The owners clearly anticipated the rush and had adjusted the menu--not in a limiting way, but to focus on their best dishes and keep the kitchen running smoothly. This is an on-the-water restaurant, so the vibe is relaxed and chill. There's seating for everyone--whether you walk up dressed for dinner or boat in wearing a swimsuit cover-up. Choose inside with AC or outside under ceiling fans. We started with cocktails, and the Bloody Mary was a meal in itself--loaded with bacon, beef stick, cheese stick, spicy pickled okra, pickles, celery, and olives. At our table, we ordered a variety: the grilled chicken sandwich, chicken quesadillas, pork chops, and chicken-fried steak--plus a trip to the salad bar, which is one of the best on the lake.
