I think it is one of the most attractive complexes in Columbia with lots of green space and it's not too big, which I liked. They allow cats with a deposit. The management is responsive when repairs are needed. Matt is always so friendly and gets the job done promptly. My home is adorable and I will miss it. The location is great, with grocery stores, parks, and the ARC. It is within biking distance to downtown and the University and not too far from the trail access at College Park and Stadium. After the person ripped a toilet from the floor and flooded the downstairs apartment, threw cinder blocks through windshields, and went into nearby building while high and broke out hallway lights.This person wasnt even the person on the lease and could have been kicked out immediately but he waited like 8 months even after complaints and issues and then started the eviction notice. Also never thought to put non slip tape on metal stairs that amounted to basically fire escape stairs, fell down the steps (while wearing tennis shoes and not running) and busted tailbone (still have pain 3 years later) and then when this was explained to the office and a request for grip tape put in-it took 6 weeks. Decent rent price, but just beware. Only really good points are that they are pet friendly, many of their units are close to downtown, and the maintenance guy is pretty helpful. Front office is pretty shoddy.

I got my deposit check back a few weeks later and it was for only $90 dollars. my total security deposit when I moved in was $805. They charged me $595 dollars for turning my keys in late after they had ALREADY changed the locks and deactivated the garage door opener. No one should ever lease with them. It has to be by far the worst company in Jefferson City and that's saying a lot. I could understand possibly prorating until the 5th, but Mark thought differently. I WARN you, don't lease with them.

Capitol City takes dogs...they should apologize to the dogs! Money grabbing petty crooks. They got a regular deposit, pet deposit and I got my keys. I didn't go into the unit until after I signed the lease. OMG! It reeked of cigarette smoke and mold! It was disgusting! The mini blinds were not cleaned, the windows didn't fit, the bathtub looked like they had a methlab cooking in there, and the heating and cooling wall unit was blowing out dirt. Days after I moved in, I got curious and found that the air filter probably had never been washed! I washed it...it helped, but after 3 weeks, I got an electric bill for $97 for a 600 sq. ft. apartment. The property manager didn't even know where the mailbox to my unit was. I looked all over and found large pitt bulls running without a leash on the lawn. Unfortunately, my job was almost as bad as the apartment, and I had to get out of there. I got bullied by a co-worker and she was wand so tight, I was afraid she'd go postal. So, after three weeks living in that fly infested hell hole, I quit my job and informed the manager that I would turn in my keys and clear out. I knew they would keep my security deposit...I broke the lease. However, more than a month later, I got a bill in the mail from these Aholes stating that I owed another $25 for extra cleaning on the carpet! Are you kidding? That place was cleaner when I moved out, and I do not believe that the rug had been steam cleaned at all in the first place. I have pictures of some bad walls, bathtub grime, and other problems on floors, baseboards and walls. Oh, and the entry door looked like someone shot it with bullets! Also, the top step was replaced by a piece of wood that did not match the same dimensions as the other stairs. I was so glad to get back to my condo! DO NOT EVER GET ONE OF THEIR APARTMENTS!!!

Sam manages and now owns At Home Real Estate property management and rentals in Fulton as well as the historic Seminole Apartment Complex. Sam's interest, knowledge and compassion toward the tenant residents he works with is priceless! Totally warms my heart! But it is his standards of quality and ethical business practices with these tenants as well as the property owners for whom he manages that absolutely defines him. I am IMPRESSED! When we fist toured the apartment we thought it would be a nice place to live. Better than some we…read morelooked at but more expensive than others. Hardwood floors will never be clean. Sweep and mop too often and all you'll do is stain the floor. The finish peels off the floor with ANY cleaner you can find. Especially with cleaner made for hardwood floors. The common areas are horrible. Insects are a huge problem and our neighbors would leave trash in the stairwell that would stay there for weeks. No assigned parking unless you pay for the dilapidated car ports in the rear of the complex but they looked like more of a liability to collapse on our cars than to provide protection. Parking wasn't too bad, until the vacant apartments next to us filled up, then we had to park around the block. And our cars were bumped, banged and scratched half a dozen times while parked next to our building. There are no washer dryer hookups in the units, but there is an on site laundry facility... more or less. You have to put through extremely small loads.. and dry everything twice... and then hang it over the shower rod. I hope you like damp jeans... Our neighbor across the hall had her boyfriend live there and he dealt drugs. I use past tense because the cops came for him and now he doesn't live there anymore. She still does, even though when we complained to the landlord about the constant dope smell in the hall and the horns honking at 2 in the morning and loud altercations that sprawl out into the street. The landlord told us not to worry that they were being evicted. Ah ha ha... the guy in the office gets bent out of shape over things and huffs and puffs but never does anything about it. Except write passive aggressive letters about your dog apparently being the reason your bathroom shower leaks, and not the rotten caulking around the tub... So if you like living in a dirty building, drive a beater you don't mind getting dinged up a little more and want an easy walk to score some weed, than this is the place for you. Oh and they have pretty ceiling fans.

They provided inaccurate mailing address so I had to stop payment on my check twice and pay fees for that. Mike still charged me late fees due to him not providing a good mailing address. My sibling has rented here for 18 yrs and never once had any landlord issues until Mike/Christine took over. Mike also doesn't have adequate help around the facility. Therefore, he is basically trying to conduct all repairs and upgrades to the facility himself; which takes him forever to get around to. He's cheap and is trying to save money and do the work himself. I'd recommend anyone that is thinking of renting an apartment from the owner of Camelot Apartments not to.You will be very disappointed if you do.
