I just moved to Riverside a few months ago and this is now my home bar! I come here to practice pool but the whole atmosphere is excellent. It all depends on when you come and the vibe you're looking for because there's always something different on every day. I enjoy it all. Early evenings when it's quiet and full of regulars and I get the pool tables to myself. Their fries are perfect whether you get the waffle or regular. We even got a flatbread that was over the top delicious. The drag shows, the karaoke, the back patio, and dancing. Always something to do at VIP. read more

a month later and i am still thinking about their fries and boneless buffalo wings their food is so delicious and always seasoned and cooked perfectly. their french fries are yummmmmmm. they have parmesan cheese and paired with their ranch sauce is a match made in heaven. the ambiance is nice i like to come to eat early like 8ish when it is still a bit empty and quiet so i can eat and play a game of pool before the tables get busy. then i stay for the show at 9:30. the shows are always fun! and there are no covers on thursdays which is always a plus! make sure you take your single bills to tip the performers and bartenders. my cran vodka was super strong so i only needed one lol. thank you for saving me money. read more

If you're a woman, yikes. They mostly only let in men and if you decide to come in on a more busy day you're def not going to be let in if you're a woman. Just be ready for that. Was looking forward to the drag show, just sucks. Me and my group of friends ironically saw another group of 3 girls get rejected entry as well so it isn't just an us problem. It's a really fun cool thing to do and be at when you're really bored it's very convenient for me because it's right behind my house. The staff is super cool and they have a patio. They have amazing pool tables and they know how to make drinks well so far i've had a great experience every time me and my boyfriend go there to play pool watch the shows and the karaoke ! I honestly wanted to like this place, but the two times I went, one time alone and the other with a friend and both times me(im a gay woman)and her felt both times that me/her were not wanted there. At first i was thinking maybe this is just gay men only and that's why,but there were other women in there and the 2nd time. Even a worker would look at us like we shouldn't be there. We just stayed in one corner the whole short time we were there. Tip of advice, don't make people that are in the same community feel unwelcomed, unless they're causing harm or being annoying especially in these times. straight people do that enough of that. The drinks are strong, bartenders are friendly, the enormous smoking patio and the incredible burger--kid you not, it's a perfect recreation of how a Dave's 1/3 lbs classic single burger from Wendy's tasted when I was a kid. Great place for drinks, a bite to eat, and maybe a few games of pool. When you first enter there is the bar, some booth seating, and two pool tables tucked in the corner. If you go down the hall past the bathrooms you'll get to the outdoor patio area. The bartenders here are all nice and we've always received good service here. read more

I recently visited VIP Nightclub for their Saturday drag brunch and we had so much fun! I pre-purchased 12 tickets in advance (through their website) and we had a total of 3 tables. You are able to select your table when booking your ticket, so you can book close to your friends if you have multiple tables. They have bottomless mimosas for only $15!!! Their food selection is also great, the portions are large, and everything is super reasonably priced. The drag show was so entertaining....I was sad when it was over. Be sure to tip your drag queens! You can bring cash and they can break your bills for you. I live in the OC, but I will be back to Riverside for their drag brunch! read more

Was just going to check in today but then I got my sweet chili boneless wings with ranch dipping sauce. OMG they are delicious. The ranch dressing is so perfect. Tastes like what ranch was when it first became popular (many years ago). You can actually taste the buttermilk. LOVEEEE THE DRAG BRUNCH ON SATURDAY AND FRIDAY NIGHT SHOWS. Food is super cheap and at a great price. They have $15 endless mimosas for brunch and almost everything on the menu is under $10. We got the waffles (comes with bacon) and the avocado toast. Both were really good!!! (Be careful: waffles are really sweet though). I've also eaten the chicken sandwich from the night menu, and although I was skeptical because it was so cheap, I really liked it! (Added bacon and cheese to take it to the next level). I didn't order any boneless wings but I really wish I had Bc they looked tremendous, all saucy and sopped up. The performers are QUEENS hunnyyyyy! They put on an amazing show every. single. time. (When you go, make sure to bring one dollar bills or ask the waiters for change to tip the dancers during their numbers). Make sure to reserve your tickets/ tables online because you may not be guaranteed a table (search their Instagram page to stay up to date and find booking links. Some reservations are even free but the others are superrr affordable, max $13 a person) The tables are a littleeee close together for my covid liking but the staff properly wear masks. They have both outdoor and indoor seating but the show takes place outside so dress for the weather. The tables do have umbrellas but it can still get really hot so beware. Ok, so hear me out on why I ranked it so high. The food is not made by a fancy chef (that I know of) in terms of spectacular presentation or exotic flavors, but with a gay pour and a few drinks in, you will melt over the bar snacks. The place always puts on a good show and the staff is nothing but nice always. It's close to home so I frequent here and it always is nice to enjoy the watering hole. The fun is always there and it may not be swarming with people but it has a great area for a chill drink and some fun inside. read more

The bartender Manuel O decided to tip himself when I handed him my card to pay for mozzarella sticks, mind you I just got there hadn't even been there for an hour yet and just got 1 drink . I don't mind tipping I had cash to tip with I atleast wanted 1 more drink before I tipped . I found it rude and disrespectful that he took it upon himself to tip himself. So my friend and I arrived at VIP at 12:15am to have a drink or two to end the night. Had ID check and a wrist band placed on our wrists and then we were told to pay a cover. When I asked why there was a cover he said there was a drag show. I stated that the drag show was done why would I pay to go in for a drag show I won't be seeing. He said it was only $5 in which my friend said that $5 would have gone towards drinks. Why pay for a show that we didn't get to see. So we left. They Belittled a person in our group for not saying what flavor of white claw they wanted, then continued to talk crap about that person to another person in our group. As we waited near the dance floor for it to open, apparently we were standing to close to the floor so the worker pushed my friend from behind. I will never recommend this place to anyone I know. Will gladly drive all the way to Ontario and watch a show at hamburger Mary's after this. Also if the bartender is talking crap to you and you decide not to tip bcus of poor service.
