I came around BYMS on Yelp and google. I decided to schedule a free consultation. The owner saw me, explained about body sculpting and I truly liked that she was real honest about this not being a magic potion. That it was not targeted for overweight people but to those who needed help in certain areas of their body. She explain to me that I was a perfect candidate. I weight 120lbs when I started. Now I weight 115. And the final results are not done yet. I did two body sculpting sessions and by the end of October I should see more improvements in my area. I'm a truly satisfied customer!!

I've been going to Toyos for several years and I'm not sure what has happened but their service and…read morecare has significantly decreased. My appt yesterday was at 4:30. I sat in the waiting room until 5:25 before being called back. The tech who was assigned to me was clearly very new to her role. She repeatedly did things backwards in addition to not providing any communication about what she was attempting to do. She lacked confidence which in turn caused me concern with the calculations/decisions she was making about my eyes. After fiddling with instruments and trying to use tools on me that she wasn't thoroughly trained on, she completed her portion in 20-25 min and told me the Dr would be in shortly. 20 min later, the Dr. Melissa Toyos came in and, within 5 min, started trying to sell me on cataract surgery. (I am at the beginning stages - not full blown cataracts.). Since I wouldn't agree to pupil dilation (due to having been there almost 2 hours by that point), she ushered me out to the eyeglass counter and told me to sit in the waiting room. When she walked by a few minutes later, I asked her if we were going to do a contact lens review/fitting because my contacts were still sitting in the exam room. She responded that she didn't know that. (We had discussed my wearing contacts while I was in the exam room - both with the technician and with the Dr.). Back in the exam room, she told me another person would come in to help with the contacts. After waiting 10 minutes, the young girl came in and asked me if I knew what my contacts prescription was. I told her that information should be in my record because I got the contacts from them. She said "it's ok. I can get it from the optical shop records." 15 min later I was still waiting on her to come back. At this point, I had been there 2 hours and 20 min and there was no one in sight when I walked out in the hallway. I returned to my exam room and as I put my old contacts back in, the Dr poked her head in asking if everything was ok. I told her "no, I'm still waiting on someone to bring me contacts. I cannot wait any longer. This is completely unacceptable. I am appalled at the experience I have just had." I collected my things and walked out. Toyos Clinic used to be good but those days are gone. I highly recommend you look elsewhere. There are plenty other doctors in the Memphis area that are more concerned about their patient experience (and respectful of your time.). Choosing a doctor is a choice and clearly Toyos Clinic is no longer the right choice for optical needs.
