I'm writing a review simply because I am appalled at the 2 reviews I read previously to my review. Don't get me wrong, but I don't allow negative reviews to dictate to me how I feel about an organization. I like to experience it for myself and make my own decision. First and foremost, I have experienced DWOC for myself, and have nothing negative to say about them. I was even a member at the church pastor Chad and Marla came from and went through a new believer's class under pastor Chad at the other church. I know from experience, these pastors are of God. I have frequented many churches in this area, as I have been in Killeen since 1975 and have not returned to many of them. DWOC is teaching BIBLE. I believe many people get so caught up in getting in good with the pastors that they have a tendency to forget the true reason for attending church. Pastors are merely shephards of the sheep, and leading their sheep is their primary job. If pastors aren't doing what people think they should be doing, it is not OUR worry, take it to GOD in prayer. I truly don't believe that GOD would bless pastor Chad so abundantly if he was not doing those things that are pleasing in his eyesight. Many talk about DWOC structually instead of realizing that if you serve GOD the way we should, we too, would be blessed accordingly. Why are so many fixated on the size of a building and it's interior decor when it has nothing with your salvation. SEEK YE FIRST THE KINGDOM, and all should be added unto you, TOO. Have you no knowledge of how GOD feels about you talking about HIS CHILDREN??? Does not the word speak of JUDGINIG?? We need to spend more time seeking GOD instead of concentrating on how DWOC is progressing. Pastor Chad and Marla can not take you to heaven or hell, they are simply there to lead us in the right direction by teaching the word, it's up to each individual to decide to accept Christ and whether or not you will live according to his plan. I know and have experienced GOD, therefore I know for myself he is real. It didn't take a pastor to do it either. The church is mainly to keep us on the right track and keep us around "like-minded" people. The bible says: "DON'T FORSAKE THE ASSEMBLY" for a reason. ALSO.....GOD has a place for everyone to worship....Did anyone pray about where the LORD wanted them to worship???? Did you forget that the LORD says to consult him in ALL THINGS???? May God richly bless those who don't agree to attend DWOC, but rather than defame the church, just agree to disagree and keep it movinig. I don't know if you know, but after every service, you are given a chance to meet with the pastor in a reception. If you need more, then try an appointment. Please realize, we are living in 2013, we are human, things happen, we wrestle with spiritual principalities and there is but ONE PERFECT ONE, and its not YOU nor the pastor or ME......calm down, keep your eye on the PRIZE and watch that unruly member of the body, the tongue. If you wrote it, I'm sure you spoke it......just a message basically to say......NOBODY IS PERFECT and we need to look at our own hearts before JUDGING. GOD BLESS US ALL!!! read more

Mark 16:17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In my name they will cast out demons; THEY WILL SPEAK WITH NEW TONGUES - - - - - - - Here, he is talking about everyone who believes in Jesus and receives him in his heart which gives us access to the holy spirit... and one of the gifts we all have access to is SPEAKING IN TONGUES and CASTING OUT DEMONS.... why would God limit his power to only some ppl? he wants to use us all for his will... and speaking in tongues is only beneficial for us to edify our mind and soul when it comes to understanding him Acts 2:4 And they were filled with the HOLY SPIRIT and began to speak with other tongues, as the SPIRIT GAVE THEM UTTERANCE. Acts 10:45-46 And those of the circumcision who believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because the GIFT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT HAD BEEN POURED ON THE GENTILES ALSO. FOR THEY HEARD THEM SPEAK WITH TONGUES AND MAGNIFY GOD. - - - - - - - - So the Holy Spirit which we receive as we accept God was poured on the Gentiles and they SPOKE WITH OTHER TONGUES. CLEARLY, SPEAKING IN TONGUES COMES FROM GOD AS YOU SAY READ HIS WORD... AND THIS IS WHAT HIS WORD SAYS. Can you argue against the Holy Spirit? Acts 13:6 And when Paul had laid hands on them, the Holy Spirit came upon them, and they spoke with tongues and prophesied. The Bible does say there will be false prophets but I'm pretty sure the false prophet is going to preach what the Bible doesn't say. read more

