Law enforcement cited this establishment for doing mechanic work without a license. They promised a refund, yet nothing has been received. I was a customer for many years. It's a shame they decline any help. Please post here how you intend to compensate for my loss based on poor workmanship creating life threatening conditions. I received no offer after law enforcement contacted M & S and after I went there in person. Your previous reply seems hollow and disingenuous. It is against the Motor Vehicle Service and Repair Act to charge for or perform repairs on a vehicle when you are not certified. State agent Dennis Koss is the person who issued their violation. The shop hasn't made any offer to me for their bad work done by the owner who has no license.

I sent an email to John's Auto Center over the weekend and was not expecting a response until the…read morefollowing Monday. I was pleasantly surprised to receive a response within an hour. They were able to get my car looked at right away. Simon was so helpful and looked at my car the second I pulled in. He said that the condition of my car was great and that it seemed to be running smoothly. However, he agreed to put it up on the lift to do a general wellness check of the undercarriage of my car. After inspecting it (again, right away) he took me under the car to show me- he said that everything looked to be in great condition. The only thing he did point out was that my tires were needing to be replaced in the near future- and took the time to show me how to check the tire tread. He offered to give me a quote, although I felt no pressure from him to purchase the tires through him/at their shop. I really appreciated that Simon did not try to sell me some part that I didn't need, or to tell me that something should be fixed on my vehicle when everything looked great. Simon had such a genuine way about him, and I could tell that he was very honest and that I could trust him- which is huge! After asking him to look at the cabin filter, it DID need to be replaced- they didn't have one in stock- so Simon ran to the store and was back to replace it within 5 minutes! I was so pleasantly surprised. I was shocked when the general wellness check on my vehicle only cost $50! and he didn't even charge me for the cabin filter... If I had taken my vehicle to GMC, I for sure would have had to wait a week or two for an appointment, then they would certainly keep my vehicle for several days- and a wellness check would definitely cost upwards to $200. Needless to say- I will be doing ALL of my future motor / car needs to John's Auto Center!

However, at Skinny's I felt very comfortable expressing my concerns with my car and even though my original thought of the issue was wrong (serpentine belt replacement), they were able to correctly diagnose the problem (worn front brake pads) and then fix the problem in a timely manner.
