But if you have any characteristics that don't look like you stepped out of the 1940s or earlier they may try and destroy you. They have an inordanent preoccupation with rules. According to the 'church' that runs the place you are not allowed to eat meat, you are not allowed to drink any alcohol, you are not allowed to eat pickles, masterbation causes tuberculosis, mental retardation, blindness, and death. The list goes on. Their beliefs and actions are a mix of ninteenth century superstition and Victorian ethics. They also engage in religious nepotism, giving preference in hiring and school admissions to Adventists. So when you encounter someone who is seriously incompetent most times they are Adventists. They also reserve all supervisory jobs for church members. As a rule, the most qualified people are the non-Adventists. Now when I first got involved with this group though I wasn't an Adventist, I was nievely Sympathetic with their views. However, I came to realize that Seventh Day Advetism is a cult of Christianity These people have done an incalculable amount of damage to my life. They have thrown me under the bus many times, and not in small ways but in life shattering ways. I am far worse off now than I was before I got involved with these people. I have been involved in several institutions and this place is by far the worst. It is particularly hypocritical that they have a statue of the 'Good Samaritan' on grounds. The main point of the Good Samaritan story is that we should be charitable toward others, especially those of different ethnic, cultural, and religious backgrounds. Samaritans and Jews were especially antagonistic toward each other, so although Jesus was talking to Jews it is noteworthy that he made the protagonist, the good guy, to be a Samaritan. The point of this story is lost upon most of the Adventists at this institution. My advice to you is to look for another hospital / teaching hospital / medical program / allied health clinics . Irvine might be a good choice.

It is known for its large Adventist hospital system and its public university campus--Loma Linda University Medical Center, where we came over the weekend of Memorial Day for my partner's son's graduation ceremonies.  That Friday evening, a doctoral hooding ceremony took place, recognizing the achievements of students who have earned a doctorate or final master's degree. It marked the end of doctoral studies and the transition from student to colleague. During the ceremony, each candidate is individually introduced, and their faculty mentor (his father) placed their hood on them in front of the stage. That Sunday, the commencement ceremony was held outside under overcast conditions. Take pride in how far you've come. Have faith in how far you can go. My first impression came from my admissions advisor, Kareem. He was incredibly informative, helped me gather everything I needed to make a solid decision, and kept a great sense of humor throughout the process. To my dismay, the financial aid office did seem a bit overwhelmed and disorganized. However, they were still able to assist me as long as I made an appointment in advance. I decided to enroll in the Vocational Nursing program. To be completely transparent, I wasn't entirely satisfied with every single instructor. But overall, it's a great program, and the teachers who go above and beyond--like Dr. Kailub and Mr. Arroyo--really make all the difference. Some administrators go out of their way to help, too. I have an incredible amount of respect for Dr. Shirley; she puts in so much work to ensure her VN students excel, no matter what hurdles come their way. Last but far from least is Gale Wasif, the Director of Nursing. I have immense appreciation for her because she consistently helped me realize that the "mountains" in my way were really just molehills at the end of the day. Life doesn't stop just because you're in school, and neither do the obstacles. Having a team of teachers, administrators, and a DON who truly care about your future is imperative for success in a fast-paced, accelerated nursing program. I'm incredibly grateful to have found that support system at Concorde Career College.

Graduating from the Dental Hygiene program was one of the most rewarding accomplishments of my…read morelife. The program is demanding and requires a strong commitment, but every challenge was worth it in the end. The director of the DH program and instructors truly want their students to succeed and were always supportive, encouraging, and available whenever guidance was needed. The curriculum and clinical experience helped me build confidence, strengthen my skills, and prepare for real-life experiences in the dental field. There were definitely difficult moments along the way, but the program pushed me to grow into a capable and knowledgeable clinician. I'm very thankful for everything I learned and for the support system the program provided throughout the journey. I'm proud to have been part of this program and would highly recommend it to anyone pursuing a career in dental hygiene.

