From the parking lot, you'll enter a welcoming visitor center filled with informational displays, live exhibits, and even a 7,500-gallon aquarium. Step outside and explore the working hatchery, which produces between 350,000 and 400,000 pounds of trout each year. Both rainbow and brown trout are raised here, and visitors can even feed them. Bring quarters to feed the trout. The area also features scenic hiking trails and stunning views of Table Rock Dam. It's educational, peaceful, and fun for all ages. We went in with questions and waited for the people in front of us to make their purchases for the trolley. She was a little curt with them about making up their minds about which trolley they'd be on since the trolleys were waiting on them. Now, I've been told by more than a few that the great people of Eureka Springs are never in a hurry so don't expect it. We were also informed that the trolleys are not on a specific time schedule, but you can expect them every 35-40 min. So who cares which one they take? Now it was our turn. We asked about which tours were available and she looked at us like we were idiots. "That's seasonal" with a dismissive tone. We then asked about what the prior guests purchased. She informed us that the trolley tickets were the only thing available to purchase there. You can get tours from other places online only. There is a map placed right in front of the register and the credit card machine is right in front of it so I scooted it over to see it a little better. You would have thought I picked it up to throw it. She about came unglued and reprimanded me for moving it. "THESE WIRES ARE VERY SENSITIVE, DON'T MOVE THIS!". Well maybe try not putting it in front of the map? Maybe don't put a map there as there are several other maps? Seriously lady, maybe you shouldn't be in the front area. Maybe you should be behind the scenes. You're a little on the rude side of life, not fit for public interaction.

Feeling a bit hesitant at first to do it on bike but it was the best feeling. It was a perfect 68, clear skies and lilac blooms along the way. The perfection was almost overwhelming. A tram is also available for a round trip adventure but the bike was just too fun to pass up. Along the way we saw all kinds of little critters, snakes, fish and birds. Stopped at the tree house, chapel and most of the waterfalls. On bike with all the stops about 2 hours, walking could easily be 3+. Bikes are $15 each and I highly recommend getting there early so you have your pick cause the good ones go fast. Some have baskets and you should get one of those and then fill it with a picnic lunch. Little under $20 per person for entry, with discounts for veterans, seniors and children. Large parking but the place is popular, so again if possible arrive early.

Then we drove around a little and found parking areas at campsites close to the river so we could get other views. The ranger did tell us that we could get more places if we had 4WD. We stayed mostly in the middle and lower sections. I wish we'd gone at night for the night sky but wasn't aware of it at the time and needed to move on to our next destination. We will be back in the future to enjoy more of the river and the park.

We wanted to do a river trip, but ended up going with a competitor with friendly and helpful staff. Another problem... power went out at night. We called the office and left a message to call us when they opened. We called the emergency number and got a message that no messages could be left... goodbye... After 8 AM we called the office again and got the same, no message could be left, goodbye. Never heard back from anyone. In all fairness, there were two people behind the desk. One seems nice. This reflects the fact that one employee can ruin the entire experience.
