Went to Dr Cosgrove at Desert Med Spa in Indian wells wanting to find out if Botox in one area(neck) worked. I was upsold to getting it in 4 areas, at a cost of $950. Also tried to tell me I should get another skin treatment, but I declined that one. Major upseller; don't really think an M.D. should be upselling like this. Three weeks after Botox treatment, there was ZERO improvement. Was told I needed more botox, so I complied. Three weeks later, still no positive improvement, in fact treated areas looked slightly worse and /or droopier. Upon research, it is stated that incorrect injection CAN indeed cause areas to droop more! Dr.Cosgrove's response was "Well, we tried". Unacceptable response, and would definitely not advise using Desert Med Spa and/or Dr. Doriana Cosgrove for any reason. $950 down the drain, and I've also since read that Botox in the areas she treated (lower face and neck)doesn't really work well unless you use an absolutely inordinate amount( deadly??). I do have Botox every 3-4 months in my forehead at another clinic, and it ALWAYS works beautifully. Only tried Desert Med Spa because I received a discount flyer in the mail. NEVER again. read more

I came to see Dr. Doriana back last year, and what she did was amazing. I showed up there with little expectation, and she went above and beyond to exceed them. I had the POD threading procedure, and though I don't really pay close attention to my face, I kept getting this rain of compliments from friends and family telling me that I looked very fresh! The care she provided was also exceptional. I love the way she addressed my concerns and how she performed the procedure. I am definitely coming back to her clinic by the end of this year. The receptionist also did a good job providing basic information about Dr. Doriana and her services. I definitely recommend her clinic to anyone who is trying to rejuvenate. 1 started having major break outs during Covid. As someone who never had issues with acne before I immediately started freaking out and panicked... ended up completely scarring my problem area while still breaking out in the same area. I went to see Claudia Lopez, she took such great care of me and my skin. Claudia analyzed my problem areas and told me exactly what she seen. My facial was so relaxing and I got up feeling refreshed and glowing, she even customized a skin care regiment with recommendations to treat my acne and dark spots. I have gone each month to see her and over the 4 months my scarring has almost gone completely and though I do still have a few pimples here and there my skin doesn't feel as clogged or look as dull. I have also seen Dr. Doriana Cosgrove for fillers, I had a small top lip and a heavier bottom lip. Dr. Dori enhanced my lips and gave them more volume without over doing it. Dr. Cosgrove is very pleasant and I have been happy with results. The staff runs hot/cold, reception desk was once pleasant but has been borderline rude in the last several months. I went in for an appointment recently and under the guise of "Covid concerns", was handed a clipboard, pen, and a paper questionnaire to ensure I was not an at-risk client. Obviously, they have no respect for a no-touch environment. Worse, I was informed that there is also what amounts to a liability waiver to protect them from clients claiming to have tested positive to Covid following a visit to their facility. I have had 3 appointments in medical facilities in the last 4 weeks (overdue preventive care, PT). All asked pertinent questions verbally, noted my response in their file. I have been seeing Courtney for over a year to reduce dark spots from sun damage and to treat melasma ("pregnancy mask"). I've been here a few times to get dermaplaning by Christy and my face always glows and looks so smooth when she's finished. I recently decided to step it up and get a Vitalize peel, the process didn't take long and there was minimal stinging as she applied the peel. She warned me that my face would start to shed about 3 days after and I was fine with that. I went back to see her a week later for a complimentary facial to help remove some of the left over flaky skin. I would say by day 9 my face was no longer flaky and has continued to look great. I plan on going in for another one after New Year's, it really helps improve the skin texture and gives the skin a very healthy look and feel. I've done my own peels at home before but have never gotten anywhere near the results I have from having someone as skilled as Christy do them. read more
