I was notified via email from GN that my cancellation request was being processed (which I never requested). So I contacted Rancho Manana's pro shop to ask what happened because I did not request to cancel my afternoon tee time. Then Tom at the pro shop told me he received a call from GN to cancel my tee time, allegedly. And of course, the tee time was booked up within an hour. So Tom tells me I can book for other open tee times instead. The resolution was for the customer to lose their original tee time, and then rebook a different tee time because the pro shop canceled my tee time erroneously. Ultimately had to book an earlier tee time and I requested for Tom to hook me up with a cheaper rate due to their mess-up. So Tom agreed and gave me a discounted greens fee. I suppose that was nice but it would have been better if he offered it in the beginning after acknowledging that he cancelled my tee time without verifying the caller who called in to cancel my tee time. Course: 4-stars - Challenging, fun tracks with decent greens. I'd say the only reason for the minus 1 star is due to the driving range being kind of small and cost of range balls - $10 for a small bag of balls? Come on - just feels like they're taking advantage of the players here. Overall: 3-stars - Had a great time with the boys and definitely would love to come back. Just sucked to have to deal with some BS the morning of my tee time. If I hadn't called GolfNow's customer service to clear things up and if Tom didn't make it right for his mistake, and me and the boys didn't have a great time, then this would be a 1-star review. But luckily, all the golfers in my group (6 players) were able to make it to an earlier tee time(s) and we worked it all out. So 3-stars for having a fun set of 18 holes.

I was scrolling through my pictures thinking, "Man, I gotta write this review," and then I see people giving this place low ratings. Low ratings? Were we on the same planet? Did you accidentally golf in a Walmart parking lot instead? Because this place is flat-out gorgeous. Arizona already feels like it cheated at golf. Every course looks like it belongs on a postcard, but this one? This one flexes a little. Easy top three for me. You've got two 18-hole courses, both designed to politely shake your hand... and then rob you blind. I'd call it about an 8 in difficulty. Not impossible, but it'll absolutely have you questioning your life choices by hole 12. Now let's talk strategy. You can ride in a golf cart like a king, sipping drinks, living your best life... or you can do what we did get out and walk like a couple of overconfident heroes who forgot we're not 21 anymore. By the back nine, we weren't golfing... we were negotiating with our legs. "Just one more hole, boys... we can make it..." The restaurant? Solid. Food hits the spot, drinks go down easy, and by the time you sit down, you feel like you actually earned it instead of just chauffeuring yourself around the desert. By the end of the day, we were sun-cooked, leg-burned, slightly humbled... and loving every second of it. Long day, half hustle so we didn't get run over, and a full reminder that golf is a game that will smile at you while quietly ruining your scorecard. Bottom line if you get the chance to play here, do it. And maybe stretch first... learn from our mistakes.

Quite a drive to far far North Scottsdale but so tranquil and well maintained. The course was more desert than I am used to but I found it perfectly challenging. The staff was flawless, locker room spotless. We were blessed to have experienced it last week as the home prices and this country club dues are a wee bit out of our budget for the moment. All I can say is that our clubs were placed in our trunk cleaner than the day they were purchased!

The clubhouse has amazing and relaxing environment. We had drinks on the patio (great for photos). Had heater lamps so we ate on the other side of the patio. The food was pretty good. The biggest issue is the condition of the course. Nearly every hole had fairways with very little grass, and what grass remained often appeared diseased, dead, or severely stressed. Even for a desert course, the playing conditions were well below expectations. The facilities are also quite dated and in need of attention. Pace of play was another frustration. Despite seeing marshals pass through four times during our first 12 holes, the round moved painfully slowly with little apparent improvement. At this price point, golfers should expect much better course conditions and management. The one bright spot was that they allowed us to play as a twosome on a busy tee sheet, which I appreciated. For visitors, I'd recommend spending a little more for one of the many Scottsdale-area courses with superior agronomics and overall experience. For locals, there are simply too many better options nearby. Unfortunately, this is a hard pass for me moving forward.

The customer service is amazing. The pro shop is incredible. The restaurant and bar look like four or five star! Obviously, since a gift for someone else, I won't be actually golfing, but I will check back with him to see how he likes the course itself, and I will update my review afterwards, but as a golfer, I can't imagine this place not being a great experience.
