It was my first time at Desert and I clearly see that it was a causal spot. You can come dressed comfortable. You have the option of different soda cans to relieve your thirst. You pay upfront. The hookah was bad. Dirty even. If you want a spot to hangout with friends without elegant/nice service this spot is for you. Was looking for a hookah lounge late Friday night where I could do some homework. I walked in and was greeted by their friendly staff, I immediately asked about an outlet for my laptop and they accommodated my request, which I was super grateful for! Their price's were normal range, $14-$17+ just depending on what you wanted. I used their yelp coupon, you check in and get some sort of discount. The staff was very attentive and changed the coals pretty often. Overall, it was a chill vibe, good music, and not too loud, enough where you could hold a conversation comfortably. The person who gave this place one star because of a phone conversation cracks me up. Who cares? Maybe he was in the middle of something. Maybe he thought you were a prank caller. Get over it. That said, there's always the same 2 guys running the joint. They're cool, sort of suave and polite but not over the top friendly. It's nice... I go there to smoke, not to chat up the owners. The attitude fits perfectly with the vibe. So, my boyfriend and I go here quite a bit. It's really nice, and I don't feel rushed like I do at some hookah lounges. The atmoshpere is really great, with couches inside and a huge patio courtyard thing with tables and chairs. They have packaged sodas and energy drinks and stuff.. overpriced. Duh, take your own in. Happy hour here is the greatest. $5 for two people... SO worth it. They have about a million flavors, our favorites are margarita, watermelon and strawberry-kiwi. The one stars for the phone call and post about how it went from a 5 star to a 1 star are both quite funny since that is never how the place has been since I have been going there. I go with a group of friends at least once a week for the past year to year and a half since, while my friends who live in the area go more frequently. We can all say that it is worth the drive from the OC because of the atmosphere, quality of the hookah, and the environment. Wonderful place just to kick back and chill with a group of friends, especially when you don't have anything else to do. Staff is awesome, not super chatty but once you get to know them, they really hook you up. They just had a new vent system installed, so they have real, good quality coals and no quick-lites or low quality coals. Coals come around pretty frequently, but if you get up to ask, they are extremely prompt in responding to any service requests. They have happy hour, which is a must, and a super deal as well as a punch card for loyal customers. I would definitely check the place out if you are in the area or you are tired of bad service and bad quality hookah elsewhere. It is definitely worth your time and money. read more

Desert Nights isn't a hookah lounge. This place is like going to your friend's house that serves hookah. PRICE: I've been too many hookah lounges and this lounge has the cheapest prices so far. $8 for all hookah flavors and $3 refills during happy hour (5pm - 8pm). $13 after happy hour. QUALITY: The hookah quality is good but not outstanding. It smokes well and the tastes of the flavor come out pretty clean. They have a good variety of shisha flavors carrying 3 brands: Haze, Fumari, and your typical Starbuzz. The quality of the hookah is pretty good considering the price. SERVICE: Like I said, it's like going to your friend's house. Don't expect the most attentive and professional service when you come here but it's not terrible. They get the job done and get you your hookah promptly and since I'm not too picky, I have no complaints. ENVIRONMENT: It's a chill lounge. Nothing amazing. It's a lounge where you can come in and socialize. They have nice leather couches, flat screen TVs, and an outdoor seating area as well. They play sports and random YouTube videos on their TVs and play music as well. The location is pretty bad but isn't really a big deal for me. Overall, Desert Nights Hookah Lounge is a nice place to come with friends to socialize or by yourself for a hookah session. It's a good experience but not amazing. I had a pretty bizarre experience here. The employees here made it obvious that customer service isn't their top priority.. it isn't even on the list. I went to this hookah lounge with my friend around 9 pm and walk in. My friend immediately had to use the restroom so she asked if they had one and the owner said it was outside. We started walking towards the door and THE EMPLOYEES AND OTHER CUSTOMERS STARTED LAUGHING AT US! The restroom was inside the business not outside, the employee just thought it would be funny to "trick us" into thinking it was outside. My friend desperately had to use the restroom so we walked right back inside and there was no "just kidding! Your hookahs on us tonight" or anything (that wouldn't even make up for it) so as soon as we were done using the restroom we came back out, glanced at the menu while asking questions to make sure he knew we were unbothered by his little stunt, and then we left. Super odd. They probably all have regulars that come in and came from broken homes in the surrounding neighborhoods so they don't need new customers and don't care to have high customer service standards or even basic respect towards fellow human beings to attract customers and in turn make more money. It's probably like a trade off to them, they don't attract any new customers, not increasing their profits, but it's ok because they get to treat people badly and attempt to embarrass them for their own sick, twisted enjoyment. As for the ambiance, the couches were ripped and it looked like the people in there could've been gang members. The restroom was dirty and almost out of toilet paper. It's not a good environment. We ended up leaving just after a random guy offered to buy us our hookah (a creep) and went to another mediocre lounge in riverside, luckily there wasn't any childish drama coming from the employees. read more

