I rarely write reviews, but after living here for a year, I feel obligated to share my experience…read morebecause future residents deserve to know what they're signing up for. The floor plans and photos online are misleading. For example, the "Juliette balcony" is not a balcony at all -- it's just a screened door with a gate outside. If you expect your apartment to look like the pictures, make sure to ask for clarification before signing. When I moved in, the unit had not been cleaned and was left exactly as the previous resident had it. A vendor admitted days later that they had never serviced the apartment. On top of that, the refrigerator burned out on my first day. When I leaned against it, I was shocked badly enough to leave me shaken -- yet maintenance dismissed it as "just a shock" instead of an electrocution. Regardless of terminology, this is unacceptable in an apartment at this price point. To make matters worse, the unit was infested with ants, including in my bed. I eventually transferred to another unit that actually had a balcony like the ones advertised online. Management, however, failed to tell me that my $200 security deposit would not transfer -- they simply applied it to the new lease, and I never saw it again. Another major concern was my privacy. Five days before my lease ended, vendors entered my apartment without my knowledge to "prepare" it for the next tenant. I only discovered this because they left a Starbucks cup on my counter. The thought of strangers being in my home, with access to all my belongings, while I was still living there is extremely unsettling and irresponsible. Community-wide issues are constant. Management regularly sends emails complaining about loud music and a pervasive weed smell throughout the property. The valet trash service is unreliable, leaving garbage piled up and making the complex reek. The pool is often closed because residents bring in children who aren't potty trained. The mail setup is another nightmare. Packages are delivered to an outdoor hallway with no cameras, making theft easy. I personally had an Amazon package rifled through, along with several others, before the office finally stepped in. By then, items were already scattered and tampered with. Overall, this complex is mismanaged, unprofessional, and unsafe. Between the misleading advertising, poor maintenance, privacy violations, community issues, and lack of security, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere before signing a lease here.

I did not feel safe in my apartment, much less walking around with my toddler, and I carried mace everywhere I went. I informed the office staff the first time we encountered this person and was told it would be taken care of. Nothing was done and his anger continued to build, this man was TOTALLY off his rocker, until he threatened to KILL my husband. We called the police, got a police report, and again informed the office. We were told the man would have to leave. He never did. The police told us they knew this man and had previous run ins with him. We ended up having to break our lease and move because we felt so unsafe. We informed the office over a month prior to our leaving. The apartment was totally empty and cleaned. We paid over $600 because we moved out on the 5th of July. We paid for rent and services for those days. I spoke with the higher ups (Lynn Mauldin) and gave her all of the documentation of the police report. After that point, she wouldn't return any calls or emails from me. She turned over a balance to collects, of over $3000, the amount of time it took them to rent our apartment. My husbands life was threatened. I guess that doesn't suffice breaking your lease. Just want to keep this relevant. This place is a nightmare. Someone was shot and killed on their patio. Office personnel changes several times throughout the year! Beware!!

My sister and my 2 nieces are residents of your community, and I visit them very frequently. For the past couple of months, I've noticed that my sister and the girls seem to be a little more comfortable moving around in the complex, and it's all thanks to your maintenance man, Mr. James. You can tell that he is (or was at some point in his life) a family man, and really cares about people. It's demonstrated in his behaviors and the way that he carries himself when he encounters others. I don't know him on a personal level; however, I have had the pleasant opportunity of meeting him and understanding why they praise him the way they do. One particular evening when I was visiting my sister, I stayed a little longer than I originally planned to. As you can imagine, it was quite dark and since I was parked a decent distance from her building, I wasn't comfortable walking by myself. As luck would have it, Mr, James just so happened to be cleaning up around the trash compactor at the time. My sister called him over and asked if he wouldn't mind walking me to my car. With absolutely no hesitation he agreed, and was 110% a gentleman, and I felt so relieved that I wasn't by myself. The little kids around there really like him and are excited when they see him moving around the complex. He goes above and beyond for them, doing little things like buying candy, popsicles, snacks, and things that they would be interested in. Again, these are the praises that the babies in the community are singing about him. It really says something about his character and the kind of man that he is. I can't say thank you enough to him because it's "home" for them. It might just be "his job" but at the end of the day, you can see that he takes it very seriously and is not afraid to stand up for that. I wish we had more men of his generation, to show these young guys coming up, what it's like to be a real man. KUDOS, MR, JAMES...keep up the awesome work, it doesn't go unnoticed.

And contacting their corporate office did not help. They don't even respond. From the start I've had issues with roaches and rats. Also the insulation in the place is not the best. My light bill is high every month since I've been here and I am a person who is very cognizant of things like that. The place needs major updating. The only benefit to the place is the garage and the small back porch but for the money they charge it's not worth it if you have to deal with constant roach and rat problems. I'm a very clean person and it has bothered me since I moved here. But I had no choice but to stay. I'm in the process of looking for another place.I've also spent about a thousand dollars buying storage containers to keep my things in so the roaches don't get into my nice things. One of the rats chewed up some of my items and management didn't do anything to compensate me for them. So again if you are looking for clean and updated. This is not the place. I have went in office to ask questions and nobody knows the answer, went in office twice and a staff member kid was running wild and another one of this same staff members family was laying on the couch with her feet hanging over the arm rest, this staff member could not even answer me she was so distracted unprofessional!!!!! The assistant manager the longest staying staff member use to be so professional, This pass couple of weeks we have been having repairs to our roof , so the parking has been terrible, I usually park across from my building in the 200 building spaces, but due to me getting off late that night it was not any spaces so I park on the opposite side of the 300 building, keep in mind the last message I received in my email was on 06/12 about 100 building parking. Tell me why they had my car towed to ward street I had to pay $ 290 for my car. Keep in mind we had work done a while back and they towed people cars to the other side of the parking lot not to ward street. My neighbor said they sent out a text but I DID NOT get one isn't that funny, I did get a email but I don't check my email like that. I have been here 5 years this June and I know the assistant manager knows my car why not call me and the have my tag number in my file, they know I don't break the rules on purpose . This was done on purpose and I do not find it funny at all!!!! This is the last straw I got to go soon!!! Just be mindful before moving here!!!

A month ago I'd have given Ingleside a one star review, but in the past two weeks, a new property owner and new management company have taken over. Now under new management, Sage at Ingleside seems like they are turning over a new leaf. Our maintenance concern, ignored for days by the previous maintenance team, was taken care of right away by Justin from the new team. Courtney in the leasing office has been very helpful, professional, and friendly in all of our interactions with her. The property has had quite the glow up in just over a week, with a new lawn care crew who actually mow, a team of arborists cutting back tree limbs, which has never been done, and renovation starting on the older apartments that have not yet been upgraded. We are very excited for the new changes coming, and I hope the enthusiasm of the new owner/management continues!

The bathroom counters are so high and the toilets are so small. The paint on the inside doors is so thick the doors stick. They have 3 maintenance guys here for a small place, they have a lock on the trash compactor and so much for a gated community the gate is never closed. For the price of rent it should be better than what I am paying for. I asked to have the lock looked at so the door would close they came looked and that was it. The only thing I can say is that it's a quiet place.
