I was not happy about this at all - I wanted a quick fix to be pain free and thought (naively) that surgery was the answer. I live close to Spectrum, so based on physical proximity (and the recommendation of a friend) I made an appointment with Corey. Long story short, I am in 95% less pain, sleep all night through again, and have far more range of motion than I did a few months ago. Therapy is as much fun as working hard can be, but we DO laugh (often) and I AM so much better than I was. The facility is clean, well-lit, and the bathroom is clean, too. It's not. The first one retired. I stuck with the second one for 10 years and since moving it is a 45 minute drive and some times of day the traffic can be a problem. That's why I went to Connaughty. I have been twice and am very happy with the results. The first night after treatment I could sleep without excruciating pain, some pain still but I could sleep. We are using Active Release Technology and muscle stimulation. Dr. Connaughty is personable and explains things very well. The stim technician obviously knows her job as this is the first time I could feel the result of treatment. She got the right placement of the leads and the right intensity to start with. When speaking to the office manager this morning explaining that the Dr. that referred me had 100% of the information that they were asking me to provide them, I said, "Well that's f-ing stupid." The office manager said that I swore. If I had sworn, I'd have said FUCK. Now that she's all twisted, she is saying that I cannot receive care at their facility. Fuck them.
