I stopped in as a walk-in and had a great experience. They have only one barber handling walk-ins like me, while 2 other barbers were there but just worked by appointment. I had Gino, and he was excellent. This was the best haircut I have had in a while. Fast, clean, precise, and exactly what I was looking for. You can tell Gino knows what he is doing and has been doing this for a while. The shop has a very classic barbershop feel. Good decor, comfortable setup, and a relaxed atmosphere. The music was perfect for me as well. When I was in, they had the Black Crowes with Jimmy Page playing Zeppelin, and it added to the overall vibe. Between the quality of the cut, the easy walk-in process, and the overall experience, this was a five-star visit. If I spend more time in the area, I will definitely become a regular. read more

This is as good as it gets. I've been going to Depot square and seeing Dan for almost 8 years now and can't help but recommend it to anyone who asks me who my barber is. I recently moved to Chelmsford and drive 30+ minutes out of my way to go see these guys. I'd say Dan is my guy there, but the consistency of the cut from every barber there is what really stands out. It's cash only so bring a $20 and a $5 and that takes care of your cut and tip for the guys. Take care of your barber, these guys are the real deal. read more

Nice and clean shop with easy parking, average pricing and plenty of seating. Guys who work there are friendly. Only been here once but won't be back. Hair cut was average and there was no straight razor. I repeat - no straight razor included with the cut. That's what makes a barber shop just that- a barber shop and not a salon. Very surprised they don't do that for every cut. The Depot is a great place with an awesome atmosphere. The quality of cuts is top notch, and the staff will become friends, not just Barber's, after your first visit. Gino, Dan and all the guys always have great conversation and make you feel like a regular really quick. They should rename this place to Man Town. The guys in there all give solid cuts. The prices are spot on at $16 a cut and it's cash only. Bring a 20 and enjoy what a Barber shop should be for dudes under 40. They style and fade hair proper and give each cut with love. The conversation is usually like hanging out with a bunch of friends at a poker game unless there are kids in the place. The music is pretty cool and you can tell that the guys are really into their music. All the decor in the place makes me think that I am in a movie set and I am making a cameo. It's a pain in the ass to find a good quality cut at Super Cuts prices, but these guys nailed it. The guys who work there know what they're doing, and they are good guys who are easy to talk to. They make you feel like a regular even if it's your first time there. Everyone here is a pro. I take both my boys here (6&4 yo). They always give them a stylish little boys cut. I was so sick of taking them to cost cutters or super cuts where they just buzz their heads and don't offer any sort of style, making it look like I cut my own kids hair. I went here for the first time and I asked them for a medium-low regulation haircut, the same haircut I've been getting for 5+ years. ...Well, they ended up giving me a very very high fade. Seroiusly ?? That was NOT what I asked for. I was extremely irritated and regret ever penny that I paid. Never again will I go here. You can't even follow a simple request? I also ened up with a line of hair still on the bottom of my neck and loose hair in my hair!! How inexcusable. Very unprofessional Also, there was no hot towel, powder, neck shave, or cologne - which many good places would do for free. Overall, very good place. Everyone does a good job, I have gotten hair cuts from 3-4 different people and all have done a superb job. Sometimes it can get busy, but that's due to good service, and high volume, not lack of speed. This place is legit. Sick of Floyd's overpriced location and constant turnover (rarely see the same people in there) I hit it up based solely on Yelp reviews and was not disappointed. I'm trying to grow my hair out long for only the second time in my life and couldn't stand the hair around my ears or at the back of my neck but wanted to leave the top long. Dan took that description and ran with it - couldn't be happier with the results - he was meticulous. I have got my haircut here consistently for the last 6+ years. Dan is amazing he is meticulous and has never given me a fresh cut that is less than perfect!! I drive out of my way since I have moved a few towns out of the way from Wakefield because I never not been more than satisfied after I get "my ears lowered!!" Just took my 6 yr old son and after I paid, my son pointed to a still bleeding large cut on the back of his ear. When I pointed it out to the barber, he just shrugged it off and told me not to touch it. He was completely unapologetic and quick to get paid. Thankfully, I eventually got the bleeding to stop so a stitch wasn't needed. Good haircut, but the barber handled the situation with zero empathy. I took my 9 year old son here last weekend. My sons haircut is an inch on the back and an inch longer on the top. We waited and when a spot opened, he had a seat. The barber asked, "would you like a boys haircut." Red flags went up but gave him a second chance. He then asked the other barber if he'd like to 'tackle' this one. The other barber shook his head but then agreed. So we switch seats(not sure why I bothered at that point). I was hoping this guy would be less ignorant but he wasn't. He said in front of my child, "this is a pixie girls haircut." To insult a child like that is terrible. Instead of admitting they didn't know how to cut without an electric clipper, they choose to insult a child. I would not give them business.
