I saw the great reviews here for Chinook Bottle Depot and thought I'd check them out. The first thing I noticed is how quiet the machines were-no yelling to talk to the attendant. She gave me the exact amount for my bottles! And no line-ups! The second time I went, a man working there came out, brought a cart to my car, and helped me fill it up w/ my bottles. I've NEVER had this happen at any other depot. They have earned my patronage, and I will be driving the extra km to come here! Very impressed :)

Service is quick with some vending machines, shopping carts, ok parking and self pay out which is nice. Overall avoid on weekends during mornings but overall expect to wait 10-15 minutes.

However as the other customers are typically nice, someone else in line will help you get the machine to scan and dispense your money. And it was so easy!…read more This place is in Currie Barracks and, if you turn right off of Crowchild and enter in the main gates, it's really easy to find. They have a little drive-through with a number of storage containers. You drive up, pop the trunk (literally. That's not a dance move), and they grab everything and you drive away. Seriously. I can't state enough how easy this was. I almost wanted to go home, get ALL of my electronics (including the ones in top working order) and bring them to be recycled. Now, you'll want to exit the way you came, and not drive aimlessly and hopelessly lost through the depths of Currie Barracks. Just a tip.

They have social distancing measures well taken care of with sanitizers everywhere, a sink, stickers and shields. Staff is really nice and they work fast. Parking lot is huge and they have a food donation box outside. Only con is the one way road to get there. Overall, highly recommend.
