The only thing that bothered me was the admission process because the people working in the office are very rude. I, this year in 2024, was going to go back to complete the AAS program, which is the paralegal associates, but I was deterred once again by the admission workers. So I won't be going back. I'll take my money somewhere else. That's sad that I have to say that because the teachers are good but that staff will keep losing because they are rude and like the lady previously said they aren't helpful they just want your money and then they throw you away like your nothing. I've even called the director ERIC HAPPE and no response. To be exact the person with the attitude is James S. He doesn't respond to emails or calls that's why I gave up on them. I live in San Antonio, so if your in the 210, I wouldn't bother with this school. Good luck everyone!!!

Personally I recommend taking the online course. It's fast and convent. The cost has gone way down and you can get a certificate in about 6-8 months. With that you can do a lot because the legal field is so huge and growing so fast, you can use a paralegal degree or certificate to get your start anywhere!

Well, hoping that this will not the situation for the 2020. I have noticed the reviews were fr 2016-2019. I just hope that the school has paid attention to this little voices. I understand that the category of this school is "for-profit" but I am really hoping that the way they operate will not according to the definition of "for-profit". I did a little bit of research, but most of the answers I got was negative. Though, I have a friend from the other campus, she told me that it was really good there, she mentioned that they have a good administrator, but I am really far from that location. For me, learning is important. You can finish from a most prestigious school but if you did not learn things the right way, it's not worth. At this point I am gambling, i will give my self a chance to really see what this school could offer me. I hope no more negative reviews.. It is pricey and private, but so far since my application, everything was smooth. I never encountered any rude person in campus and over the phone (since the pandemic has started). I just hope this school will really be concern about the quality of learning primarily while doing business. I understand that this is a "for-profit" school. But come to think, if you deliver a good reputation and standards, news will spread and more students will get attracted and the business will be sustained. People skills are important because their are the people that primarily interact with the applicants. If you put a wrong person in front, then they will drive students/applicants away. That means the business will get affected. Competent professors should be treasured too, because they are the one creating brilliant students.

This school is considered a private school FOR WHAT we dont even have a building to ourselves!?? So my question is... The contract I signed with SRS states that the recommendation was to complete and pass a comprehensive road test with the DPS within 6 months of my evaluation with SRS. My evaluation with SRS was completed on March 10, 2025, which gave me until September 10, 2025 to complete my DPS driving assessment. It was completed and passed in May 2025. Additionally, Mr. Strowmatt wrote in his response to the BBB complaint that errors made by the occupational therapist on my vision assessment were intentionally omitted in the SRS evaluation. Mr. Strowmatt wrote, "Due to this mistake [by the occupational therapist] and Ms. Bouse questioning the validity of the test results, SRS elected to omit the outcome of this evaluation." What else does SRS omit from their records?

I was a student at HCC for roughly 2 semesters. I have a bachelors degree from UCF and have…read morereturned to school to pursue a masters, however, needed a few prereqs. I live in Katy, TX and am considered an out of district student, but I decided to go ahead and pay the additional fees. In my short time here is a list of how I was treated. HCC is a school that cares about how much $$$ it can make, not student success. They are good at faking it, but really they have hired a bunch of staff who view it as just a job and not a place were people are changing their lives, need guidance, communication, & support. 1. First advisor was so rude to me, she told me stop talking on the phone. I had reached out to her because after trying to get in touch with her for weeks over email, she finally responded with a generic message how to send in transcripts etc. I called and she happened to answer and was so short & rude to me. 2. I finally had my transcripts sent. The office wouldn't accept them because I had my email CC'ed when they were sent to HCC. So I spent the $15 dollars and they made me repurchase them despite the fact I never opened the transcript, it was sent from the school directly to HCC and it was official. 3. I enrolled in Anatomy 1 online course. First day of class, the entire HCC online system was having issues and half the students couldn't log in. The school sent a message to the entire staff what happened was an IT error, however, my professor still was going to ding us for not showing up to class. She said we should have reached out to IT, had better internet etc etc. IT WAS A SYSTEM OUTAGE. 4. I enrolled in Chem and had to withdrawal from a class for the first time ever in my collegiate career. The professors exams were show your work type questions worth anywhere from 8-10 points each. If you didn't get the entire thing right, your received ZERO points. So what was the point of the written exam then? I tried to talking to her about it and she said I didn't study hard enough. I studied 28 hours I clocked for her exam and she gave me a 50%, refused to explain things to me or work with me so I had to drop. I emailed the head of that dept and she didn't seem to care either. I also heard that same chem professor did the same to several students and even kicked a student out of class for yawning, giving him a zero on his exam. 5. I have attempted to set up a payment plan with this school and was told no or told I can have it broken in half. Just ridiculous. They do not care about your financial situation it seems, want to work with or help their students because unless you pay in full, you cannot enroll in other classes so your education is essentially put on hold. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME.

Once I enrolled in another college I was blown away how I was being treated, complete night and day difference compared to how my experience was at hcc.
