Shawna helped me design a custom ring using diamonds from a 50 yo heirloom wedding ring. She was extremely perceptive, taking note of the way I dressed, the other jewelry I wore regularly, and picking up on the way subtle details in my personality might translate into the design of the piece. She brought to my attention specific structural concerns through the process that I would not have known to consider, all while finding a way to maintain the visual aspects I wanted included. She picked up on the fact that I am a visual learner and always had pieces from Poole's collection on hand to help me picture the end result. In the end, I have a ring that perfectly suits me, while honoring the memory of the person who owned it originally. The ring looks like magic, like fairy's created it with tiny fingers. I brought my ring in to be re-sized and the employees were very nice. The store itself was beautiful and they have a great selection of jewelry. I was told their in-house jeweler was out and they would have to send my ring out to be sized which would be about 3 weeks. No problem. Unfortunately, it took almost a month and a half and they were not good about communicating. I had to call and email them multiple times to get updates. Moreover, I was told there was a delay in shipping my ring out so who knows how long it sat there. That said, when I got my ring back it was gorgeous and fit perfectly. I'm not thrilled with my experience and I definitely won't take my jewelry to be worked on there but I may purchase from them in the future. read more

I called the store on a Saturday, to ask if the jeweler takes out watch links. I got a machine, and left my name and number, along with my question. I received a call back on Monday, and promptly went in! I was greeted by Shawna. I told her why I was there, and she got the attention of the jeweler. He came out and looked at the watch on my wrist, and immediately went to work on it. While waiting, Shawna offered me something to drink, and she put my information in their system. We chatted while I waited for my watch. She was super friendly and personable. And there was a dog behind the counter!!!! Best surprise of the visit! By the time my info was in the computer, and my service rang up, the jeweler came out with my watch and links in a small bag. It fit perfectly! Shawna said that I am welcome to come back and have the watch adjusted if I find it uncomfortable, or whatnot. That's a pretty nice addition to this service. My husband and I got my wedding set sized and soldered. When we picked them up the rings were smooth and thinner rather thick and grooved as they were intended to be. When we brought this up they told us that the grooves were never there. They showed us a picture of the rings that were clearly shaved but try pass this off as a before picture taken when we dropped them off. She asked us what we would like her to do. We asked her to return the rings to there original state. She refused and instead offered a refund. We would have pushed harder for a correction but for fear of the rings being tampered further we decided to take it to a more reputable jeweler. This was a terrible experience. Shawna graciously greeted me as I walked thru the door. I had my wedding ring with me to have it resurfaced, cleaned and polished as well as a once over on the diamonds and band. Shawna pointed out that the band had cracked at the sight of a previous sizing 12 years ago at another jeweler's. She assured me that it could be fixed and the resurface would make it look new again. When I inherited a ring from my Mom, a ring that was made from my Dad's mothers wedding ring diamonds, I wanted to customize the stones into a ring that fit my taste. I went to Poole's and they helped me pick out a new setting I liked that would accommodate the diamonds.
