Here on in Mechanicsburg, Shiny Shell is the newest and the third car wash to open with the 2 mile stretch on Carlisle Pike. And the other two are national/regional chains as well; namely, Cloud 10 and Mod Wash. I've had my cars washed in all 3 facilities. Even though Cloud 10 has the most clout & presence, Shiny Shell in my opinion has the most utilitarian value. I gave it a try during the pre-opening weekend on 9/21/24 (officially opens on 9/24/24). From the get-go, the camera deciphered my license plate, identified me as a member, and automatically opened the gate. Also, unique only at Shiny Shell: 1. I was given a dashboard wiping pack in addition to the customary air freshener upon check in. 2. There are 2 different vacuum nozzles: a standard one and a small one for hard to reach areas. 3. There is a faucet in the member lounge where I can wash my hands (listen up Cloud 10 & Mod Wash). 4. There is a complimentary fountain drink station in the member lounge for customers. 5. Work-in-progress: a play area for kids while you do the vacuuming and wiping. These added values are enough for me to bump up my rating to 5. PS. I do notice that the car aren't as dry the moment the car leaves the tunnel, but that's a small miss.

Dennis took care of us today and was so professional and efficient and our car looks almost like when we bought it at the dealership!! Took about 40 minutes for him to hand wash the outside as well as vacuum the inside - and HE ORGANIZED FOR US!! They used Armor All throughout the inside and our windows are spotless which is a task since our dog left nose marks all over them!! We had caked on bugs from a long road trip and they are all gone and not a speck of dirt left from our camping trip!! Absolutely amazing!! $50 for all of this - and hands down worth it!!
