Check-in was swift and friendly. My room is exactly as pictured, large king bed. Plenty of room in the bed and plenty of space in the room. A small area for seating, a desk and cabinet for clothes. There is a travel guide in the room and a hotel welcome in German and English. Let's just say, anything you need is listed - AND MORE. The bathroom is ... A bathroom. With blow dryer! Breakfast is moderately priced but well worth it. The array of selection is broad. 2 words - honey Comb. Try it. Love it. Dream about it. Breakfast dining is indoor and outdoor, with adoringly white tulips on each table. The wait staff knows your face and knows you. I asked for coffee once and the next morning, it magically appeared at my table. She remembered me and my room. Dinner was... heavenly. The specials are indeed special. I ate the vegetarian selection and the vegetables were plentiful and crisp, the süs Devine. My colleague had a steak, perfectly prepared, with a sauce laced onion into a ring, topped with delicate baby corn, and a hefty portion of pommes. I considered dessert before dinner... then I ate. I havent even left yet and am already planning a return. Bring your tennis racquet and prepare to relax!

Then you awake the next morning to a beautiful mist blanketing the surrounding mountains as well as the town. And then later that morning the mist breaks and the sunlight resumes its 'normal' routine. Yeah, that's this place. The breakfast selection is more than ample with yogurt (muesli, nuts, fruit, and other condiments) eggs made to order, juices, breads, spreads, cheeses, assortment of ham and salami, and tea and coffee. The property itself is rustic if not a bit dated, but what it lacks in modern appeal it sufficiently makes up for in breakfast, updated bathrooms and unbeatable ambience. And lastly, the owner is a charming lady who is more than happy to talk or just give advice on the surrounding area. If you're looking for an amazing view and an unbeatable charm, then this is your place. Just make sure you book a few nights and take advantage of this area's natural beauty.

The sauce was riddled with pesto and gloriously creamy without being heavy. We were not able to get accommodations and we're given a list of local hotels from across the Stuttgart area. We put out emails to our top 3, but only Hotel Bohler responded. This hotel is run by Manuel and his wife Melinda. They have an awesome staff that treated us like family from Day 1! When we arrived they had dairy-and egg-free bread for two of our boys. One of the staff members went out of her way to bake a allergy-friendly breakfast cake so they could enjoy breakfast like other guests. As for the rooms themselves, fantastic! We occupied 2 rooms, but there was a door that essentially made it a suite. The bathrooms were stellar and included full-size tubs. We had a range of channels, to include BBC and some kids channels. Wi-fi was perfect! As for the location, there is a bakery across the street and you're within a 5 minute walk to an Italian restaurant, a doner kebab place, and the Brauhaus. There are 2 parks also within a 15 minute walk depending on the length of your child's legs. We hope to stay again on our way out of Stuttgart!

No matter if breakfast is included in your rate or not, I would recommend taking advantage of the breakfast. If you are like me and generally only order soup on a cold day just to warm you through you will miss out on a wonderful delight at this restaurant. I came here with my family one day on the way back from a weekend trip. We stopped here and my son and husband both ordered soup. I had a little taste and haven't forgotten how wonderful it was. We are back again and I ordered the lobster bisque which was again quite amazing the portion sizes here are just right for a average meal but are not as big as most german restaurants. If you are really hungary make sure you order more than one course. There is a nice fish menu as well as a meat menu and a wild game selection. I did only see one vegetarian choice though. I love this place. It sits in the valley overlooked by a fairytale castle. Oh and the menu is in English.

There is also a hotel right on top of this restaurant. There are a couple of rooms, that were really clean and tidy. If you are looking for a nice hotel, with a dinner and breakfast, this is the place you want to go. The German motif was really beautiful in the dining area. You can even hear the kitchen cooking your food in the corner. I think it was cool to hear the sizzling pans and popping food. Now as with Covid regulations, there is a hand sanitizer right by the door, and the tables are seperated nicely. Of course, you don't have to wear your mask while eating, but when leaving and entering. Therefore, this resteraunt (and hotel) is a really nice place to stay and eat.
