And it was immediately apparent that Brighton Montessori offered this. We looked at a few different options before choosing BMS and there was a startling difference. In the other daycare centers, the children were running around yelling, a few crying, one kid was climbing up a bookshelf, etc. When we came and looked at BMS, the kids were playing quietly in groups with their "work." Within a few weeks of my son attending BMS he was picking up his toys, pushing in his chair and saying "thank you." All that said, this is not to imply that BMS is strict and quiet! The children are allowed to be children! They run around outside. They sing songs loudly! Everyday my son comes home and proudly show me his artwork. They play play play! The teachers are also fantastic. They are some of the most gentle, kind and compassionate people I've met. My son adores them. He gives them hugs when he leaves for the day. He arrives at school and feels comfortable telling them all the things he did that weekend. He respects his teachers but sees them as allies, not a threat. This is entirely due to their respectful interactions with our children. I could go on and on. There are halloween parades. Christmas cookie parties. They help you with potty training (if desired). They are on Brighwheel as well as WatchMeGrow which helps with taking a peak at what they are doing and getting updates on their day in school. Their timings were perfect for our long days at work (630-630), they provide breakfast, lunch, snacks as well as diapers/bibs/utensils for the younger ones. I was shocked to find how clean and safe this place seemed. Doors are kept locked unless you have a pin code to get in (you choose the PIN number when you officially register) and even the doors stay locked from the inside unless you press a button to exit. There are plenty of rooms which are separated by different age groups, and the kids are closely monitored by their staff. My son is 6 months old and in the infant room. Since some babies are crawling, they have you put on booties so you don't get the floors dirty m from your shoes. They have a 3 step washing process for all toys that are played with. The crib mattresses themselves are cleaned every night and sheets are washed daily. The cribs have a plexiglass surrounding them so babies don't get their legs or arms caught in the slats. The staff has been there several years, so the low turnover rate is fantastic to me. The center director and assistant director were wonderful about answering all my questions. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great day are. Their prices aren't too shabby either.

I appreciate that emotion can influence personal bias in reviews, so I will avoid any subjective comments and highlight my objective experience withdrawing from Everbrook and Everbrook's failure to honor its legal obligations. After giving notice of my child's last date at Everbrook, the director offered to accelerate our departure and waive the notice penalty that would otherwise result from withdrawal. We did not accept the offer in favor of continuous care, and so my child could have an opportunity to say goodbye to his friends and teachers in support of his transition. The week before our scheduled last day, my child forgot a stuffed animal in Everbrook at pick-up. To my shock, my access code had been disabled and we were locked out of the building, despite still having another week under contract. What's more egregious - a daycare center unilaterally breaching a legal contract to provide childcare, or preventing a four year old from saying goodbye to the teachers he's been around for 90% of his life? I'm not sure, but it's an interesting decision for an industry that survives on reputation and mitigating liability.

They are attentive, caring and kind from the teachers to the office staff (Amy is a rockstar - also a precious teacher to my oldest) to the owners Alexis and Paul. My oldest and I moved to South Carolina for what we thought was forever, but ended up being just a few months, and returned to my daughter RUNNING into her teacher's arms and me getting a big hug from the owner Paul. We knew we were home at that moment. The educational program they follow meant both of my kids entered public schools WELL AHEAD of their classmates. And the teacher turnover is minimal as even after more than 7 years both of my kids had many of the same teachers (AND they remembered my oldest daughter and still recalled specific stories!) My youngest was born just before the pandemic began and entered JTots at about 2 years old. The change in her was DRASTIC after just a few weeks. She went from crying anytime she saw a stranger to open arm hugging everyone. We are going to go back for a visit this week to say hello to her teachers while we're on winter break because she misses them like crazy (especially Jinan!) I also referred a coworker and her son to JTots and they are still there. Her son has some health and learning concerns and she says he is excelling ever since going to JTots.
