Three or four local restaurants served good food at a fair price. One is directly across the street. Three are a few blocks away, so an easy walk. All very clean. The local brewery Hirsch creates a n award winning wheat beer that is extremely good. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. English was OK, much better than my german. I had no issues communicating A free breakfast that was excellent! I loved the rye bread, lifes simple pleasures. It includes eggs prepared to order, multiple breads and croissants, a fruit bar, a yogurt bar, about a dozen types of meat ( i had bacon, salami and smoked trout), cereals hot and cold, coffee and tea. Rooms were good size for europe, everything worked well. Free TV and Internet access. Pool and sauna was awesome. (I visited in February) I will come back !

The only thing that might stop someone from staying, is the 3 flights of stairs. Definitely not a place for someone with mobility issues. When we ascended the 3 set of stairs, Rainer said, "we're going to heaven", which was pretty funny. I would not hesitate to stay again. Park out on the street in front of the bakery for 30 minutes for free, with a ticket from the parking machine, while you unload your luggage and check-in.

Check-in was swift and friendly. My room is exactly as pictured, large king bed. Plenty of room in the bed and plenty of space in the room. A small area for seating, a desk and cabinet for clothes. There is a travel guide in the room and a hotel welcome in German and English. Let's just say, anything you need is listed - AND MORE. The bathroom is ... A bathroom. With blow dryer! Breakfast is moderately priced but well worth it. The array of selection is broad. 2 words - honey Comb. Try it. Love it. Dream about it. Breakfast dining is indoor and outdoor, with adoringly white tulips on each table. The wait staff knows your face and knows you. I asked for coffee once and the next morning, it magically appeared at my table. She remembered me and my room. Dinner was... heavenly. The specials are indeed special. I ate the vegetarian selection and the vegetables were plentiful and crisp, the süs Devine. My colleague had a steak, perfectly prepared, with a sauce laced onion into a ring, topped with delicate baby corn, and a hefty portion of pommes. I considered dessert before dinner... then I ate.
