Our experience with the Early Childhood Education program for the past three years has been outstanding. As a parent, the most important thing is trust, and we have real trust in the teachers and leaders. The staff know the children, care about their growth, communicate with families, and create a warm, nurturing environment where kids feel safe, supported, and excited to come each day. The care is high-quality, thoughtful, robust, and flexible, which matters so much for working families and families with different needs. I also deeply appreciate the J's broader commitment to inclusion, especially its programming for individuals with disabilities and families who benefit from extra support. That is one of the things that makes the J feel like more than a gym, preschool, camp, or community center. It is a place that works hard to create belonging. The facilities are excellent and very well maintained. The campus is especially fun in the summer, with the pool, splash pad, camp programming, sports fields, tennis courts, fitness center, classrooms, art spaces, and community gathering areas all working together. When snowbirds are here you can't really get into classes ( most are great) unless you set alarms for yourself and sign up a couple of days ahead. The place skews older and I although there are high school kids there in the afternoons it's not age diverse. Plus side is it's very forgiving and a great place to start weight lifting and more. There are paid programs for that and I think that would be worth it. I belong to a few other places so it's not a problem. I really like yin yoga there and trx . If this is going to be your main place you will be frustrated.
