Pahrump has a large number of veterans and Desert View Hospital resides next door to the Pahrump VA Clinic. I'm a Vietnam Veteran who uses the VA care system. On 1/20/2023 I had an approved cat scan scheduled and completed. Waited 4 hours until my turn came. Veterans are given a voucher number which is good for 3 months. Desert Radiology has 3 months to bill the VA voucher. Outside of this time voucher is not active and VA does not make payment, nor do they encourage the veteran to do so either. So, Desert View Radiology does not invoice until April and thus no payment is made. Instead of calling or resubmitting the bill to the VA, they mark it as unpaid and start a harassment campaign to bill me personally. After countless calls from the VA billing dept. on my behalf to stop the many billings, they referral their attention to a Henderson Collection Agency. 7/16/2024 after a call to the billing dept they agreed to a 30-day account "review." Now it's 9/4/2024 and even after another shared call to their billing dept on 8/28/2024 where they agreed to a 2-day "accelerated review" with a callback to confirm an action to wright the billing off as their mistake and direct the Collection Agency to remove actions against me. Desert Radiology scheduled me for a procedure that required fasting. About "four hours" prior to the procedure and after about a one month wait , Desert Radiology contacted me and said that the person that did my procedure was not in that day and that they would have to reschedule me. So I rescheduled the appointment for about another three weeks out. On the day of that scheduled appointment, again about., "four hours" prior to my appointment, they called me and once again said that the person scheduled to do the procedure was not there again! I was not very happy that I had to put off another important appointment for that day, only to have Desert Radiology cancel again on the day of the procedure. They tried to reschedule me again, but there is no way I would ever do business with these people again. If you have a medical issue, I would suggest that you find someone that is reliable, because in my opinion, Desert Radiology is not! read more

We moved to Pahrump from California in 2017. We love it here and enjoy the services of Desert Radiology of Pahrump. The reason for the low rating: My wife is having a lot of pain and trouble with her kidney and cancer doctor thinks the growth and pain is caused by cancer. We have tried to get a biopsy schedule with Desert Radiology of Las Vegas. We have called and with very long waits or no connection. I went to Desert Radiology of Pahrump to get help and see what they could do. Then the nightmare starts. In the past Desert Radiology of Pahrump has been very supportive and help with any problems or issues. I met Megan Meads (front desk supervisor). She refused to help because it was out of her area and does not have the time (she was just standing around when I approached her). I informed her of the problem and how the front desk was always so helpful. Megan Meads, again, refused to help, make a call to get any information and suggested that I leave. I ask Megan Meads to talk with he boss. She informed me she does not report to anyone and she is full charge of everything. I informed her the my only recourse was to write this review. Megan Meads informed me to "Go For It and it would not do any good". I have owned three businesses and was upper management for over 25 years and have never known a Supervisor that did not report to a management or an owner. If you need special help, do not ask Megan Meads. I think Megan Meads needs retraining on customer service and/or put back on the desk doing customer service. I do not believe she has good supervisor skills. The next time I need any special help and see Megan Meads at the front desk, I will drive to Las Vegas for help. I suggest everyone does the same. read more

First time I called I spent 25 min on hold to tell me they can't find my referral. The next week called at 8 am , 25 min later they got my referral but the guy I talked to said I had to go to Henderson ? Because they dont do ct scans .I live in Pahrump. read more

If your going to attempt to schedule an appointment pack a snack bag and possibly a sleeping bag you are going to be on the phone forever! When you finally get a representative you will need google translator to understand what the staff member is even saying. I waited on hold for over 37 minutes to just speak to someone. After several moments of can you repeat that or can you spell that, I was told to contact my doctor's office to get the clinical notes so this half butt checks outfit could obtain prior authorization, like a Walmart self check out cashier I now work in the medical field!!! What a Joke this place is. No wonder our senior population is cranky, they have to deal with places like this!!!! read more

Once I got there it was a good experience. Trying to make the appointment was the hardest thing since no one ever answers the phone.

The technicians and Doctors are fine but trying to get someone on the phone for an appointment is ridiculous. In my 3 times I've used them my minimum time on hold was 25 minutes. The longest wait was 38 minutes. Just to get an appointment. This to me shows no appreciation for patients what so ever. I will be scheduling with someone else in the future. I'd rather drive to VGAs than be disrespected like this. read more

Try scheduling an appointment at this facility. Could get through on the phone, so I went went over to Pahrump location at 2:00pm slower now, and I asked the receptionist if I could make an appointment and get she said it would take an hour to make an appointment. Spent 45 minutes waiting on the phone, that's why I went there. The receptionist said it would take an hour, so I would leave and try to use the phone again. I would not use this location or company if it wasn't for my insurance. read more
