We contacted a few photo booth companies and most were either way too expensive for a few hours, were already booked, or just didn't respond in a timely manner. My wife and I were paying this ourselves and were trying to keep the energy and fun high but the expenses low. Luckily, we called Snappy Shots, spoke with Wesley Smith and he really worked with us. He was always quick to respond to any request or questions, sent us a sample picture of "our" event photo booth pic for us to customize and he was easy to contact up to the last minute. At the event, he came with help that stayed during the entire time. There was always a line for the booth and they provided enough help, props and pictures to make it a hit. If you want a company that is easy to work with and does a great job at a very reasonable price, I recommend calling them today and get booked before they fill up.

As one most often does, I found myself in need of 20 mint julep cups the Sunday before Derby…read more I had come across Events LLC at a wedding show earlier in the year, and I remembered one of their staff members telling me how expansive their warehouse is and how, if you in search of something, they likely have it. So I put this to the test. I called Events earlier the week before, and the lady who answered the phone told me they likely have mint julep cups and she would check. I called back the following day, and much to my delight, they did have real mint julep cups that guests could drink out of. (Some people use mint julep cups for flowers, I now know.) I was sent an invoice. There was a slight change on the price, as the larger cups at $4 each to rent are the cups you drink out of, not the smaller $2 cups I originally chatted with them about. But still, this wasn't a big problem as I was still happy that they even had them at all. I arranged to pick them up the Friday before my event. They were waiting for me, packed up in a box. And then I brought them back the day after my event. The process of turning them in only took a few minutes. I did get to look through their showroom a bit when I visited. I have passed their building so many times on Story Avenue -- it was great to finally get to go in. Especially if you're having a wedding, they have all manner of table settings, from the over-the-top ornate to something a bit more subdued and stately. My wedding is coming up in a couple of months, and I chatted with them a bit about items I'm looking for for centerpieces. They knew what I was describing and said they are looking to buy some soon to add to their collection. The showroom also included large statement pieces and sculptures. I bet their warehouse is a treasure trove of wonders. I'm looking forward to going back and using Events again soon!

It was an outdoor wedding December 2013 (yes... I know, but it was 60F the year before!) and, of course, there was a freak ice/snow storm the night before. The crew spent the whole day slipping and injuring themselves to set up the most beautiful wedding I've ever seen. And I didn't receive any bills for their medical expenses! ;) Leading up to it, I took up hours and hours and hours of their time picking out exactly what we thought would look good (and they have a really creative team with awesome ideas I would have never thought of). I'm uploading photos because words can't even begin to describe the wonderland they created for us. I would (and I do) recommend Events to anyone planning any kind of party. They have this ginormous warehouse of the craziest (and most gorgeous) stuff for any party. I've also thrown a Halloween and a Circus-themed party with their help, both of which were a huge success. Another reviewer on here (not even from Louisville, incidentally) may have had some hiccups in communication, but I've had nothing but expert help with Events. Can she just follow me around and take pics of me everyday? The girl works magic. I originally sought out Crystal because she is a founding member and photography editor for the Fair Event Vendors Alliance, which connects the LGBTQ community with Louisville and Southern Indiana area wedding and event professionals and champions their equality and fair treatment. While I'm not LGBTQ, this is still very important to me. I'm so happy this is important to Crystal too. A friend of mine also recommended her and said that she is sensitive to making sure photos are all natural and flattering. Sounds like I would be in good hands. We met in person to talk about the wedding shortly after I reached out, and I felt comfortable with her almost immediately. She was also easily reachable and quick to respond when I had questions. And then the big day came. Crystal first met us at the salon and was with us for 10 hours that day. I felt like she always had control of the situation -- especially when posing us all for photos -- but she also did not take over the entire scene, as I have seen other photographers do at weddings. She was working hard the entire time and always professional. And like my friend said, she took photos that were very flattering. I told her my arms are not my fave feature, and she helped me pose and stand so they were minimized. Other faves about working with Crystal: * Her prices were very reasonable, which I can confirm after talking to friends and seeing what they spent on pics. * She delivered the photos about two months after the wedding, which seems to be standard. And we got ALL of the pics. Plus we get to download them and use them as we see fit (giving her credit on social media, of course). * And just to reiterate, we had her for 10 hours at three different locations. And her pics! Again, they turned out so well. Both the posed and action shots were beautiful. Looking through them, I feel like she got all the important parts of the wedding -- and then some. I missed seeing some of my friends' moves on the dance floor. Now they are committed to history, thanks to Crystal. The venue also looked stunning in her photos. After stressing so much about the decorations, I admit I didn't get to take it in as much as I would have liked on the actual day. Now I get to see and truly appreciate how beautiful it was. I very much hope I get another chance to work with Crystal. Her pics will line our walls and social media feeds for the rest of my and my husband's lives.

This was one of the preferred vendors listed on our venues vendor list which we HAD to choose from…read more Bar services were limited. Communication was not timely from the get go, but when we heard back from Amy she was pleasant and typically answered questions. We were originally doing a cash bar. We booked everything for our October wedding in February. In April I emailed her asking about pricing on covering beer and wine. She replied and was getting back to me with information. I never heard back from her. As our wedding day approached I began following up with vendors including Professional Bar Service (PBS). This was in September. This is Ruth I finally received the requested information from April. I also indicated multiple times that I wanted bar service to begin 30 minutes before our ceremony. I was told a couple days before the wedding this would be fine. The venue approved it as well. Per my emails and contract with PBS they would begin at 6 and would stop serving 30 minutes before the end of event which was 11:30. I was told my contract time was through 11 pm because of this. Our day came and things were good until they weren't. PBS continued to tell our DJ they were closing up at 10:30 and were saying it was the venues rule basically giving us the runaround during our reception instead of us enjoying it. I personally spoke to them and told them I have a contract and emails from both the venue and PBS stating otherwise. I was told by one of the bartenders that they would call their boss. Never heard another word. At 10:28 my DJ said they weren't budging so let's do last call. We with 20 people in tow walk out to get one last drink. Most just beer and wine and the staff were rude and very unprofessional and started pulling bottles away saying they would not serve us anything but water. Come Monday following up with PBS, Amy admitted fault and apologized for being conveniently unavailable to handle the situation on Friday evening when her staff tried reaching her. We paid $3500 for the bar service which ended a half hour early and her staff embarrassed us in front of our guest. Most of our guest left right after the last call incident with her staff. In addition to loosing the last half hour of our service we paid the venue additional monies to extend our event an extra 30 mins. That was $165 which she offered to refund. We tried to reach back out and Amy responded once she wouldn't respond after that. We were NEVER refunded any money. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!
