I hear rumors they may rebuild. Hope so. Anyhow, this library on Aaron St. is great and they have been busy trying to fill in for the the closed library. And I confess I love the FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY. I donate and buy many books from the used book stores by the libraries. I just read (from their used book store) the play A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE. I confess I never read it before and it was a fun fast read. Then I found the play on television and watched it. Loved them both.

This library is bustling almost the entire day, and is quite the hub in downtown Sebring. The WiFi is excellent here, and rarely slows down, making it a great place to work. The employees, however, are hit or miss... with some of my favorites coming from the younger ones. Also, the men's restroom door is somewhat damages and the bathroom could use some cleaning. The photos of sunsets are no joke, as the nearby pier and park both make for some absurdly beautiful sunsets and sunrises.

Everything from the layout to the very friendly and informed staff is great. I love the work tables/workstations for setting up my computer and working on my graphic arts business. The ambiance, layout, lighting, and traffic makes for a great balance between being able to concentrate and yet have the feeling of being surrounded by a nice buzz of quiet activity. The hours are good, though I miss the good old days when libraries were open late on Friday evenings, and some even open on Sunday afternoons.

I'm so glad I booked this tour! it was the highlight of our Florida trip. Our tour guide, Susan, was professional, knowledgeable, and full of humor. She made the entire experience both informative and relaxing. Ca' d'Zan is simply breathtaking. This stunning Mediterranean Revival mansion sits on the shores of Sarasota Bay and was built in the mid-1920s as the winter retreat of American circus magnate, entrepreneur, and art collector John Ringling and his wife, Mable Burton Ringling. Although the mansion is over 100 years old, it still radiates the glamour, elegance, and artistic vision of the Ringlings. Every room is filled with exquisite craftsmanship and thoughtful details that reflect their passion for art and architecture. One of my favorite features was the magnificent ceiling paintings by the Hungarian artist Willy Pogany. Each one tells a story from another era, preserving its beauty for generations to admire. Standing on the terrace overlooking Sarasota Bay, I couldn't help but be reminded of the atmosphere from the movie Great Expectations. There was something incredibly romantic, mysterious, and timeless about the view. To me, Ca' d'Zan feels alive. If you slow down and listen carefully, the mansion tells its own story. There is glamour. There is longing. There is sadness. There is hope. And somehow, there is a place for you within it. I absolutely fell in love with this place. Without a doubt, this was the best attraction we visited during our trip to Sarasota. I would highly recommend the Uncovering Ca' d'Zan Guided Tour to anyone visiting the area, and I will definitely return to explore the Museum of Art next time.

It is a little pricy but worth if you love art, the circus and beautiful places. We went to the house first and this is an amazing home. Beautiful use of color, marble and impressive architecture. Loved the window shapes, the floors and the attention to detail throughout the home. The view from the patio was amazing. The circus museum was informative. It was quite incredible the number of people it took to bring the circus to life. So spectacular . ..the shows, the animals and the presentation. The grill restaurant had delicious food with very pleasant staff. The gift shop was also amazing with unique toys and a nice selections of books about the Ringlung family. Lastly the art museum was breath taking with such beautiful Italian art. The courtyard also amazing. Loved this visit! We spent the entire day there with more to see. We plan to return to enjoy the new items under construction. We recommend a visit.

I agree with the people from Lee. I spent two years down there and used the south library off…read moreGladiolus (I believe it was on Bass.) and the north Fort Myers just over the Edison bridge. Unlike what is left of the Charlotte libraries, I never left a Lee county library empty handed. Unfortunately, I believe the reason for that is the difference in the size of the population. I'm sure Lee gets a much larger amount of funding. So much so that they have enough books to actually seperate them by type, making it easier to find what you're looking for. There is no excuse I can think of to not have a complete set of a series though. Has happened to me enough times that I no longer take out any part of a series. I tend to just be glad we have a library at all considering the state of things today. Overall I believe these people are doing the best they can with what they have to work with.

Just about anything I'm interested in reading is only available electronically. The Biographies and History sections are minimal. Fiction is no better - as an example, they'll have one book from a series of seven, maybe 3 books from a series of 15 and a 32-book series has only 10 books - and they're not in series order. Makes it frustrating.

The front has some amazing wooden doors - step inside to a landscaped court yard, and an open air covered reading room with free wireless. If you need to work away from home, this is the place to do so. Look carfeully, the building and courtyard are so well done, you might mistake this library for one of the near by homes. The library sits on a street that looks out to the ocean. Another cool thing to check out is the DuPont shell collection which is quite extensive and is on display in the court yard. We stopped by during the annual book sale and picked up some great books for less than a $1 each - some of the books looked like they had never been opened. 5 Stars for being a cool building, a free activity, a great place to read and having free wifi.
