I have been driving for four years with no accidents and no tickets. I came in to take my test and the instructor said it would be no longer than 15 minutes. I thought okay cool even better. We hop onto the road and I am feeling really confident given that I have so much experience on the road. I make full stops, check my blind spots, my turn signal is on 100+ ft prior to my turn, went 20 in school zone, merged with no problems. When I go back to park the car after, the instructor said "let me do some math" and starts knocking off a ton of stuff like I was still driving. That already made me mad because why wasn't it done during the test? Now you just look like a scammer trying to look for a fast cash grab (spoiler: I was right). I so vividly remember him only writing on the paper three times while I was driving. All the sudden the paper looks like a scratch sheet during a math test with all this mumbo jumbo written on it and a bunch of scribbles on the road map. I still felt confident that I passed and then I look at my score and I miss the passing grade by 1 point. Are we being serious right now? Coincidence..? I THINK NOT! The instructor began to explain what I missed. No blindspot checking for my 2nd merge (wrong - I remember quite literally making a whole turn of the body just so he acknowledges my blindspot check + I only merged once within our short 10 minute drive), the car was in the cross walk (I made full stops at the line before creeping up to check oncoming traffic), and my turn signal was late (I am a late turn signals biggest hater - I know first hand to turn it on 100 feet before turning). It literally felt like he was just searching for anything to mark me down for and I know exactly why. They want you to keep paying. You basically pay to pass at this business. When he had offered me to schedule another test, I went in and they asked that I pay ANOTHER $75. I said yeah no cancel that appointment and lose my number. When I hopped into my car, I looked these guys up on Yelp and felt like I walked the prank for not checking here first before booking. They even gave me a sheet to rate them and turn into the DMV. Best believe the DMV is going to be taking these guys off their approved third party test proctors after my survey gets turned in. Save your money and go somewhere else AND let them know you are onto the scams that these kinds of companies run. Its currently way past when I took the test and I'm still mad, so I just had to hop on and let my opinion be known.

Took my 2014 Macbook Pro into Mactek On October 15 2016 due to liquid damage. The computer has been…read morein that shop pretty much ever since. As I write this it is 1/23/2017 over three months later. I have my macbook back but it is barely functional. They told me I could purchase a new motherboard and I did so. About 2 months later the new motherboard was installed. About 1 week after the installation the new motherboard failed and the computer would not turn on. I took it back to mactec and they told me their parts should be under warranty. They have since changed their story and told me their parts may or may not be under warranty and that they are "working" on getting the new motherboard repaired/replaced. Without discussing with me, they attempted a "refurbishment" of the old motherboard, gave the computer back to me with the old water damaged motherboard installed, and told me this was what they were able to do to resolve my situation. This is after paying them over $1,300 in repair costs. I order product "A" and they give me product "B". To make matters worse, the old motherboard that was inserted into the machine in a desperate attempt to resolve the situation, showed signs of failure a day after I took it home. I am still working with them to come to an amicable solution, if they manage to repair or replace my new motherboard I will update and edit this review. 3/7/2017 Review Update: The issue has come to an amicable solution and I am very grateful that Mactek worked very hard to make this issue right. I appreciate the followthrough and commitment to good customer service and honest business. Glad to come to a solution with these folks. There's so much to do and see from skiing, mountain biking, road biking, river rafting, climbing, hiking, and checking out the great variety of terrain. The views of the mountains and the high desert makes the time spent here worth the drive from California (aside from my being with my son!). Consumer prices are a bit lower than in the Bay Area where I live, so that's a bonus. There are many new hotels and lovely bed & breakfasts in Bend. Lots of trendy restaurants to test as well! One summer day I enjoyed tastings from several restaurants which had set up tents along the Deschutes River. There was live music and plenty of friendly people, although not nearly the large crowds I'm used to. The next day I attended a Beer Festival featuring over 40 micro breweries in the area. This event was held at the new outdoor amphitheater and also featured live music. Many, many people travelled to this event on their bicycles, which were locked up to the surrounding fences. A really cool, mellow atmosphere alongside the river banks.

A while back, I had a frustrating experience with their mailroom my package sat untouched for a week, and communication felt nonexistent. Thankfully, things have changed. Recently, the staff has been far more responsive and helpful. Packages are processed quickly, and it's clear that the team is paying attention and taking their responsibilities seriously. Whatever changes they've made behind the scenes are working, and I appreciate the effort. I'm happy to say COCC has come a long way, and my experience now reflects a much more reliable and well‑run operation.