On August 26, I called the school specifically to confirm the start date, class hours, and lunch schedule. During that conversation, I was not informed that the class had been canceled or that there were any issues with the scheduled start date. When I arrived at the San Bernardino campus on August 31, the building was closed, the lights were off, and no staff members were present. There was also a Southern California Edison "Final Call" notice posted on the door regarding the electric service. I have included a photo of the notice with this review. Seeing an electric-service notice posted on the door of a career college where I was supposed to begin my education was very concerning. Combined with the canceled class and lack of communication, it made me seriously question the reliability and credibility of the school and whether I could depend on the program remaining available long enough for me to complete my training. Because I had received no notification explaining the situation, I drove to the Riverside campus, where I originally enrolled and completed my assessment. Staff there informed me that someone should have contacted me to let me know the San Bernardino class had been canceled. I was also told that the San Bernardino location may be shutting down and that there may be a night class at the Riverside campus toward the end of September if enough students enroll. I am extremely disappointed with how this was handled. I had been enrolled since August 7 and had already waited nearly a month for the program to begin. More importantly, I personally contacted the school only five days before my scheduled start date to verify the class information. Despite that, I was given no indication that the class would not be taking place. There is also an issue involving my workers' compensation education vouchers. The vouchers were returned to me, but I was informed that they had already been submitted for payment. I now have to contact my workers' compensation administrator to make sure payment is not processed so that I can use my vouchers toward a program at another school. I understand that classes can be canceled and circumstances can change. However, I believe an enrolled student should be notified promptly--especially when that student specifically calls days beforehand to confirm the class. Finding out that my class had been canceled only after arriving at a closed campus, seeing an electric-service notice on the door, and then having to drive to another campus to obtain an explanation was extremely disappointing. It has delayed my education and created an additional issue involving my workers' compensation funding. Based on my experience, I would recommend that prospective students get their enrollment information, class start date, and funding status in writing and verify everything before making plans around a scheduled program and continuously check that your class is still scheduled to start.

Their professionalism and systematic approach in making my child feel comfortable, as well as their teamwork to be in and out within a few hours was very admirable, in comparison to our experiences at other places. The campus itself exuded positive energy, as well as the dentistry staff. My daughter, who often doesn't frequently like to walk into new places for long had an awesome experience yesterday. Without removing the existing crown Endodontist decided extraction was needed Something made me feel that he was taking the easy route since my insurance had a set fee on how much it covered and being an upper molar(tooth #3) it wasn't worth his time I contacted Loma Linda School of Dentistry for a second opinion. Thanks to my student dentist,Ian and supervising dentist, my tooth was saved. Crown was removed and little cavity was found and enough tooth structure to determine the tooth was indeed viable I will now only go here for all my dental needs. My issue with her is that she didn't like me,so since she didn't like me, she didn't like my kid. MCDONNELL would talk to everyone girl on the team, and when she would pass by my kid, she would ignore her. When she made the roster, she told my kid that there were only two spots open and one of them is for you, so when the time came to put her on the team, she didn't. Told her oh one of the girls from the soccer team made it instead, but you can be the team manager, and if anyone on the team got hurt, you can sub.. Well, that shit didn't work cause my child ONLY GOT TO PLAY THREE GAMES FOR THE WHOLE SEASON... I would always go to her practice and games.. One of her practices was that she had to leave early because we had a family emergency, MCDONNELL was not too happy about that she looked at my child up and down. I told my kid, "Let's go and MCDONNELL looked at me and rolled her eyes .. I said it nice and clear so MCDONNELL could hear me, I told my kid come let's go we can't stay we have a family emergency what is she going to do not play you, she does that already.. Well, the end of the season came. I was happy because we didn't have to deal with this lady anymore. To top it off, she didn't let us know when the banquet was, and when they team photos, she didn't even name my kid in the year AT ALL.. So yes, because of that dumb ass my child had a bad experience in softball.. So if your kid plays for her, you better be nice to that so-called softball player because she is not one..
