This place is a joke. I went to see if i had skin cancer and to ask question about some areas on my neck and arm.. Alex came in and spent 5mins with me, she said it was nothing and started for the door but i kept on asking question and she seemed to get mad i was asking questions...She doesn't need to work with people is she gets mad i ask questions.. I have used this group for the past 12 years. Dr. Saunders is a great dermatologist and I have no complaints with the care that I have received. I recently called to schedule my annual checkup. I was informed that the earliest appointment would be in seven months. This makes my "annual" appointment 18 months. I had a significant melanoma and need annual checkups. I may have to find another dermatology group. read more

On March 6, 2025 I went to the Johnson City location with my male friend to be seen by Dr. O'Neal. My friend told the nurse and the doctor about some itching he is experencing on his back that I am apply a Benadryl cream but it isn't taking care of the issue. The doctor did not look at it nor did he suggest what it could be or what to do for it. My friend had been treated in Florida for Actinic Keratosis and he wanted Dr. O'Neal to continue with some type of treatment. We had hoped Dr. O'Neal would have performed a thorough body scan but he did not. Dr. O'Neal took a biopsy and froze two areas only after my friend requested him to have a look and to please do something. We had to tell this doctor what to do. Amazing! My friend has fungus on a toe nail so the doctor did prescribe something for it. I told the nurse to send the prescription to Walgreens in Jonesborough but she sent it to Publix in Johnson City. It took me a few days to get that all straightened out. The nurse gave us instructions for sunscreen but nothing for the care of the areas that were biopsy and frozen. We will not be going back. The doctor's degree and the nurse's degree should be burned. We received a letter from Dr. O'Neal by regular mail and by certified mail telling us that it has come to his attention that my friend hasn't been seen to treat the actinic keratosis. We have an appointment with another dermatologist that we are hoping will do a better job. read more

I agree with others regarding the poor customer service, being less than honest with patients and rude people, doctors and all. I showed up for my appointment early, as directed. I was the only person in the waiting room and appeared to be the only patient there at all. I still had to wait close to 20 minutes before being taken back to a room. I had specifically requested to see a doctor and was told I would be seeing a doctor. Instead, I saw someone who was not a doctor. When I brought this up, I was not given a reason for the switch nor was I given an apology. I was also not given a reason or apology for the wait but I did notice employees standing around chatting, as if they didn't have much to do. It's also odd that the only positive reviews are from people who don't appear to live in the area. read more

ATTENTION: THE MANAGEMENT! Karen of billing dept is very rude and mean, she hang up on me while i was still talking, she did not even know how to talk politely,nicely and professionally.She cancelled my appointment w/o informing me. I have waited months and was really looking forward to my schedule. I got surprised when I was told that i had a balance that i had to settle otherwise she/they would not accomodate me. I found out that i did not get the statement of that balance that she talked about. I told her how could i pay that since i don't have a statement but i was willing to pay it upon my check in and asked her that she had to re schedule me on the same date but she did not want to do it and then she hang up on me right away. I called up again and requested to talk to a manager to complain. The manager was rude too, she wanted me to pay the bal on the spot so she could re schedule me and i told her i don't have anything send me the statement or i will pay it upon check in and she did not want to either. She hang up the phone on me as well, very very rude, she interrupted me from the start while i was talking. I felt like i was talking to non-schooled person, very disappointing and very POOR service, rude, mean and no compassion manager and staff, That clinic needs educated employees , with good manners and know how to talk professionally with their patients. They are just after on money not on the long term service with patients. Seems they did not even know the word CONSIDERATION especially i am an existing patient. RIDICULOUS, They wanted me to pay the balance first w/o providing the statement before they re schedule me while i compromised that i would pay it upon check in....PATIENTS PUT FOOD IN YOUR TABLE, WITHOUT PATIENTS YOUR BUSINESS IS NOTHING! Great doctors who really care. They are thorough without recommending costly procedures for no reason.

Daughter needed help with controlling acne. They were helpful. We did leave with over $200 plus in prescriptions which was yowsa. Trying to get it all under control. Fingers crossed. read more

Nurse McKinley and Dr. Ruth were both fantastic. I was seen in a timely manner, and they were extraordinarily helpful. McKinley helped me shop around for the cheapest medications, as I was paying out of pocket and Dr. Ruth prescribed budget friendly treatment alternatives. read more

I am leaving this review regarding my unhappy experience with this practice. I went to my scheduled appointment for today and only to be turned away after waiting for 15 min. The lady at the desk stated they did not take my insurance, which is understandable. The lady also proceeded to tell me they had called to tell me this information prior to my appointment but this was untrue. This office had called to confirm my appointments but never told me my insurance was not accepted. I had also asked if my insurance was accepted at the time I made the appointment and was told yes. I explained to the lady that I understood and wished someone had told me prior to my appointment since I drove 30 min away or more and took off work. The staff member was very rude and only stated some employees do not fully understand which insurances their office accepts. I also have a friend I work with that has the same insurance and also has a future appointment with them to call and cancel her appointment and when she did they stated to her they do take her insurance and the only reason they did not accept mine was due to I had a secondary insurance they did not accept. This office needs to educate their staff better with patient communication, knowledge of their practice, and establish better bedside manner with patients. I would not recommend this office unless you like negative surprises and to waste valuable time. read more
