Popped in here last Sunday morning for a quick bite to eat and the place was absolutely pumping. Every man and his dog seemed to be in there eating breakfast or buying takeaway baked goods. Despite the long queues, the wait was negligible. I think being jam-packed is a regular occurrence for these guys so they've got it down pat - plenty of staff, two tills....nailing it. The bakery itself is pretty big with plenty of outdoor seating lining the street. And the selection of food...Oh my goodness! Row upon row of baked goods, breads and sweet treats. Impossible to choose. Perhaps that is why I rookie'd out and ordered vegetarian frittata, which was massive but lacked flavour (S+P badly needed!) and was well overcooked. Will be back to try their pies soon.

    Called the Blat, its $8.50.

Place was really busy, was on a public holiday though. Foods pretty good and it's a cool little place close to the main esplanade. Had a great range of food and drinks and it's all pretty reasonably priced. My criticism is around their smoothies, I ordered a berry smoothly and it tasted completely fake and watery, I complained and they swapped it for a banana smoothie which tasted even worse. Be aware of the smoothies. Note there is a 15% surcharge on public holidays.

This is literally my favourite place to go when I go to Devonport! The food is always fresh and even though it looks small from the outside, when you walk in there's LOTS of space. Less than 5 minutes walk from the ferry building (and a minute from the library), the Stone Oven offers fresh food, great coffee and friendly staff. They saved my life - let's just say talking and eating at the same time isn't a good idea

I was invited to a breakfast here yesterday. And I was surprised at the amount of food for the big breakfast. It was so much I couldn't even finish the whole plate. If you have seen my other review photos. I pride myself of my massive appetite. But, it's no match for the scramble eggs, toasts, grill tomato, fried mushroom, bacon, sausages and a steak on my plate at the stone oven. Not only it was a huge portion, it was also very delicious. So for the price, it's 5 stars. Highly recommend anyone to go and check it out. Two thumbs up.

The ambiance was vibey and loved that I was sitting outside, but still covered from the sun. The waiters were so nice and were able to answer any questions I had. I ordered an iced hazelnut oatmilk latte and a fried chicken benedict and they were delicious! The latte was the perfect drink to wake me up for a busy day ahead! They definitely do eggs benedict different but it was still so tasty. Instead of the usual english muffin, they used an herb rostis, which is a crispy hash brown round. The fried chicken was juicy and crispy. The herb rostis was also crispy and paired well with the creamy poached eggs! I miss this meal so much and dreaming of having this again the next time I go back to Auckland!

I love that they offered both still water or sparkling for the table. I ordered the salmon benedict and it was delicious! Their menu offers gluten free as well as dairy free options. Vegetarian or vegan? They have options for you too. I ordered an Americano and it was full bodied and came in a large mug. I only wish we'd had more time in Auckland so I could come here again.