I love this church. I've been going here off & on since 2003 and the only reason I say off and on is because I've moved from Killeen quite a few times and any time I've moved, I've ALWAYS missed my church home. Streaming live services isn't the same for me so when I'd move back, I was glad to be able to be where my heart is. I've seen comments from previous members who have left for their own reasons and all I can say to you is... don't let someone else's negative review form your opinion. Try it first then go from there. Anywhere you go you're probably not going to like something... why? Because it's made of people and guess what? People aren't perfect! We all make mistakes, we've all fallen short but what I love about my Pastors and fellow church folks here is they still love no matter what. I've had my own personal experiences and shared personal things with Pastor Chad and other people within the church and haven't heard any of it floating around the church nor did they treat me any different. I felt their love even more! As long as you go to church expecting God to speak to you, He will. Don't go to any church looking for approval from anyone or anything. Don't go to any church thinking you have to give money to EVERY offering they're asking for. You do what God has asked you to do (tithe) and you'll be fine. And above all else, use your discernment. We've all been given that so use it. Be wise wherever you go and I'm just speaking from experience with other places I've been. I've been saved my whole life and grew up in a Christian home before I was even born :) So I've seen and heard it all. No matter what you've done or said, you can never lose God's love for you. My family and I have been attending Destiny for about 5-6 months and we love it! We feel welcomed, at home, and loved! The church is very organized and staff are very kind. Pastor Chad speaks about real issues and even shares his life experiences with the church family supported by scriptures in the Bible. I have seen great things that Destiny has done for the community and not only for the church. They have had food drives to give to people in the community, special gift boxes for mother's on mothers day, father's day gifts, celebrate recovery (12 step meetings for anyone who has issues with addictions..whatever those may be) and much more. After every service Pastor Chad waits in the front of the church outside to meet any members who would like to speak to him. My husband and I are joining the church and taking growth track classes and that is where you learn more about what the church is doing for each other and the community. On Wed. they have awesome life group classes (the groups meet all over the city so you can find a group close to your home) and help you connect with more people in the church and have bible study. The kids church is amazing. My boys who range from 11-16 love their youth group Surge and actually want to be there. I don't have to drag them to go...they are on me to take them and be sure I drop them off early...lol read more

The pastors are a gift from God and could have chose anywhere on the map to minister. Yet they chose to stay in Killeen and help others grow, iron sharpens Iron. Destiny World Outreach Center name speaks for itself. They reach out to those who want to be touched and get into the hearts of those being rebellious with God. Most churches do not grow but they do every year and want the people attending to grow also. Grow spiritually by having a open mind and open heart ready to receive. Nothing is staged but everything is organized. No one is perfect except Jesus but we are to strive for perfection. Therefore perfection is what you see starting from the music department to all the ministry. They speak straight from the Bible then relate it to their own personal experience. These pastors genuinely care about people and want nothing but the best for others. All churches pass the bucket around multiple times during service. Destiny does not beat around the bush with why people should tithe. Most churches I encounter have not changed after years.Destiny continues to grow with member numbers and ideas that will appeal to people that are weary with faith. I have been going to Destiny for about 11 years, my husband got saved in this church. We have Pastors that follow the Bible and try to do everything in excellence. Our worship team is awesome, they lead us into worship so that our hearts, soul and mind is ready to receive God's word. Destiny has the best childcare, the children that come never want to leave, they get the word of God broken down to their level so when they leave they have learnt something. Destiny offers " Surge" for 6th grade to12th grade then Flare for our young adults. Once a year Destiny does "Feed the 5K", this is where we give out food to the community. The first year we fed over 5 thousand and the second year over 11,000. Then we have Compassion where twice a week we have a team that gives out food at the church. We have a lot of activities at the church that do require funds to make it all happen. I am truly blessed to have a Pastors like Chad and Marla Rowe. Let's be real, every church is not for everybody but everybody should have a relationship with God and fellowship with other Christians. Destiny provides that for me. Also remember every church has issues if you look hard enough, even Destiny. I can tell you this I have witnessed in my life a complete turnaround in my marriage, my faith and my relationship with God. Their are many at Destiny that have testimonies of what God has done through the worship, teaching and preaching of God's word. Destiny's Compassion ministry, numerous support of local churches and giving to outreach ministries all over the world is what does it for me. I love the Pastor and his heart for people, most negative reviews here are due to who they engaged, remember we all are human and all have bad days. I think Pastor Chade is one of the most dynamic pastors around. He not only teaches the word of God he has taught me in services the master Key to all Gods promises is faith. Great man, great heart, and a true Man of God! Regarding the review i read from 6/26 - Scripted ? Thats the most unethical thing I have evert read, you should know what you are saying before you say it, you know the bible says he without sin cast the first stone! Learn honor, and I have personally spoke to Pastor after service and I am no different than you, maybe you are speaking about the wrong church. This is the most real church I've ever been to. From the moment I walked in the doors and was greeted, to being able to go to guest services with any questions and being greeted with a smile and a "how can I help you?" The children's ministry is seriously unlike anything I've ever seen in a church before. There's a cafe up stairs that serves full breakfast and lunch which is great! Then, the service! The best part. The praise and worship was incredible and the Word was the most amazing! The Pastor isn't afraid to speak the Word straight from God's Word, all while making it relevant to everyday life situations. He and his wife also greet the visitors face to face after each service. I can't say enough great things. If you're looking for a church for you and your first Family, I highly recommend this one!!! read more

