Fast, professional and timely service provided by PA Alexis Johnson. The only downfall is they do not accept Medicare patience. I will hopefully utilized there service again before Medicare become my primary provider. Maybe this office will reconsider taking on Medicare patients as well. read more

I have just recently moved to Memphis from Orlando. I have been getting Botox treatments for awhile, at my plastic surgeon's office. I searched for recommendations on Yelp, because I've always been super skeptical about "med spas". I could not be happier that I chose Dr Baker and Dermatology Realm. His staff is all super nice and Dr Baker himself is very charming and attentive. He's got a great hand with the Botox needle, as well, because it's all about the placement. I have been going to Dermatology Realm off and on for many years as skin issues arise. They have always been so pleasant and easy to work with. This is by far the most pleasant dermatologist I have ever met. In the past I had issues with adult acne which is not easy thing to deal with. No adult wants to walk around with a face full of pimples. Other doctors made me feel very self conscious and belittled my acne concerns. Dr. Baker immediately made me feel so comfortable and eased my worries. He and his staff were able to successfully treat it and I now have clear skin. Currently, Ive began to show signs of aging- I have fair skin and have wrinkles and sagging skin that makes me look tired. I wanted to discuss the option of injectables. Dr Baker was my go to guy and patiently listened to my concerns. I had a fear of having that weird puffy face so many people have when trying to fight the signs of aging. He explained my options and eased my fears. I decided to go with injectable filler and Botox. I am thrilled with the results, no puffy face, just natural me - well, me from 10 years ago. Friends just say I look like I've been sleeping better these days or I look so happy and glowing. That's the best sign of good work in my book. Dr Baker and his staff are so awesome! I wanted to try Dermatology Realm for my dermatology treatment as well as for cosmetic treatment. I have been impressed with the efficiency of the staff - no waiting. The visit did seem a bit rushed - I know doctors are very busy. I had asked about cosmetic procedures and he briefly covered a few and said he would give me information. I asked before I left, but he gave me some other info. I asked at the front as I was leaving and they scheduled me for an appointment with the aesthetics director. It just seems to me that these procedures are lucrative for the practice and I would think that the doctor would be all over getting a patient engaged in treatment. read more

The Vasershape treatments are fine and they do work, however, if you travel to any other market with frequency such as California have your treatments there. The Vasershape treatments are much less expensive in other markets. VaserShape Package - 6 sessions $900 for example in a place I go in California. That is less than 2 treatments in the Memphis market. read more

Dr. Baker treated my son for his teenage acne and was ok. When I noticed a spot on my arm that looked suspicious, I went to him for investigation. He took a look and stated it was NOTHING and removed it. It was never sent for biopsy. Because it never healed properly, I went back to him, this time he did biopsy and result was melanoma. His oversight resulted in a serious and expensive melanoma surgery for me....also have a large and unsightly hole in my arm where cancer was removed. Biopsy would have confirmed that it was SOMETHING had he done it. Now looking at second surgery to repair the very unsightly cancer surgery from last year. Office staff very pleasant but definitely doesn't make up for incompetent practices in the exam room. Every physician, upon hearing this story, is aghast that standard procedures were ignored in my case. He might be ok for cosmetic procedures and teenage acne but would definitely recommend against using him for anything else. read more

I will begin with first impressions. Love the location. There are lots of cute little shops in the area if you have time before or after your appointment to look around. The lobby was clean and comfortable. The receptionist was friendly. I had vaser shape with Denise and she was friendly and professional (exactly what you need when you're feeling that vulnerable). Vaser delivered results! As far as the price goes, anything cosmetic will cost you. When it comes to money, I don't consider cost the way I consider VALUE. It may be less expensive in other markets but in this market, that's the going rate and it's worth it. read more

I've never waited more than a few minutes to actually see Dr. Baker and he has always given me a thorough understanding of the answers to my questions along with treatment options, costs, and expected results. I used to go to another dermatologist who I liked, but would take several months to get an appointment and would wait a long time in the waiting room when I got there.
