I like new age shops, and I saw this place a few weeks back, but it had already closed for the day. So today when I was wandering around I stopped in to check some things out.
This is a fair size shop, with a lower floor and an d upper floor. Downstairs is mostly books, although I saw a few oracle/tarot decks (most are upstairs), and some home decor items (Buddha statues and such). Upstairs are CDs (meditation and the like), crystals (including jewelry), oracle and tarot cards, pendulums, singing bowls, incense, essential oils, and sage/cleansing items. The store alsos offer different classes/sessions (reiki and that sort of thing), and readings (tarot and such) for those who are interest.
I'm a sucker for crystals. Sometimes I buy a crystal because I like the energy (I know it sounds pretty hippyish), but a lot of times it's a matter "oooh shiny." It's certainly a lot cheaper than buying buying expensive diamond jewelry for myself. Plus they look so pretty decorating a home/small bedroom. The crystals here were decently priced with smaller crystals starting at around 1-2E, and going up from there. There were some polished rose quartz stones behind a locked glass case that were probably a bit more, but if you're looking to get a couple of small or medium sized tumbled or untumbled (regular?) stones it'll likely be a few Euro each.
Each of the stones had a little piece of paper with the name and the healing properties, some of the papers you could take home with you. I actually collected crystals and rocks as a kid and I always liked learning about their mineral properties, so I wish that was included as well...but now we have the internet so I guess that's okay.
Aside from buying a few crystals I also bought a pendulum (crystal one as well, amythyst I believe), and The Crystal Wisdom Oracle Deck by Judy Hall, something I've been meaning to buy for a while. Plus the oracle deck came with another crystal (carnelian, which I don't have yet). Everything came to about 30E, with the biggest expense being the oracle deck.
I think the only downside to this shop is I'll want to buy something every time I come here. Likely I'll be back, but I'll try not to rush back too soon. This is a pretty cool shop and definitely worth checking out. read more
