When we were down to our final four, it was hard for us to make a firm decision, as we were cautious due to the previous bad experience that we had just gone through with the other photographer. Then my fiancé told me "so no to JoJo or did you like her stuff"? I was like. "Who is JoJo? I've never seen Jojo's photos". It gets a little confusing when you're looking at several images, to keep them all straight. Immediately after seeing Joanna's photos, our top 4 got tossed to the side and we knew at that moment we found our photographer :) We spoke on the phone with Joanna and she was super friendly and had answers to all of our questions, and had more to share with us that we didn't think of. We met Joanna at Knights Ferry for our engagement shoot, which is a must (very cool place that she suggested). I took an intro to photography class here and it was great. Dean took us through all the basics of…read morethe settings on each camera, ranging from Program to aperature and shutter priority to white balance to discussing lenses, flash, and equipment like tripods. The class is quite long so be prepared - and eat before because I didn't and I was starving! There were about 12 people in my class so it does take some time since he helps each person find each thing on their prospective camera and everyone has different settings. I wasn't a beginner beginner taking this class (have already been shooting on Aperture priority) but it definitely helped me understand more about settings I was already using. This is a good class if you're brand new to a camera, but also if you've been shooting for a while but mostly on auto.

If you've considered boudoir and aren't sure where to start, I couldn't recommend Lynn more. I…read morewanted to do a shoot for my husband for our first anniversary (the paper anniversary). Having to reschedule my shoot several times due to a surprise summer job, and later a last minute vacation, Lynn was very accommodating and to say the least, very patient with all the reschedules! We had a consultation early on that laid out how the shoot would work and what my package options were (there's definitely something for everyone). I settled on a special package that included a photo album, digital copies on a usb, and a digital brag book for our phones. I wasn't particularly nervous going into the shoot, as I am already very comfortable with my body, but for anyone having any doubts, I assure you that Lynn makes everything not only comfortable, but fun! Though I did not partake, there is always wine available at the shoot to help ease your nerves too! My hair and makeup was done by Erica and I'd highly recommend doing the same. It makes it so much easier to jump right into the shoot and you don't have to worry about your hair or makeup getting messed up before hand. Besides, Erica does an amazing job and made me feel gorgeous! The shoot is laid out in an apartment and Lynn walks you through all your poses, even facial expressions. She definitely knows what she is doing! It was amazing going through the photos after she was done with them....and SO HARD to choose between them for the book! She had me looking gorgeous! I must have gone over the photos a half dozen times before I settled on my final choices; again Lynn was very patient :) My book took a couple weeks to come in and I couldn't wait. I checked my email compulsively for the message that it had arrived. The book was an amazing quality and Lynn presented it in a pretty, sturdy, gray box with a pink bow. To say that my husband loved it would be an understatement! He was blown away! And knowing that he can carry the digitals on his phone and computer was a bonus! In short, I could not be happier with my experience and have already mentioned it to several of my friends! Even if you don't have a significant other, do it for yourself...you won't regret it!

I could scarcely believe the gorgeous, sexy woman in the photos was me! Lynn has a real talent for choosing just the right lighting and angles to make her subjects look amazing. I was having a family event with some family I had not seen in 30+ years and there is a real likelihood I would never see some of them again. I hired Fritz to capture the event so my family and I could remember it forever. Fritz got some fantastic natural shots that are absolutely priceless. He was also great at getting everyone's attention when it was group photo time. He was quick to organize and get the shots he needed without the group going astray.