I love this hookah bar; it's reasonably priced, they got the good flavors, and they definitely hook you up if you're a regular. the atmosphere is nice, dark inside, loud music, and WELL VENTILATED. i will admit that some of the people who GO there are a little ridiculous, but as far as the people who WORK there, some of the nicest people!! my friend locked her keys in the car and they helped tried to get it open and wouldn't leave till they got it open. we stood out there for a good two hours. inside it's not over the top. nice furniture, nice TVs, and a good sound system. my only complaint with it is the fact that a can of soda is $2, which in my opinion is pricey. it gets REALLY REALLY crowded on a friday/saturday night, i mean NOWHERE AT ALL TO SIT. my posse and i normally go on a tueday or wednesday night, where there is practically nobody there. read more

Absolutely disgusting place I don't even want to rate this and they are lucky I didn't call the cops last night due to this. Keep in mind I came here sober so did my husband our "friend" wasn't.. my husband and I had to use the restroom so when I came back I realized our "friend" was speaking to the "owners" TELL ME WHY I ASKED THESE PEOPLE are you a friend of my friend they said yah because we were expecting someone. they continued to fuck around with us which was strange and unprofessional. Then walked over to the other owners and called me a name in Spanish .. when I told my husband he confronted like a husband should long story short they tried to get down with him.. a big white shirt guy even said let's go to the back.. trying to jump him. I wish he would go further than that cuz then I would of definitely done more.. call cops & took charges. We even paid for our hookah and got treated like shit. The worst part is they kept denying and I knew they were bc they weren't speaking to me. As someone who owns multiple businesses this not how you run it. Also there is tons of drug use among the employees. So none of their head actually working. I'm not a problematic person at all so I knew when this happened there is definitely wrong with the staff. Also they don't ID under age women either bc I came here before multiple times.. girls that shouldn't be able to come in are in here. do yourself a favor and go to another place!!!! Me and my friend have been coming here once a week for about a year now and its always seemed pretty chill but it depends. We've gone on some Saturdays where its totally packed and other Saturdays where its pretty much just us. In terms of price they're pretty good $10 for regular and $13 for "exotic" shisha. Drinks cost about $3 each and all they have is canned sodas and red bulls. Word of warning, don't get exotic shisha it drips in your throat. The guys who work there are pretty cool they always keep your hookah coaled up and ready to go. They only have one hose hookahs so be prepared to share or to buy another one. Sometimes they have a DJ there on Saturday and sometimes they don't, i don't really know their schedule. Theirs one slick Arabic guy and hes pretty cool but if you see a big Arabic guy with a chinstrap beard just leave because hes going to be a total dick about everything. In terms of girls its alright mostly its just your standard riverside fat brohos but on some occasions i have seen some fine chicks in there. read more

Gave the lounge an extra star due to decor, soft seating and low lights makes for a comfortable atmosphere and service is excellent. But the down side is the equipment I had severe dry cough after the last time and suspect the apparatus was not clean. Currently I am completely turned off smoking and very apprehensive of the cleanliness of apparatus after this experience. I wonder if I should carry my own equipment and connect it to the lounges hookah. read more

As someone who has been smoking hookah regularly around different places in the Inland Empire, this has become my go-to hookah bar. 1) Service -You can expect quality service and being quickly given your hookah and coals within minutes of paying. 2) Pricing -Eh, as long as you're there around 8, you get a daily deal of 5 dollar (or was it 8?) hookahs, I usually get ice or ice tips, so it comes to around 6-10 dollars. After 8pm , it's 13 a hookah. 3) Coals -Always a major factor in determining the quality of a hookah bar is their attention to coals. They certainly do not drop the ball here, my coals usually get changed every 30 minutes and if not, asking 1 time will make the man with the coals change ypu out right on the spot. Bravo! 4) Parking -It can get pretty cramped at times, no biggie though as you can park in the sidestreet or the nearby burger shop parking lot. 5) Hookahs -Now to the main point, they tend to only last 45 minutes to an hour, which is disappointing to me to have to go up and order another bowl if I wanna stay for longer periods of time and the flavors tend to all degenerate into 1 single, fruity flavor after a period of time which just causes me to lemon-face. Overall, good atmosphere and customer service, the hookahs could be replaced by better ones, but if you're looking for a nice hangout, then I recommend DN. read more
