The last time that I took my ring in to get it cleaned, they gave me free at home jewelry cleaner/soak. I guess they could tell that I had ran out of it by the condition and dirtiness of my rings. The service is always friendly and I am greeted promptly when I arrive. They are in a convenient location in the mall and I never feel pressured to buy something. I walked into this store hoping to get some work done on a ring that my parents originally purchased here 30 years ago. My fiancé proposed with my moms ring and I knew I wanted to make new some how. that could be a band that could fit Or making something custom. I was told first my whole ring needed to be rebranded. I was told nothing new would fit. That just wouldn't work. From the moment I walked in I felt uncomfortable and unwanted in the store. When getting an explanation about why certain things wouldn't work it was just flat out the tone that started to turn me off from wanting to buy here. When my mom asked about her diamond warranty the sales man jumped the gun and told her he has no record from before the flood. Little did he know it was after. Whole thing was off so we left I went to jarred in Roseville and was met with a smile and amazing customer service. I told them I wanted a custom band and they asked why and asked it I ever thought of trying the original options I wanted to look into.! I needed up finding the perfect diamond enhancement band and will have my ring in five days. read more

I have a 0.5 ct Russian Alexandrite ring I took in to have Devons Jewelers re-size to fit my finger. I also had their "licensed" gemologist give me a verbal appraisal. I already knew my ring is worth several thousands of dollars being I already had it appraised and it is insured but I wanted to hear their opinion. (It's nice to have a second opinion) When I picked up my ring he gave me a verbal appraisal telling me my ring was only worth $195.00!!!! I looked at everyone there and laughed. He must have received his gemologist license from a cracker jack box. I got my ring payed the money for it to be re-sized and left. I was going to buy a diamond ring from them but never mind. Being my ring already has it's appraisal, certificate, and is insured I know what I have, however, I don't think he has ever seen a Russian Alexandrite before. He tried to tell me the ring looked fake and was too light of a color (duh it is not lab created nor from Brazil) when in reality, my gem has a 98.2% color change which is extremely rare. These people had no idea they were handling one of the most precious gem stones and most rare in the world. He is supposed to be licensed, I think not. What an insult. I will never come here again! HOWEVER, they did do a good job a re-sizing the ring! I just felt very insulted. read more
