I searched for a photographer for what you'd think would be a simple task - Canadian passport…read morephotos. There are very strict requirements and I've had many friends have their applications rejected for the tiniest photo issues. I wanted to find a photographer who knew what they were doing and would get it right the first time. That was basically my only requirement. Actual talent was not on my list of requirements. I contacted Mark Davidson Photography and was able to get in the next day due to a cancellation. I arrived a bit early and they were already setting up -- so refreshing to not have to wait. Mark and his wife are incredibly friendly and made the whole process quick and painless - a bonus for somebody who does not love being photographed. I ended up being happier with these passport photos than I ever been with any others. I also had a chance to look around the studio at his other work. His portrait work is beautiful. His commercial work is nothing short of stunning. I may not have been looking for a talented photographer but that's certainly what I ending up finding. A wonderful experience from start to finish. His communication before, during, and after the shoot was top notch. He had recommendations for hair and makeup artists at the ready, if needed. But most importantly: he is an amazing headshot photographer. He knows what to say and do to get the best shot and expression out of his clients. I signed with a top five agency after getting my shots the first time around, and I've always had a pretty good EcoCast request rate on Actors Access and Breakdowns / Casting Networks, so when it was time for a refresh - I knew Dennis was my first call. I'd also like to shout out Dennis for being super accommodating. I am a disabled actor and I use a mobility device. Dennis selected a shoot location that was accessible, he knew where all of the ramps were, and he made sure I was comfortable throughout the shoot.
