But having been in Europe for 4 months and comparing it with other German bakeries, I can't say it's any better than just okay. It's huge, and mostly self-serve, which is just bizarre, and the service that exists is not very attentive or helpful. Once I discovered Cafe Mehr just a block away, I haven't been back to Gilgen's. Why settle for okay when outstanding is just down the street?
