The breakfast buffet is avaiable from 9 until 2pm so if you are not an early bird and like to sleep in, this is the place to catch a delayed but "delicious" breakfast. The buffet features a rich variety of turkish dishes, both warm and cold. Turkish pastries with fillings, salad, goat cheese, cold cuts, olives and veggies, butter, chocolate spread, honey and jam, milk + cereal, a traditional turkish salad called "Bulgur" (very tasty with parsley and some sort of boiled grain), fried broccoli and potato, mushrooms, scrambled egg with sausage, traditional turkish hot dish called "Menemen" (something with eggs, bell pepper, onion and tomato, similar to salsa but not spicy), several spread/mousse of which one is called "Ezme" and is very spicy yet delicious. There were other dishes which I did not try out but looked very appetizing. Along with the buffet comes unlimited turkish tea which is brewed fresh and filled in a large thermos jug, some people were also drinking juice, soft drinks and coffee are also available but might not be included in the buffet. The place is more crowded on weekends. I do recommend a reservation in advance for groups of +3 people although I have seen some walk-in´s which did not appear to have an advance reservation (neither did I). As for demographics, you will find all sorts of people of all ages frequenting this location, families with children, business men, couples, groups of guys/girls. 4 Stars for the breakfast and +1 Star for the amazing hospitality I have experienced.

All sorts of lahmacuns, be them Urfa, Antep or Findik, are very crispy, hearty and tasty as they should be. The amount of onion in Urfa lahmacun and amount of garlic in Antep is very balanced. Icli koftes are highly recommended, too. Even though pides taste good as well, they are one class below lahmacuns and contain too much fat in my opinion. Desserts you could order at the end, including baklava, kadayif and sekerpare, are always fresh and tasty, as they are brought from the konditorei owned by Kilim the next door. Considering all these points, again, Kilim is THE BEST place to taste the genuine Southeastern Anatolian food inspired by Kurdish, Arabic and Turkish cultures, located in Mülheim, Cologne. It's a sandwich with spicy marinated veal, fried in a special pan, and served on a long bread roll with fresh herbs. There simply is nothing to compare it with. The portion was big, so if you usually have smaller portions then you better share it with someone. I was sharing it with a friend, and so we also had a lahmacun there. I was not very satisfied with their lahmacun, although it is much better than most fast food places - not that this is a fast food place at all, indeed it is a proper restaurant. I would have liked to have lavas bread (thin durum like bread) instead of fladenbrot with the dips as starters - the thicker fladenbrot kills some of the appetite especially considering the size of the beyti kebab.
