September 2026 my husband was referred to HMG Urology. I was told by HMG they received the…read morereferral on Sept 16. He was not given an appointment until January. His prostate numbers almost doubled during that time. The nurse practitioner we saw, Cassie, was wonderful and very caring. She ordered an MRI. The MRI results were showing cancer. The MRI was done in early April. They didn't get the biopsy ordered until May 20. By this time is prostate numbers had doubled again. As of today we have still not seen a doctor for results. We know it is cancer because the results were in the portal. I called to see about the appointment which is June 16. one month after the biopsy. We talked to the doctor on the phone. We were told he will need surgery but he couldn't get on the schedule until At least August. We chose to change to a doctor in Knoxville. We saw him withim two weeks. Unfortunately, the cancer is stage 3 and surgery is not possible. We have an appointment with the oncologist June 7 and a Pet scan June 15. All before the HMG appointment. I cannot prove it but I feel sure all the delay has caused the cancer to spread to stage 3. If you or someone you love has suspected prostate cancer avoid HMG.

She takes wonderful care of my son and is always straight forward and honest with what she thinks. She never once has made me feel bad or wrong for my parenting decisions even if she didn't completely agree. I absolutely love this doctor! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for an awesome and kind pediatrician.
