someone out. No one comes and I receive no call. When I call again at the close of business, I'm told that no one with the authority to reschedule is available and they will call me the next day with a new appointment time.  This dance continues over the course of the following week, over which period I call no less than five times. Several times I am promised a return call from Chris Arader himself, which never happens. I even call at a time I am assured he will be in the office, and when I do, he is not.  What the heck? This sort of behavior, while not uncommon, is tedious and unprofessional. It's particularly frustrating in this situation given the limited season (optimally) for tree pruning. I contacted Arader based on a recommendation as I was very disappointed.

The person who came to give me an estimate (Bill), the people in the office, the foreman of the crew (John) and the crew were excellent. I was told by John how to care for the tree going forward. The tree is in a back yard which made removal of debris difficult. It was a total pleasure and my property was left cleaner than they found it and nothing was broken. They would definitely be my first choice in the future.

When John Fridy came to meet in person and take a look at my front beds, I explained that I envisioned a pollinator destination that would grow into a lush garden in the years to come. John understood exactly what I was looking for, made an individualized plan, and returned - in person - with pictures of the plants he envisioned throughout my front walk. These included plants that would provide unique interest in the design process, were deer resistant, and would ensure something was in bloom throughout the spring and summer seasons. A few weeks later, he and his team of polite, careful, and professional individuals removed the existing shrubs and placed new shrubs and perennials, using healthy soils and mulch to ensure our new plants would thrive. The butterflies and birds are now all over my front yard! John is going to return in late fall to plant bulbs and is also coming back in the spring to make sure everything is growing beautifully and incorporate annuals. I could not be happier that I reached out to John and the Naturescapes team when I did. My only regret is that I didn't do it sooner. Call John and the Naturescapes team! He sent us draft proposals and modified them based on our input. He and his team were very thorough, asking us to send photos of the space at different times of day so they could choose the appropriate plants for that space. To make full use of the space we chose to move the stairs so Brendan connected us with a terrific carpenter (Zach Hedgepeth) who did a great job and coordinated with Brendan to make sure the timing worked out. Once that was done he had his stone mason pull up the ugly brick floor and replace it with beautiful bluestone hardscape. Then his team came in to install the planters and the plants. The whole time they communicated well, keeping us updated on their work and staying in touch with the subs so they knew what was happening. Even now that the patio is done, Brendan has been responsive to my questions in email and offered to replace some plants that didn't survive the winter. We absolutely love sitting out in our beautiful patio surrounded by lush greenery and seeing how the different plants flower at different times. Brendan and his team were a delight to work with and I highly recommend them.

Here's why you'll regret it‼ Whereas there crews do an incredible job and are very pleasant... The owner of Garden Girl (Jackie) is one of THE most unpleasant and unappreciative folks to "work" with that I've EVER encountered! I gave them more than $5,000 worth of business this past year and the appreciation I got today was a "Dear John" email where she has cancelled doing any further work for me! The true reason for this is that Jackie has taken on too many customers, doesn't have enough crews to handle the work load and, with this springs wet weather, she can't keep up with satisfying her customers, agreed upon, monthly maintenance schedules. And, she refuses to do what it takes to do so, ie, working weekends to catch up (as MANY other landscaping companies are doing), because "she has a life other than @ Garden Girl"! Yesterday, after pushing my mid-May monthly maintenance back several times, she then told me that it was now going to be a mid-June job "take it or leave it"... SO, when I told her that wasn't what we had agreed to for a "committed to" monthly maintenance schedule, she fired off the "Dear John" email to me this morning! So, if you can wait for months, through multiple broken appointments and don't mind dealing with an incredibly unappreciative and disorganized business owner, then perhaps you'll eventually have one of her fantastic crews show up! But, based on where it looks like her business is headed.... I'm not so sure of even that‼ I'll expect Jackie will reply here shortly and she'll push the blame back on me but you, as a potential customer, can decide who's telling the true story...Remembering that all I did to set her off was to question her inability to schedule... Not a great business decision, at her end, for a $5,000+/year client‼