Amazing church! The people are amazing, the worship is amazing, and the pastors are beyond amazing! I love it because God's Word is the foundation. I love how the pastors are so real and transparent. The helped me to see that I wasn't the only one going through it. They also showed me how to stand on God's word through their preaching and teaching, while going through a storm. If you want a church that is diverse, loving, and all about God and siritual growth, THIS IS THE CHURCH FOR YOU. If you have kids, they will.love kid world. They have fun and learn about God. My kids get upset when its time to go home lol. I'm happy to call Destiny World Outreach Center my church home! Destiny is a great church that really understands what people need. From old to young, from families to singles and people from all different walks of life I watched them reach out to people in a real and tangible way. The music is very good and they have a very nice Starbucks coffee cafe available. There is a wonderful children's facility that kids never seem to want to leave. The youth ministry is very effective with teens. The teaching is clear and easy to understand. Pastors Chad and Marla Rowe come across as very real and genuine and have a true heart to help people. I am so glad that I checked out this church, I was very impressed with it the first time I went and have been blessed by it ever since. read more

If you want to stretch and grow than this is the place for you. I love how Pastor Chad is transparent and practical in his preaching. His love for Christ and his family is evident. There is no perfect church or people but they are real and a loving church family. One service is not going to give you a solid foundation to determine if this church family is for you. We have been attending Destiny over 2 years, and our family has grown mentally, spiritually, and gain God confidence in our daily walk in our Faith! We have five boys and Destiny children's church has helped our family by showing love on them on a constant basis when my husband has been deployed or training in order to serve our country. read more

Your reading this because your trying to make a decision whether to attend. Searching for a church can be difficult and nerve wrecking. It is a very important decision because it pertains to your eternal life. With that being said, I strongly suggest you personally attend a service and let the Spirit guide you. Personal preferences or someone's bad experience should not influence anyone. I even believe all the extras (bookstore, cafe, etc...) shouldn't either. This has been my church home since October of 2002. The word of God is taught in a very simple way of understanding. I'm from Germany, and if I can understand it, anybody can. Pastors Chad and Marla Rowe care for the people, and want everyone to spend eternity in Heaven. There is a place for anyone here, ministries to connect to, relationships to build. They have changed my life, and I don't know where I would be today without them. I love my Pastors and my Church. There is no better place, and we are multiracial here. Destiny is an incredible church and outreach center for anyone to find Jesus! Pastor Chad is very real and down to earth and truly has a heart for the lost. The worship is the absolute best. KidsWorld is the place for your child to find a real relationship with Jesus. The Surge Youth is a place that equips teenagers to live for God and be an example. I absolutely love this Church. Everything from the facility, to the music the message, everything is just awesome. My kids (7,8,11) can't wait to get to church. Pastor's Chad and Marla are sincere and love the people. Its nice to have the option of 3 services on Sunday. 9,11 and 1.
