Stratco

Stratco has a good range of products but lacks in one key area - price. I love the store layout, I…read morelove the generally helpful staff but when a product is almost double the cost of the competitor Bunnings, it is a no-brainer where you should shop. I was looking at a drain with a metallic grate at Bunnings for $30 however the same product was $49 at this store. While I love the quality of some of their products like small sheds and tools, they do lack in things like screws and other key hardware store components. So in a nutshell, Stratco is good but compared to its competitors, it doesn't quite have the right screw for the job.

Everything is very modern and some of their bathrooms look almost minimalistic but the designs are so perfect and creative that you'll hardly find anything in there you don't like. I'm not sure about the price because I didn't call around, but I felt that he was trustworthy, professional, friendly, and efficient. This is the second time I have called Marion Locksmiths - the first time was a couple of years ago, when we locked the keys inside the house, WOOPS! It was 9.00 on a Friday night, and they came out within 20 minutes and had the door open in record time. This time our door lock was stuck - it had been threatening to go for months, but this time I tried for 15 minutes with my key, but was still unable to open it. Marion Locksmiths were the first company I thought of, and the guy was out in about 25 minutes. He took off the lock, cleaned it up, and it has been as good as new ever since - PHEW! Call out fee is $165, which is a lot - but well worth it if you can't get into your house! And at least you know they're always there for you ... just in case ;)
Menzel Plastics have any compound of plastics products needed for all purposes and requirements…read more From buckets for the home to industrial hoses and fittings, pumps and plastic adhesives, laser light roofing and PVC curtains and so much more. There are various sizes of wheelie bins, light diffusers, spray bottles but besides naming stuff they stock, go there and be surprised by the huge range of plastics, PVC, polycarbonate and whatever else is made of plastic for use in all home and business applications. One product I discovered which if fantastic and wish I knew about it earlier, is this stuff called Makrolon Multiwall and it looks like glass. It's apparently used alot in architectural building designs where it's not safe to use glass or it needs to be flexible, so this is the next best thing. I can completely imagine a pitched roof pergola having this polycarbonate sheeting, in the right orientation. It's certainly come along way since the original green or grey only tinted laserlite pergola sheeting, which over time developed that crackled look. And without sounding like a commercial, there's another cool product called VuPlex and it's a plastics cleaner and polish. It claims to get rid of scratches in plastic...what will they think of next!

Just want to add though that you can order materials from them as well. Anything at all you need in any size. You just let them know the material and dimensions, they will give you a rpice, cut it for you and get it ready. There is a cutting fee but it's worth paying them to do it because you only need to stuff one up and you may as well have just paid the fee in the first place. It's not easy stuff to cut. So if you need something in particular give them a call and they can let you know what size lengths the material comes in and how much you would need.

One of there main points of advertisement is their 24 Hour service this is not the case since one night i got locked out of my bloody car after i had a few glasses of "Apple Juice" at 4 am, Yes that's right these lazy bastards couldn't get them asses out of bed and drive to the pub to unlock my car. So i had to get a bloody cab back to my house and hired a tow truck to tow my car back. $2,500 dollars all because my car was locked. I am shocked and appalled by the service of this business and i hope they are ashamed of themselves. Jk I am joking the tow truck was only 2k but the rest was true.

Mark Heidenreich is the man to talk to if you fancy one of those gorgeous terra cotta vases or…read moreurns, pot planters or bird baths to sit in your patio area or somewhere in the garden. He is a shy but talented fellow who quietly works away in the yard of his studio shopfront and creates magnificently beautiful items for sale. He has a reputation for delivering on time, within budget and always quality produce. You could go to one of those import shops that bring planter pots from over seas, and the price may be marginally better, but you are bound by what they can provide you with - if you go to Mark, he is making what you are paying for, so you can negotiate subtle nuances on the item - the family crest for example, or the name of the house... maybe you would like a particular shape. What Mark does is create art - so it is in the original art end of the price scale, but have a look at his work and chat to him before you rush off elsewhere and buy something that may not make you as happy as something Mark will create. He is not so expensive it's not worth checking out. He is just not a bargain basement either. The work is very high quality and you may be one of those people who enjoy supporting local talent as well, so consider a visit to his wonderful studio where you are likely to find the character and atmosphere wins you over, along with the man himself, he is a really nice guy.
